this is flashable zip file. so you need custom recovery like CWM.
and you'd better to backup your /system/app/PhaseBeam.apk because it looks like not working with some roms...

Nexus 4g here and it works fine.
I've downloaded the 3rd edition and extracted it and just pushed it right into system/app and it works fine
So I imagine that the flashable zip it is in should also work.

Not sure on the installation abort but you can push them to system/media and they work great

you can easily modify old version of phasebeam by just changing images..
download first version and edit png files in /res/drawable-nodpi/.

damn. im on an unrooted + stock phone. not that i dont want to root, but its just too much trouble to backup everything before the bootloader is unlocked. thanks anyway

Yeah I ended up finding it on my own shortly after I posted that, thanks anyways.
Oh and in case you don't want it to look all squished, resize it and drag it down one.

(resized by me) credit goes to anyone who extracted it from nexus 7, I sincerely don't remember who it was... sorry...
if you want to mirror this, remember to GIVE PROPER CREDIT!
It should work for every custom rom that have bootanimation in /system/media (lol is there a rom that have it somewhere else?)

That's strange, I'm on mebitek too, and zip worked... but I noticed that some zips randomly don't want to flash for the first time, second time always works

tried on stock roms, but didn't work out. boot animation just goes blank.

It was tested on emanon 7, and it worked... try extracting bootanimation.zip and put it manually

When doing it manually set permission as followed:

works on stock ron bro..tried on Emanon v6/7 and also on Andro-id v3.3.1

Just use root explorer or es file manager and put bootanimation.zip in /system/media and set permissions... and about screenshot, it works for me you can search youtube for nexus7 bootanimation

it's for hi dpi resolution otherwise hd version have no reason to be

Thanks for the contribution, will definitely try this. i'm not trying to be smart here but, isn't this supposed to be on the apps & themes section even though its a mod? Its a modded-app.

Just close normal version and other launcher and use it as default may be reboot after setting it as default...

Doesn't work properly on my Note. Icons overlap, screen is a total mess.No scroll on bar, virtually no settings available.

Seems to be based on CM7 (look at the screenshots).
I would love if you cant make this "port" using AOSP 2.3.7 by miroslav as base or at least make an update.zip to "apply"/install sounds, launcher, set permissions, etc.
I will try to add manually the SIII features (launcher, fonts, sounds, etc) to AOSP (to my current installed rom)

Or you can just look at the porting methods.. like diffing, adding missing lines to smalis.. etc. etc.. Youre gonna learn with trial-error(thats how I did)

Is like a direct port by changing few stuff around (Cooked Rom For Lunch)

Got the same black screen....pretty sure rom boots cuz i get crt off effect when i press power button but cant see anything

You have to flash gapps. It is in instructions btw

Yes but I'm asking where is the download for the gapps,I know it needs to be flashed but you have no download link for it?
So do we download gapps from the cm page to flash? Most developers have a link to download

I will give the link tomorrow. You can flash 4.1.2 or 4.2.1 gapps

Downloaded the rc2 zip and black screen still exist. Has anyone else flashed successfully? Want to give this rom a spin. Thanks!

still no booting with r2 ..black screen is there ...
