PARANOIDANDROID 1.6a problem on UI Tablet - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So from AOKP Build 40 i switched to this PARANOIDANDROID 1.6a, i want to know how i can make my tablet UI look like the one in AOKP Build 40.
They said that i can change it in the Paranoid Settings/Hybrid Settings, but i already set them all to Stock DPI (Tablet) but still the UI looked like the phone UI, and very large compared to the AOKP
What should i do? Paranoid android 1.6a seems stable for me

sorry if i'd asked a stupid question, i'd figured it out already, i just have to set it individually in the apps section haha omg.

[Q] ICS Tablet UI

Hi all!
I'm a big fan of Windows/Honeycomb UI. I've always wondered to boot honeycomb on my smartphone, and I'm now interested how to use ICS tablet UI in my Galaxy S.
I've tried to change dpi (teamhacksung's ICS). I used 120 value, and system tried to switch into tablet mode, but only partially - notification bar disappeared, desktop switching is tablet-like (3D) now, and some apps switched into tablet (I suppose so), but nothing more.
I'd be happy to just feel the "honeycombish" interface, even only for some fun, and you guys?
i gave this a go myself, i was messing around with the DPI settings and realised certain parts of the UI were scaling and changing. But when i set the value to low my status bar was constantly crashing. I just going to assume perhaps a few changes in the code may be needed to make the ICS tablet UI function properly on a mobile device.
Thats right. I'm interested why there is noone who started developing such mod. There was a lot of ports and fun about honeycomb on phones, and now is just a pure occasion to feel it on mobile device in all it's glory! It would be a great fun to mess with tablet UI on my I9000.
Anarkia had created one,am using it currently. Go to android development and look for aokp b33 by anarkia. Or go direct to the file location http://www.mediafire.com/?88ixkz88i...m,k7k983ibfaqky89,st7y71d1dcrjg,62on90o85pb6h

FYI,anarkia already stopped dev on tablet ui,but his alpha version for me is use-able.
Peace.

[Q] Galaxy S i9000 Slimbean 2.3 Lockscreen Shortcuts

Hey All
1st post here.
Im from Cape Town, South Africa.
I have recently installed Slimbean 2.3 on my Galaxy S. Was on Slim ICS 4.2 before.
Everything works like a charm and I am very happy.
One thing that I havent managed to figure out yet, is the following. (And yes, I have searched, and also Im not allowed to post in the Slimbean thread):
On the lockscreen, where you have the unlock slider, I can not find the "sound/silent/vibrate" toggle anywhere.
So when your phone is locked and you want to change it to quiet/silent without having to unlock first, you simply slide to the "sound on/off" shortcut and it changes the phone setup to silent or vibrate and vice versa.
I have tried to find the setting in ASS lockscreen settings and I can change it to all sorts of app shortcuts, etc, I just cant find the sound switch
It was one of the standard options on Slim ICS roms.
Someone please help?
Cheers
Bus
Already considered that it just isn't included in Slim Bean (yet)?

Thank you for the reply. I assume you are THE Dark knight man?
I suppose its possible for it to not be included yet...
But you godlike devs astound me with the magic that you come up with
So as a mere mortal, I just expected something so minor to be incorporate almost as a given, hehehe...
Will wait and see
thanks
Bus
Now on Slimbean 2.4 and still no option for this.
Anyone who can help?
Or know how to make it work?
Thanks
they haven't included those lock screens since GB roms
you should use an application for that capability

[REQ] Tablet UI/Navbar?

i wanted the same thing too so i tried installing Xposed framework + TabletUI module
i soft rebooted the phone and i can see that TabletUI is applied, just that everything is oversized (till this stage, all is fine)
but when i tried to change the dpi using Density changer available on play store to 240dpi and reboot, i had bootloops....
so tablet ui actually works on stock rom...but somebody has to figure out a way to change dpi without causing bootloop
i had to restore my phone after applying 240 dpi...so DON'T CHANGE dpi!!!!!
Dude, tons of us have changed DPI... I myself have it at 320. 240 sounds incredibly low, though.
just wanna clarify, i dont wanna do this through DPI changing lol, i wanna keep everything in the same size/proportion, just a different layout, if you know what i mean....

[Q] My Icons & Text on my Phone became blurry, Pls Help

I'm using samsung galaxy note n7000 and i have been using custom roms on it. I just change each time from Paranoid Android to JellyBam each time there's and update. I decided to try out RootBox Rom (nightlies). I don't usually install nightlies but i did this and i noticed my icons where blurry. Normaly i use 260 or 280 dpi and its very clear, sharp and crisp. i thought this problem was from the nighlies version of the ROM so i switched back to PA. the problem was still there. I installed JellyBam 8.2.0 and this problem still remained.
Please Help, I don't know what to do
the phone looks a little ok when its at 320dpi but still blurry. not sharp as it used to be then its worse if i switch to 280dpi or lower.
the photo below is on 280dpi

to me they look ok, it might be the background due to which they seem bit blurry. you can try using icon themer from play store or icon pack and use them with any launcher. I am using this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gau.go.launcherex.theme.mnml&feature=search_result
you're on latest nightlies??.. I'ts a known bug on cm base rom and I think it has been fixed, flash the latest rootbox nightlies or chnge to other rom...

i'd post a different pic. this ones looks ok from the net, u need to see it from my phone.
its not just the icons on the launcher. also when i launch an app, u'd notice the blur.. I've used this phone for long and it has not been this way.
im running a stable build not nightlies.

[Q] [REQ] HTC One GE 4.3 Mods

After playing around with tons of Sense, AOSP/CM-based, and Google Edition ROMs, I find they all have things I like, but haven't found my "dream ROM" just yet.. Carbon is probably the closest, but the 4.3 nightlies are way too buggy, and they are having problems with their M7 builds lately..
Regardless, I think the 4.3 Google Edition ROMs are the most stable, and would be the perfect base if I could just get these mods integrated into it, if it is even possible..
Better Battery icons, like Brick or Speedometer
HALO
MIUI 1-px battery bar on the top pixel of the display
Full APM (Advanced Power Menu), with Reboot into Recovery & Bootloader
CyanogenMod 10.2 SMS app with Emoji Support
More statusbar toggles, and the ability to select which ones I want
IR-blaster support
I know I am basically describing Carbon, but I'm afraid it's going to be a while before they iron out the bugs.. And even on the 4.2.2 builds of Carbon, AOSP, and CM, the audio was always much lower then Sense or GE based ROMs with Beats enabled. I always thought Beats was BS, but the difference in audio on Sense/GE and other ROMs on my M7UL is incredible.
I don't mind installing each thing as a separate mod, but I am not a big fan of Xposed, so I'd prefer to avoid it if possible.
I guess the main mods would be the battery icons, and a full APM. Is there a list somewhere of all the GE 4.3 mods available?
Thanks, and sorry for the wall-o-text!
