Hello,
I am currently running tayutama's Froyo version without any complaints other than that it's a little outdated and i would love to try a more recent rom with the accompanied recent developments in the kernel scene.
I'm looking for a reliable rom that will fit the YA-OK kernel afterwards.
It has to have all bloatware removed, but not as much as in the insanity rom.
Looking at the DOC rom i can't stand how many apps are in there, that is definately not the rom for me at the moment.
The rom has to support dutch swype and locale.
Does anyone have a suggestion what's the best rom for me to use from now on?
Thanks and greetings,
LentoViolentoMan
you can choose not to flash the medium and full packages for doc.. it's quite minimalist IMO

Yep that's the one i'm using, i've been looking at the steely mod and at doc's rom for now to put on my SGS. (didn't know there was a base Doc version, so, thanks)
When you are speaking of cyan, which rom is that?
There are also multiple versions of Doc's rom, which one is the best when you want to use dutch swype etc? Is it possible to install dutch locale and swype through a zipfile like i did with the current tayutama rom?

Whats YOUR favorite Galaxy Note N7000 Rom?
Ice-Cream Sandwhich or Gingerbread Roms?
I personally use MidNote ICS ROM & Abyss Kernel. I like it a lot i just haven't tried any others yet.
The only non-stock rom I've tried is the AOSP by imilka, and I'm pleased with it.
GINGERBREAD. My own rom, I call it noob rom.
imilka aosp tablet mode v 6,my favourite rom!

Share it here with us so that we too can try it
Few users here were kind enough to guide me. May be I'll write a guide in general section.
There's nothing in my rom; just stock, deodex, pdroid and thunderbolt.
GB, Pure stock (Root+CWM), Latest
Midnote 1.6 with abyss kernel...love it.

Imilka's AOSP ROM. Why ? Because TouchWiz sucks. Stock ICS is what i was aiming for while getting my Note - and Imilka's ROM gives pure stock experience.

None, at least not using stock ICS's software.
Criskelo all the way it's knows for stability, great performance and really nice implemented themes. best for everyday use when we can't allow ourselves for freezes, reboots etc.
Rom is updated only when it makes sense, for example when new firmware brings some changes, some roms are updated just to show off, it can be tiresome for ppl that aren't flash addicts

Both work on imilka's AOSP v7.
LC1 deodexed & rooted. Have tried a few ICS roms but they aren't quite there yet imo.

I've been using MidTeam 1.0 there's no ICS kernel so far but i can say its a great rom and i'm testing ALBa's rom and is quite the same, quadrant gives pretty much same score, the difference could be the theme, MidTeam is more ICS and ALBa's more GB, both are ICS 4.0.3 both full TW working, S PEN and apps are working as they should be.
GB.cassys extra lite rom
ICS. Neobuddys stunner

Just trying out Stunner from Criskelo, love Criskelo's for stability. Stunner is stable so far with awesome customization. Just really miss s-memo, have the substitutes but if that could be added ( i know it cant) would be perfect
havent tried neither criskelo's nor stunner's which one is the one with amazing customizaions that you point out? Care to mention a couple of them?
Thanks buddy
What is this!?
This is a stock version of MotoBlur 6.16.206 -- setup as a flashable ROM for Safestrap (v2.00)
NOTE: I know this is for .206 and we're already looking at .208. I'll get it updated here in a bit. It took a while to set this first one up.
Why would you want this?
- Chances are you won't use this at all. This is mostly for devs who want to start modding the stock ROM.
- In theory, you can install just the ROM update via Safestrap as each ICS leak hits and not worry about flashing the full OTA. (This seems to be working for RAZR folks running the original .79 leak and newer versions of their MotoICS ROM via Safestrap). No guarantees that this will continue to be the case tho.
What do I need to have installed to run this?
- You must be on one of the MotoICS leaks for the Droid 4 (.200/.206/.208)
- Rooted
- Busybox (may need to use the busybox updater from the Market for one that is compatible w/ Safestrap, and correctly installed)
- Safestrap v2.00 for the ICS Leak
The only changes from stock are:
- I took the liberty of disabling "Qe" which logs all of the differences in the current OS compared to how it comes from Motorola. It's a lag monster on the bootup, and an invasion of privacy.
- Pre-rooted with su binary
- Updated busybox and symlinks in /system/xbin
- Configured for use w/ Safestrap
- Added Superuser.apk (2012-06-17)

Enjoy!
Hashcode - is the Motoblur ICS a leak of the actual official OTA or is it still just from the soak testing?
im currently using eclipse 1.3.8 and safestarp 1.9
while on eclipse (GB) can i uninstall 1.9, install 2.0, switch to safe mode and flash this?
without loosing my eclipse backup?
As Hashcode stated....
This is for those on the ICS leak. Not for stock Gingerbread, Not for Eclipse, Not for his other CM9/ICS builds or anything else.
This is for those on the ICS leak and want to be able to "play" with the stock ICS rom safely...on the safe system side. Primarily for ROM developers, Theme designers, etc....so that they don't have to worry about screwing up their currently flashed ICS leak running device.
Your base system is the stock recovery installed (an irreversible) leaked ICS ROM (.200 or .206 or .208). Using Safestrap 2.0 you can install additionally the stock (leaked) .206 ROM to play with, without affecting your "unsafe" ICS leak system.
thanks for the heads up!
Could kindly upload an image for .213? Im at 208 and update method seems vefy dangerous. Yours is safer
+1 for 213
Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk
Any news on .213? Just a question though, could I install this through recovery if I am currently on AOKP? I'm on the latest kernel (6.16.213).
Do we have an updated version of this with the .213 leak?
Agreed, I would like a 213 build for safestrap, but we are at the mercy of hashcode.

anybody please re-upload the 206 build for safestrap, thanks!
Hello,
Can somebody build a stock ROM which is deodexed and deknoxxed with the original bloat software. I am looking for something a stock ROM which has been been minimally modified for N910T model.
Thanks
