Won't Load Message Conversations - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

I've been using Handcent for quite some time and it randomly wouldn't load my conversations. I've tried clearing data on the stock messages app and handcent, plenty of power offs and battery pulls. I backed up my messages and deleted them but still nothing, I also havent been receiving any messages for the past hour. I've also tried GoPro and still nothing.

[Q] Gmail frozen, not syncing.

Has anyone had this happen? I have been running Eugene's Hybrid R3 for a week or so now with no issues. Yesterday afternoon, I noticed that my LauncherPro Gmail Icon said I had 5 new emails. So, when I open Gmail at the top it says Inbox (5), but there are no new emails to open or read. When checking on the PC yes I do have 5 emails. So I tried refreshing, reconnecting, removing syncing for gmail, rebooting, and a few other things and still nothing.
Even today, I got on the pc and emptied my inbox, but my phone still says 5 new emails and when I open gmail it still showing the 2 read messages that were there yestrerday. It's really just frozen, not updating read, unread, new, etc.
I've also tried on 3g and Wifi, no difference.
Any ideas?
I'll be reflashing in a day or two when Eugene releases his new one, but it's a bit annoying right now.
Forget it. Got bored and reflashed Hybrid R3. I had too much crap installed and changed anyway. Working great again.

Incoming Message Blocked

I've had this problem a couple times now, and specifically three or four times in the past six hours.
With the stock Messenger App, auto delete set to occur after threads have reached 200, again this is all the stock settings. I'll get the standard notification sound that a new message has been received. But instead I get a notification that says something along the lines of:
'Incoming message blocked, message limit reached'.
After this occurred the first time tonight I deleted all my longer threads (all of which were still under 200 messages). This is what I did the first time months ago when it first occurred, and haven't had issues since. Anyway the problem persisted this time, and I ended up having to delete all my messages and threads, not to mention I didn't receive upwards of 4 messages tonight, which really could end up screwing things up for me.
It appears that either there's an overall limit for maximum messages regardless of thread length, which is being reached, or maybe a maximum amount of threads. Either way it sucks.
I would have thought this to be a pretty common problem, but wasn't able to find anything.
Look at your free space in /data partition (free space for apps). Did you notice "low on space" notification? You probably had less than 20MB left, and under this condition incoming SMS are blocked.

[Q] Native SMS notifications

I have started to have this problem and because I'm quite pedantic it's rather annoying me.
I've been using chompsms since I had the T-Mobile G1 and never had a problem with it, but in the last few days the native messaging app has just decided to start pushing notifications again even though notifications are turned off. While it's nothing major, it's bloody annoying!!!
I've tried numerous roms, it's the same in every one, I've tried freezing the native messaging app in titanium and then I didn't receive any messages at all. I've even tried a different messaging app and still the same. I know it doesn't really effect anything apart from my sanity. Has anyone come across anything like this before cos if I don't work this out soon, I'm gonna have pulled all my hair out lol

Contacts app keeps crashing

My contacts app keeps crashing randomly. Anyone else facing this issue?
nope not facing that issue. did you use some sort of package disabler?
or installed other contacts or phone apps?
Same here. Can't make any calls via dialer cause Contacts app keeps crashing
Mine freezes as well. Randomly. At least one time a day (two-three max). Only rebooting the phone does help till next time. Tried to uninstall several programs I've been using with no luck. Samsung support suggested to restore to defaults. I'm using two sim cards simultaneously. I do like the phone, but crashing apps wasn't that I was truly looking for.
having the same issue. When receiving calls the icon flashes on the notifications bar but nothing on screen, no app takes over display. Speed dial, contacts and dialing caused all to crash but calls still go through apparently.

Delayed notification for Whatsapp, Signal, G Voice

I did extensive search and found no fix so far.
Problem: if my phone is locked for maybe 10min, then it will not display notification for incoming Signal, Whatsapp and Google Voice messages, until I unlock the screen and run the apps. In other words, I will not get notified of new messages if the phone is locked for over 10 minutes.
Native Messenger app is not affected, it displays incoming message right away. Gmail is good too.
I do not use Wifi, it is turned OFF. I am on Data 100% with T-Mobile. Stock ROM, rooted with Magisk and TWRP.
I have done "Battery Not Optimized", "unrestricted data", Battery saving mode is set Never, and there is no battery saving apps installed such as Greenify etc.
I have removed and reinstalled these apps from Play store, cleared data and cache, the whole 9 yards.
Still stuck with delayed notification.
Anyone with suggestions?
Thanks,
