Here is some deodexed apps that I deodex myself, and you can install them to deodexed custom rom via flashable zips.
Maybe some of this is bloatware, and some Custom ROMs did not include this, so I make this flashable zips for the deodexed stock apps.
For those who don't know deodexed and odexed are, here's the theory:
WHAT IS AN ODEX FILE?
In Android file system, applications and framework files come in packages with the extension .apk or .jar. These APKs or JARs contain certain .odex files whose supposed function is to save space. These ‘odex’ files are actually collections of parts of an application that are optimized before booting. Doing so speeds up the boot process, as it preloads part of an application. On the other hand, it also makes hacking those applications difficult because a part of the coding has already been extracted to another location before execution.
THEN COMES DEODEX
Deodexing is basically repackaging of these APKs or JARs in a certain way, such that the .odex files are reassembled into classes.dex files directly integrated inside the APKs or JARs. By doing that, all pieces of an application package are put together back in one place.
For now, we need Baksmali.jar and Smali.jar to deodex, it seems these tools are not perfect and it seems to be why deodexed stock browser is laging/freezing.

CWM flashable zip file..
INSTRUCTIONS:
keep the "stock_ddlg1_6102.zip" file and CWM_6012.zip file in sdcard outside all folders (root of sdcard)..
Now go to stock recovery by doing this.. Restart your mobile by holding three buttons... Volume up+home button+power button.. Now when you see Samsung logo release the buttons.. After few seconds you will see 4 options written in red text.. Which is stock recovery (Android system recovery)...
Select 2nd option in there.. "apply update from sdcard"
Select "CWM-6102.zip" or "CWM-try1.zip" file whichever u have..
In CWM(clockworkmod) which is with yellow text..
Select "wipe data / reset" and then "wipe cache"..
select "install zip from sd"
Select "Choose zip from sdca" first option now..
Scroll down.. and select "stock_ddlg1_6102.zip" file..
Then select yes option.. then reboot...

Sorry for confusion.. but isn't swype.apk already deodexed? I didn't find odex file of swype in my cwm recovery of stock DDLG1

Here's my package containing all apps of XXLG3 Stock ROM (including bloatware).
What I did:
- extracted the content of /system/app from original XXLG3 ROM
- deodexed all apps using this guide: Manually Deodex and Odex back
- repacked all apps to reduce size from 119 MB to 69 MB
- repacked framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk
- zipaligned all apps
- created a CWM-flashable zip file (called zzapp.zip to have it at the bottom of the file list on sdcard) that replaces the whole content of /system/app and the two apk's in /system/framework
- tested with virgin XXLG3 ROM
I created button-scripts for my famous filemanager Directory Opus for deodex, repack and zipalign so it can be done with a single click for all apps.
Safe repacking can be done by simply opening the apk with 7-Zip, dragging resources.arsc out of the package and immediately dragging it back to the apk.
Attention: The Zip file I'm providing here deletes and replaces the whole content of /system/apps. It was created to be used immediately after flashing the Stock ROM with odin. You can delete all apps you regard as bloatware from the package.

I installed the SamsungWidgets.zip on my Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 according to your steps and rebooted, but the three widgets do not show up when trying to add them to the Home Screen.
The files are stored in /system/app and I changed the access rights via Root Explorer like for all other apks in this folder (+ rebooted).
I tried with Xperia + Holo Launcher, but no success .
Current ROM: TechnoDuos V1.5 BDSky 1525

Description of the method manual modification:

in brief:
The modification is to edit the kernel (changing only the 3 lines in init.rc located in boot.img, responsible for mounting the partition / system and / data) transfer of system files in the data section, and preserve the image of the resulting system.
As you know system partition is bigger than data, custom firmwares is small enough to move it to userdata partition so we can get 245 mb for userdata!
NOTE: With this method you can't install .ZIP from recovery so you need to install what is inside the .ZIP by following this TUTORIAL:

Installation
WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET BEFORE INSTALL ANY ROM!!! BUT NOT AFTER!!! INSTEAD, IN RECOVERY> MOUNT&STORAGE > FORMAT CACHE & FORMAT SYSTEM

- Unzip the folder.
- Copy bootd2s.img & system.img to C:\*SDK\tools folder
- Copy data.img &cache too to C:\*SDK\tools folder too if you made a backup in recovery of M5, to restore all your apps and settings.
- Get in fastboot mode | bootloader
- Open a terminal and type:

