Dont have one but by judging it id say what do you have to lose for 7$ just dont expect alot for your dollar you know ? i might order one myself.
The stylus would be no good for the Nexus, the keyboard won't work (at least not without an adaptor) and it would be at least an inch thick when closed, don't waste your money.

I rooted my Kindle Fire and added a custom ROM which allowed OTG, so the keyboard work. The keys are tiny and the clips don't hold the Nexus at all.

i've actually got one of those. the guy i bought it from on ebay supplied a usb OTG adapter with it.
works flawlessly with my nexus 7. at first it throws you off a bit since the keys arent standard sized, but i adapted to it fairly easily enough.
as mentioned, the clips dont really hold the nexus 7 in place, so dont expect this to be protecting your nexus 7. on mine, i just went to a hardware store and bought some of those hooks you'd normally stick to a wall and just stuck it to the case to make sure my nexus 7 doesnt slip out accidentally.
its good for the price, but if you're willing to spend a bit more, there are better keyboard cases out there.

Well you thought wrong. The pictures don't match the descriptions claims & the pics date from pre release so are probably for a different model.

If you look at the picture, you'll notice that the device they are showing it with is a Kindle Fire with a Nexus 7 screen photoshopped onto it or running an ICS/JB ROM. It looks like it would NOT cover the USB port, but would cover the audio jack.
I was thinking of trying This because it has the automatic sleep/wake sensor at a great price. Only problem I have w/ it is it looks a bit bulky.

I found a phone number for them & the chap promised that all ports are accessible. He said it was a photoshopped image because it went up before the Nexus 7 was released. He said he had received his Nexus 7 this morning so I'm going to assume he knows what he is talking about. I placed an order anyhow so we'll see when it gets here.

Perfect Fit
Hi, I can confirm (as the seller of the product) that all ports are uncovered and the case is the perfect fit for the nexus 7.
Regards,
Parm
Laptop Kit
My case arrived this morning, but alas, my N7 didn't. Ordered 28 June.
The magnetic closure seems to work, and is not too strong.
I received my case this morning. It fits my Nexus 7 perfectly. All ports available & the smart sensor (yes I know it is a magnet) is working 100%. Not bulky like I thought it would be.
I'd totally recommend this. For the price it is top notch. :good:

First of all, sweet username.
Second, is the lid held shut magnetically when it is closed?
Third, has anyone ordered one of these in the U.S.? Laptop Kit has a new store on the American version of Amazon, but I got a little nervous when it said it was shipping from the UK. I was wondering what other sort of fees I might be facing.

Yes it is held shut magnetically. And it is completely secure. If I wave it around upside down it doesn't show any signs of opening.
If you go through the checkout process on Amazon.com it will estimate the duty due (if any) according to this page. Under Import Fees Deposit

Yes it is. I mostly use it like that, as my main reason for getting it was as an ereader.
..
I just got this one as wel off the seller on eBay (Carbon Fibre version). Fantastic case for the price, and really happy that it has a smart sensor magnet that works perfectly.
I'm still able to fit the Nexus 7 in my jeans pocket (side and back) with the case on, so it's not too bulky.
Dirt cheap but cutouts are all in the right place, the device is a snug fit and it magnet thingy too!

i've got one of these. works fairly well, but can take a bit of getting used to.
I really like using my Microsoft Arc keyboard. It's pretty much full size, but I can't type anywhere near as fast on anything smaller. It's slick, light and has a carry pouch. Tiny dongle into USB OTG cable.
I also have a mini bluetooth keyboard that is about the size of my phone. It's ok, but not any great advantage over the on screen keyboard.
Out of all the bluetooth keyboards that I have seen, Logitech one is by far the best.

I'm using my old Galaxy Tab keyboard/case. Had to shim the bottom to get it centered in the case, but it works reasonably well.

I still have the hp touchpad keyboard, it's pretty good to type on and light weight too, just not sure how to carry both together.

I've got one too. Great to haul around for note taking. It fits well in a bag since it's ~1/4" thick up until the battery compartment. Just wedge your N7 under the thin part and let the back of the keyboard sit off to the side.

Just got another comment from the Amazon thread, and apparently it doesn't fit the Nexus 7 very well:
R. Brent says:
I also bought this keyboard to use with the Nexus 7. I'm a bit impressed with how usable it is, as long as I remember not to try and type quickly.
The Nexus 7 is not a good fit. The adjustable clip doesn't quite get tight enough, and the Nexus 7 will slide out from the sides. However, it does work to hold it upright.
For less than $10, I still think it was worth the price though.

I purchased 3 different ones just like that. they all work with NeXus 7 no issues. The top arm moves up and down and fits the NeXus 7 just fine. I even have it with the NeXus7 case on it. then it becomes a tight fit.
But it does work, and for 10-15 bucks depending on which one you purchase.

