Hi guys,
I'm just wondering which rom has good performance for wcdma. I think almost roms in here are just working for 4g carrier, am I right?
If you know roms that working with wcdma carrier, please let me know. I'm using my droid4 with wcdma patched jinger bread at south korea.
Thank you.

Hi all, I haven't seen any discussions regarding the Telstra Aus version of the galaxy. It is the i9000T running on wcdma 850mhz. Can the normal galaxy s roms run on this? Will the 850mhz band disappear?

It works without any problem on my i9000T. 850mhz also works well.

are you sure?
try disabling the 1900 WCDMA band, and see if the 850 WCDMA works properly.
it *SHOULD work... I've tested myself some i9000 roms on my i9000t and they run pretty good and without any problem. But be careful, not all are fully functional.
here's the one I'm using right now http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843019 and its pretty fast...
EDIT: 850wcdma does work but you will find that on some roms there is a certain screen lag that makes it pretty much unusable...
Cheers!
3G work or not??
3G was a no go, since in my area there wasn't strong signal, but it works

the Canadian Virgin Mobiles uses 850/1900 just like Bell (since Virgin is owned by Bell in Canada)
They still have 900/2xxx functionality...

i9000m frequencies
850/900/1800/1900 - 2g gsm
850/1900/2100 - 3g+ wcdma
so as you see it will fully work there.
thanks guys..i appreciate it.
Does anyone know how to enable 3G I9000 for use with T-Mobile in USA???
You can't. It lack band 1700. You can only use it on Edge (2G)

Wrong... it lacks 850.... 1900 works fine though... better hope for that AT&T merger to go thru.... My i9000 does hspda without issue.

He asked for T-Mobile Usa which use AWS bands. Look at the op question first before answering something.

HELP ME?
So i just bought this GT-i9000 international GT-I9000GSMH flashed it with CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip. Ran servicemode *#*#197328640#*#*, enabled all bands, then installed Mintberry-2.3.17 through CMW, then i tried different modems KC1, JVU, JVP, JVQ, and the new nexus ones, kb3 kf1, NO LUCK with enabling 3G on my T-Mobile USA phone, can anyone help me, am i using the wrong rom? i like mintberry, any help greatly appriciated, ive been searching the forums with no avail, should i just stick with stock rom, maybe a stock+?
bump?
im going to REFLASH with stock JVU(HIEMEDALL), servicemode, then try gamerz rom according to his guide, and try servicemode again, i was hoping i would get more assistance....but xda is a busy forum
I keep getting really bad signal on my phone. 3g keeps dropping out then it goes to EDGE then that randomly drops out.
Any help would be much appreciated

I'm using nikhil's we want ics Rom. With the newest radio. Phone is about a year old. I'm in Australia on Telstra network and reception is terrible most of time. I have compared phone to stock ones and there seems to be something going wrong with mine as others get better service and stays in 3g.

You are on telstra with the incredible s.
The Inc S supports 3g frequencies of 900/2100mhz
Optus has these 3g frequences, which is why we dont have many problems
Telstra has mainly 3g 850mhz and some 2100mhz. Your phone can only get 2100mhz, that is why you have no 3g most of the time.

Basically you are using a optus optimised phone on the telstra network.

Is it possible to add support for other frequencies for better coverage?
Any radios or something?
