[Q] restore

can anyone tell me how can i restore all my apps(which are both on sd-ext and phone) via a nandroid backup???
i made a backup of my system in cyanogen...now im shifting to other rom...
if it is possible to restore only the apps then plz tell me the steps

Advanced Restore-->restore data..
n ur apps n contacts sms will be back againn..

I usually switch between different cyanogen mods because I get bored of it
I wanted to switch to cm7.2 from cyanogen music edition ...bit now I switched back to music edition..
As squadzone's cm7.2 lacks a2sd inbuilt and I fear if enable it and then restore me data like stated above ..ill freeze my fone ...so im wid music edition for the time

you do not need to wipe data and cache just wipe dalvik cache in advanced option so you do not need to restore it again and again thats a better thing to do

for a2sd u can use an app called "s2e"...it works great on CM7!!!

Im on rc 5.6 with an a2sd darktremor script, so here's the problem, everytime i install an apk regardless of the app, and where it came from, Google play, from the net. And etc.. My phones crashes, it reboots by itslef help me

Try making a nandroid and restore it...once it worked for me...

maybe the script is the problem try to use another script but first try the above option it is more suitable

I too had this problem. What I did was: I changed my bootanimation.zip and poweron.ogg to something a little more soothing. So after that whenever my phone rebooted, it felt a little less annoying. Sometimes I even wished it rebooted so that I could see the cool animation I put. I know this is not a fix but it may help you if you do not wish to wipe data and cache.

after installing dt a2sd script and go to apn setting and create a new one

Cant conec to the internet even if i have strong wifi signal

[NEW IDEA] CWM Backup on other phone

So I had this little problem.
I have a SGM and running CyanogenMod 7.2.0 rc2 by mebitek and I think I will stick with it for a long time. It is the most stable one for me so far...
Lets jump straight into the problem. My brother also bought a Mini and he wants to have the same ROM as me with the same apps installed and all....
I had this idea....
To backup my rom, flash clockwork in my brother's phone and than copy the backup folder of my phone and put it in his sd card/clockworkmod/backup and than reboot in recovery and restore the backup....
Will it have all the apps installed and will the cm rom be flashed ???
Please some "experts" reply....

It should work, but that way he will also have your google account linked to his phone, unless you make a clean install first, don't add account, install apps from apk and make a backup.

and we have also a way to remove account without data wipe so no problem

That's great, why don't you share it then?

just cut paste all the account related apps like Google login service and all sync adapter to any other place then reboot and copy all the apps back to /system/app and you are done

Apocalypse

Hi can someone help me? Is the apocalypse buggy or do i need to at least reboot it once a day? Its kinda laggy, i have amarulzz script and adreline engine for cm. Its still doesnt make any faster
Edit: in fact, can anyone tell me how to boost up my apocalypse so that it has no more force close and lags?

Wats exactly ur issue?? I am using amarullz script and apoclypse for abt 10 days now ... everything is smooth ...
But i am planning to go back to stock rom with amarullz script ... just hate custom roms now ... hehe maybe the battery life improves on stock rom...

Everything is kinda okay now because i tried OC so its so lag eventhough i only OC to 844. Now its okay. Yeah maybe im changing too the battery life is just a damn. But love apocalypse, its so nice :')

apocalypse rom is really great.. i ve tried few roms (incl unofficial cm9) but i am satisfied with this... nice speed and no hangs or sluggishness..

Yeah you right. I do agree with you +1 but...... The battery life... Not as same as stock rom. I do love this rom anyway, not changing to any other rom unless i find something as nice as....... THE BEASTLY APOCALYPSE !!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA

If you are having lags without OC, then that is unusual man, you have a bad flash, i am using apocalypse with amarullz for 2 weeks now, blazing fast and smooth.
Try reflashing, and flash fresh from odin and then flashing this.
Leave amarullz for a few days and test the rom's performance.
Its a really good rom

Maybe you can try with terminal and write su boost and you can see that terminal is now activated

Ohhhh.... I'm just lazy to do the odin thingy... Can I just re flash from custom stock rom? Plus, i tried play pes12 on the apocalypse but it just lag... Now I'm on xperia s rom, wis to change it because the ui is not my type..

i love apopclypse but i just need good battery life. .. so i am back on stock rom with CF Root. .. anyone can help me plz. .. i am using stock rom and i cant use amarullz script. . it gives bootloops... any solution for that? ??

Its better to flash through odin first, would make sure you don't get any bugs later, you have already tried without it and it wasn't successful.

Isn't Apocalypse missing some essential things? Like turning the mobile internet on/off in the Status Bar?
Or showing contacts that are only on the sim-card?
Or am I the only one who is having these "problems" ?

There are no problems in this rom, its just you are not using the settings menu.
Explore a bit, everything is there. There are settings for everything, try them you will get everything you want.

Okay, I actually found the settings for the status bar.
But I couldn't find settings to show the contacts that are saved on the Simcard (I don't want to copy them to sd-card, or phone or anything).
Also, the SMS-App is not working for me. I'm getting an error message when I try to start the SMS-App. (could not launch the requested activity).
Does anyone know what this is about? I tried to flash it again, and I still got the same error.

Did u even read the first post of the apocalypse's rom?? Its a barebones rom, it does not have the messaging app, or the camera app, or the music app and not even the gallery!!!
You have to put them yourself, whichever app you like get it from the playstore or extract from another rom. There is also a thread in apps section, some apps are there too.
You guys just download the rom and flash it, don't even know what you are flashing, you'll get your phone killed one day due to simple neglect.

Well if its not there in the display options then u will have to import them to phone to see them.
There is also an option for All other contacts in display options, that doesn't shows sim contacts?

maybe it's a silly question but did you try the rom without amarulzz and adrenaline? i mean, to know if it is the rom, the script or the engine that makes your rom laggy. because i've used apocalypse and its very fast by itself and i didnt have any lags

A2SDX error for CM 10.1

hey....developers please help me...i have participate my sd card...and i hve installed cm 10.1 bt when i flash the A2SDX zip file ..then i restarts phone i got many errors..so much things is not working.......infact any app is nt installs after flash the file...i hve tried many app2sd zip files bt NO solution.... plz..help me..any one give me solution....

I know that. I had the same problem. Tryed it with S2E and Link2sd but after the last update I couldn't get them to work properly either. After a long doubt I decided to go back to Cm7.2. But with some regrets too because CM10.1 is really super and very smooth.
But I really can't do without A2SDX and CM10 is to sluggish. Pity...

I've read it on the cm10.1 thread, swap works fine but not the a2sdx. Best thing to do is wait or get an alternative. Anyone can suggest? I'm new to these apps to SD or something