Naw, not quite:
If you turn the case sidewise, the Nexus slides out. Keeping the Nexus inside its case makes it a good fit though.
Naturally when i first bought my N7 i wanted to put it right inside of a case to avoid damaging the tablet. I am a pretty clumsy guy, so i went right onto Amazon to look for a case suitable for the N7. I discovered this tablet case/stand and usb keyboard combination, marked down from $32.00 to $7.15. It comes with a usb keyboard, that seems a bit flimsy, but is reported to work the N7 just fine. And the N7 fits right into the case without any issues and is
very secure. The only downside is it does not come with an otg cable, but those are cheap now. The cases exterior is made of artificial leather, but it feels nice and i feel my tablet is safe inside the case. It also has a stand, and its very sturdy and it sits the tablet a good angle. I think its a good product especially for the price. Hope this helps.

The keys look a little too small for those who type very fast. But for 7 bucks, i mean its worth a shot.
Anyone try this? If so how are the keys?
Read some reviews and for the price you cannot do better. However, if its somewhat hard to type on people might be better off with the touchscreen keyboard.
Good find!!

I tried to type on the keys, just to get a feel for it, and they do seem a small, especially if your a big guy (im 6'2 200 plus). It just may take some getting used to, but as you said for the price you can't beat it.
This type of case has been posted about a few times now, it won't work with your N7, at least not without you also buying an adaptor, it has the wrong connector. The styluses are only good for the bin as they won't work either.
I had this same case on my very first tablet, it was OK... you will easily find a better case for not much more money, the keyboard worked with my old tablet just fine (need to use an adapter and you will too if you use it with the n7) it felt OK typing on it but it was better than the onscreen keyboard.
With the n7 I feel this on screen keyboard would be better than the one supplied with case
The stylus worked on that tablet but. Doubt it would on the n7 as this is a capacitative touch while my old tablet was resistive (yeah I know terrible but it was my first tablet a long time ago)
I bought a cheap 7$ case from eBay for my n7, it works, seems protective, folds to a stand but **** is it ugly! I only used it a few days and have been using my tablet naked form then on, still in the market for a nice case, maybe in the 15-30$ range if anyone has any recommendations
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I bought one of these cases with the built-in keyboard:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/370569042688
and one of these OTG adapters:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261063649106
and together they work fine on my N7. The keys are on the small side but they're not terrible. If I ever have the inclination to do more than a little typing on my tablet then it would be quite satisfactory.
I don't understand why the need for an OTG cable. Any micro adapter will do. Or just buy a keyboard with a microusb cable in it already. The only problem that I didn't expect (size was a given) was that the usb cables on these cheap keyboards are waaay to thin and break easily. My suggestion is to get a bluetooth keyboard for another twenty bucks. That is until I find out that they also have some manufacturing problem.

problem would be battery life for the tablet and the keyboard, seems to use a lot more than just usb. and you can get keyboards of higher quality and the proper port, they are just more expensive than I'm willing to pay

"The smaller tablet is not as good at content creation as its larger siblings, but for those curious about external keyboards I found one that works with the Nexus 7. The Logitech Keyboard Case for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 pairs and works with the Nexus 7, even the special tablet control keys. The Nexus 7 doesn't fit in the stand, though, so it's an iffy pair at best."
I just actually received this keyboard today. It's very high quality, sturdy and typed very quickly when I paired it with my HTV Evo 4G LTE. Unfortunately, my nexus is RMA-ing right now so I'm not able to try it with that. I stuck my old kindle keyboard (about the same size as the nexus 7) in the built-in stand just to see how it fits and it stood fine, however I'm concerned that the nexus 7 might be too thick.
However, if you use this and a decent folio case from amazon, it is BY FAR the cheapest and probably best option I've seen.

The onesaleaday.com item is a keyboard stand but it doubles as a "case" where you can "lock" your galaxy tab 10.1 onto the recessed keyboard. The Nexus 7 will not fit that way obviously but Im thinking it will fit in the 'stand' part of it.
EDIT: Galaxy Tab 10.1 Thickness is .33" - Nexus 7 Thickness is .41". Probably will not fit. A couple of mm makes a big difference
If nothing else, its still a cheap bluetooth keyboard solution
I just got mine today in the mail and I'm using it right now to type this and its pretty good, feels well built and connected with no problem. The Nexus doe not fit in the stand to hold it up, its too thick, but I knew that before I bought it, for the price it seems to be worth it 15$ shipped and it has shortcuts to different programs like email and Google Now and can control the volume. I'm happy with it!

Is there such a thing, for my Nexus S of course. I saw a post but it was really really fat and ugly. I love physical keyboards, one that looks natural and isn't too bulky.
Few months back, Teambuy was selling this for $10 with purchase of a cheap 7" Android tablet, After some searching, found the same USB keyboard selling for C$10 then. Not sure if it will work with Nexus S though. http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh.../Cool_Gadgets/USB_Keyboard_Case_for_Tablet_PC
However, just found this Bluetooth keyboard case that was designed to fit Nexus 7, I believe it should work with Nexus S. http://www.chinavasion.com/china/wh...s/Bluetooth_Keyboard_Case_for_Google_Nexus_7/
I've bought and received a Bluetooth voice recorder from them a few weeks back, at a fraction of the cost offered by US retailers. Can confirm that this site is not a scam.
I think you are confused at just how much smaller our NS is compared to a N7.
