My phone will no longer restore to factory stock ROM even though I have done back ups.
This appears to have caused the phone to "lock"back to the original network and is why I am getting the error when trying to connect to the new mobile network.
How can I unlock it with ICS by Cyanogen?

I have a p925g, unlocked but originally from rogers canada. Using it on Koodo. It had a funky digitizer so i replaced it, (ghost touches only half screen responded). All good right? No. Phone works fine for about 2 minutes then loses connection. Does not get it back ever.
Try the simple stuff first, factory reset, Ensure sim is properly inserted, manual APN entry for koodo. reboot. no signal.
Use lg software, upgrade to 4.0.4, factory reset. Yay! SIM works, for two minutes. never again.
Root using wpark method, install CWM, then xbsalls rom, xbsav8, factory reset, Yay! SIM works, for two minutes. never again.
Change 5 different basebands, nothing, use getRiL, error everytime (RiL and baseband dont match).
Flash back to stock froyo redo stock bootloader etc.Yay! SIM works, for two minutes. never again.
Upgrade back to stock ics, same thing
I'm sensing a pattern here. After about 90-120 seconds the signal DbA drops out and I lose all connection to the network no matter what ROM I use and it's the same thing every time. I get "reorganizing internal processes- please try again shortly" for about 30 seconds, then I can make and receive calls and mssgs, then it drops off and wont work again until i re-install the rom (any rom)
My question is, has anyone heard of this before? Could it be my SIM? Or hardware?
Thanks for any help.
managed to do getRiL while I had a signal. screenshot attached.
Recently tried the nightlies for Cyan 10.2, wasn't satisfied, flashed older Cyan 10.1 and proper GAaps. Clean wiped and formatted. Phone has gone bunk. Restarting causes the phone to go into AP Fastboot instead of normal reboot or recovery. However, starting in fastboot and choosing to boot normally works.
Real is issue is, upon restarting, was told to insert SIM card, despite it already being in the phone. Checked the card, seems to be fine, however, there's no network connection, and can't turn on wifi. Best bet I've been linked to is the fact that the APN settings are gone. Tried putting in the same APN settings from a default atrix hd phone, but saving the settings takes me back to the empty list of APN's.
Looking for possible solutions, either to why none of the APN's wont save, why they're gone in the first place, and why booting seems to be messed up now.
What did you format? Maybe the modem by mistake?

Seems to have been the issue.
Decided after finding out I may be able to trade in my phone for a newer model to just unroot and restore to default. Ran stock ROM with RSD, everything seems fine.
Only other question is, will relocking the boot loader with fastboot keep the phone running presentably so I can trade it in? Stock ROM and recovery are running fine, only thing left if getting rid of the warranty void message.
Can't relock bootloader.

you could flash a new image over the bootloader unlocked image. it most likely would not take much image wise to fool them.
Hello all,
Every ROM I have tried to flash has come with some type of problem or another.
I have a SIM locked T-Mobile HTC One with a PTel SIM inside. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, and installed TWRP. Then, I downloaded several ROMs and tried to flash them (after doing wipe data and cache). Here are the specific problems I have run into with each ROM.
OneDroid: The screen keeps popping up "Unfortunately, Android Keyboard has stopped". After second boot, in addition to the other error message, the screen keeps popping up systemUI has stopped. The whole thing is just unusable.
Android Revolution HD: I am unable to obtain any phone signal.
ViperOne: Same issue, no signal.
InsertCoin: I can't get a proper HSPA+ connection due to incorrect APN settings. I have followed the directions on PTel's own website, but was unable to obtain data. It's a shame because I like this ROM the most of all.
MaximusHD: The only ROM to have worked properly.
I am sure I have done something wrong somewhere. I guess I'll just live with MaximusHD.
MaximusHD is completely stock with very minor changes. For other ROMs you have to select (or flash additional stuff) that you have T-Mobile device I think. But it is better to have their threads searched for "T-mobile".
I have been using CM11 (14-03-2014 I believe), without major problems until yesterday. Sometimes my phone seemed to disconnect from my SIM and I had to re-enter my pin code to reconnect to my operators network. But as of yesterday my device doesn't seem to recognize the SIM card, It doesn't ask for a code at all and can't make any connection whatsoever. I didn't change a thing, this problem started out of the blue.
I wiped cache and dalvik, updated to the latest CM nightly (08-05) but that didn't make any difference. In other threads I read about the baseband that might need an update, but I can't check which version I have now because when I try to enter the hidden menu I get the no network connection error. The strange thing is that CM11 has worked with (I guess) the stock baseband.
Is my phone tripping or could it be that my SIM card is broken?
Help and thoughts will be very much appreciated
Try it on stock to be sure about it.
After some searching I found a phone that could fit a regular SIM card, a Blackberry 9900. My SIM worked perfect in this phone, so that is not the problem.
I Also did a complete wipe and installed a stable version of CM 10.1.3, but that didn't seem to help. I hoped that a downgrade would have done the trick. I might try a ICS ROM or the stock firmware, but I kind of lost hope and i'm starting to think this problem is hardware related in stead of software. I'll report back with results on stock firmware and the ICS ROM.
How can I make sure the SIM reader in my phone is working properly?
Sorry for double posting, but I got an update:
SIM wasn't working with ICS so I decided to go back to the stock ROM. However, when I tried to flash V20B.kdz with KDZ_FW_UPD, the program got stuck at wParam=2010 and iParam=210. The phone is now stuck in S/W Update mode, and I haven't found a way to restore it yet. I will argue a little more with my phone when I get back from work, I'll open a new thread on how to unbrick when I can't do it myself.

I have the same problem, and exactly the same error at reflash.
Dead end. Buy a new phone .
I tried to flash it about 80 times. One guy from a gsm repair has a bit luck and make it work at the first, but then, when he wanted to repair my imei, the phone stucked again in S/W Upgrade.
No signal+data or imei number when flashing any custom rom(Sprint). If I flash back to my nandroid backup i have to then go to the sprintDM and do a device update and profile update before i get my signal back. it acts as if it is activating the device again. The first few times I had flashed custom roms this didnt happen, but when I finally decided which rom I was going to settle on (Elixr) for the time being, I flashed it and havnt been able to get a data signal since. Any ideas on what I could do here?