- Unzip the folder.
- Plug, mount your PHONE and put the folder into SDCARD/clockworkmod/backup
- Unmount, unplug your PHONE and reboot it into recovery.
- After that, go to “backup and restore / restore / select your copied backup file”
- Factoryreset as i explain below, then select “reboot system now”

Even so if the in the process become necessary, do a factoryreset ONLY in this way:

FIX FOR 2.1 20E FINAL: FC'S IN SOME GAMES AND APPS
*First you need to make room for the fix..
- Open RootExplorer and go to /system/sounds | press button r/w (r/w | r/o)
- remove all the files EXCEPT PowerOn.mp3
*Now you ready for the fix
- Download com.google.android.maps.jar
- copy it to /sdcard
- In RootExplorer, find the file, copy it and paste it in /system/framework
- change permissions to rw-r--r--
- Reboot or Shutdown/start phone again
In some firmware I cleaned up a little system, removing the "on your taste" some applications. They are not critical for the system - this is done primarily in order to fit the system into the data section.
I'll give it a try, when you have Swiftdroid 1.9 ready. You are going to modify that version, too, aren't you?

yes but is has been told that 1.9 is not stable and still has some bugs some the most stable for now is 1.8 also this modified version has some fixes so yes you should give it a try, im using it and i dont complain

about sd-ext im not sure as i dont use it but with 250mb for app really i dont think is needed apps2sd its working and about swap it works 'cause im using a swap partition of 32 mb plus swapper2 app

Hi.. I just want to share some of my experience using this mod.
When I install zip file from recovery (for example) zdunex's honeycomb_addon which contains boot animation n font with this v1.8 data2system, there's nothing happen. I realize that I need to alter the zip file, but don't know what to alter. LOL. Then Mr Mur4ik v1.9 came out, and honeycomb_addon works perfectly.
Maybe some1 has any ideas bout what to do with that zip file so it can work property in this mod.

Yeah i know you cant install update.zip with this version i forgot to put that here but is easy to set up ill post how-to soon. what i do is install the .apk for theme chooser then you pick it from there.
By the way how is 1.9 going for you, is it stable what bugs have you found so far?. would like to know to see if it is really worth modify that version with data2system method.

Yeah i know you cant install update.zip with this version i forgot to put that here but is easy to set up ill post how-to soon. what i do is install the .apk for theme chooser then you pick it from there.
By the way how is 1.9 going for you, is it stable what bugs have you found so far?. would like to know to see if it is really worth modify that version with data2system method.

I don't think u can change boot animation nor font with theme chooser.
For v1.9 it's really great. Need to do some modification first though. Uninstall swapper, qq player, autostart. Apply swap using adb command, set auto killer to moderate. N it works good.

font i apply with font changer and boot animation just replace with root explorer set permissions, then reboot is not difficult to make, personally i like the stock boot animation so. Im very happy using spb shell smooth i dont have any problem with it i have all the apps i want without send them to sdcard , i also have swap partition , cant ask for more. Once there rest of the other funtions works in our phone i will upgrade, but until them im stock with this ROM.

Battery i guess same as 1.8 ans as i use spb shell consumes even more but i dont mine i always have a charger even in my car.

As it seems the file is somehow corrupted I at least hope the system.img can be pulled from it, then it's no biggie to make a CWM-flashable version. We'll see in about 50mb..

Sure, just need to figure out how to flash the new radio from within the zips updater-script
Looking for a way to insert new lines in the default SMS application (through the stock keyboard), I've modified the Mms.apk to enable inserting new lines (Enter key) in an SMS.
Instructions:
1. Backup your current Mms.apk before using this one.
2. Rename the dowloaded apk file (from the link below) to Mms.apk.
3. Using Root Explorer (or any file manager of your preference) copy file to /system/app.
4. Set proper permissions (rw-r--r-- or 644).
5. Set File ownership to root:root.
6. Hit the Thanks button if you liked this one.

1. Missing Messaging icon in launcher:
- Verify that Mms.apk has proper permissions and ownership. (See Instructions)
- Reboot device.
2. Force closing when opening message threads:
- Are you running a non-vanilla ROM? (ie. TouchWiz ROMs)
- Samsung has a database issue with the vanilla version of the Mms.apk. You can try using this patched apk: MmsTW.patched.apk
Note: The above apk (MmsTW.patched.apk) is a patched version of the apk from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.concentriclivers.mms.com.android.mms to support entering new lines. The base apk's credit goes to the original author. Features don't include features from the CM9 apk (ie. Emoji support, gestures, etc).

CM7 modifications were taken from: http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=2898
ICS modifications required the same patch and additional smali edits to bypass the Send on Enter check done in CM7.
Tested using i9023 on respective CM7 and ICS, CM9 KANG Builds. (APK should be fine on GSM versions of the Nexus S)
Reported not applicable to Nexus S 4G phones. (by blacknet101)
Let me know if this works for you or not (Please indicate your current ROM and phone model: i.e. i9020, i9023, etc.)

Nope. The smiley button would still be there.
It worked i flashed it but my messaging icon dissapeard but when i went into my email account just to check if it worked it did, but i dont why messaging icon dissapeared after i installed this

aw.. sorry man, updated the 1st post from your feedback. Do you still have the ROM's .zip file on your phone? Try extracting the Mms.apk from there. Don't have a copy of AOKP here.

Well guys since everyone wants to ICS.
After solving all the problems (I think) with the rom Base,to make it functional on a daily basis, was surprised to see that now it works great.
This is the very first BETA, but so far I have found no errors .
I hope you like it because it cost me a lot of work to be 100% as I wanted.
Note:
To install this rom is absolutely necessary to do a clean install by first installing the base

Additional Flashing instructions + Bugs/Wish Lists
Flashing Instructions - Coming from Any Rooted ROMVideo with with instructions at the end ( thanks to ashwin123)
Download and copy to SD Card (either internal or external) all the necessary files (CF ICS Repack, Criskelo ROM. Optional: 15 Toogles & Google-Apps). Download links are in the first post.
1) ICS Repack is usually packaged within a zip file. Extract it (you should have a .tar file on your sd card). Using MOBILE Odin Flash CF ICS Repack (the tar file). Once the flashing process completes, the note will reboot into recovery, stay there, don't reboot yet.
2) Apply a full wipe: Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" and Yes to confirm.
Now select "Wipe Cache" and select Yes.
Go to Advanced > Wipe dalvik cahe > Yes.
Select Back to go back to main menu.
3) Flash CriskeloRomNOTE ICS
Select "Install zip from SD Card" > "Choose zip from SD Card" > Choose the desired file and proceed with installation.
4) Repeat Step 2.
5) Reboot. You should be on latest Criskelo ICS.
OPTIONAL
6) Reboot into CWM recovery (Volume UP + Home + Power) & Flash 15 Toggles.
Reboot
7) Reboot into recovery and flash GAPPS
Important: Instructions above ALSO for those coming from other ICS builds with or without the same base!

Calendar 4.0.3 missing - Calendar is back on Beta 3 but i dont know if all funcionality is there...the one from Gapps, afaik, is the same ..
Face Unlocker FC - Install GAPPS
Network Location settings missing - SCREENSHOT
Photo Editor missing - causes Gallery to FC when trying to edit selected image for instance
Having Settings->Display->Display Battery Checked does not display battery % - Partially Solved on Beta 3 + 15 Toggles - Will always show battery percentage regardless of the selection of that menu.
S-Memo FC when deleting a saved memo
Wifi stability issues - Some report WIFI taking too long to turn-on, others after toggling WIFI on and off a couple of times can't turn WIFI on unless rebooted ( these is NOT confirmed by many users )
Sometimes Notification sounds get muted (not confirmed as above)
Full charge notification does not show up
Incoming numbers not being recognized, some chinese text is shown instead - me, myself and I cannot reproduce this issue but it happens with some formats in some countries according to various reports

Btw very good ics rom mister.Except some very few f/c in some apps, nothing big bugs.

Please make sure backup your data before!!!
- [ Install [Deodex, zipaligned] app and framework]
0. In The phone , System Setting>Developer options>select checkbox USB debugging
1. Connect the phone to computer with connection type Media sync
2. Extract appFramework_v10f.zip to your computer. (example E:\appFramework_v10f)
3. Copy app/framework from appFramework_v10f folder to sdcard (Internal sdcard) [DON'T FORGET!!!]
/sdcard/app
/sdcard/framework
4. Extract : adb_v1.1.zip (for V1.1 ) (example E:\adb_v1.1)
adb_deodex_remove_app_v2.zip (for V2) (example E:\adb_deodex_remove_app_v2)
5. Goto command prompt windows and use command "deodex.bat"
E:\adb_v1.1>deodex.bat (for V1.1 )
E:\adb_deodex_remove_app_v2>deodex.bat (for V2 )
6. The phone will be reboot when finish

ok, it works fine here, but i deodex't it differently, so maybe some of your files are compressed, which lgeime reference.
i got a 100% build here, but i am aiming at a tabletui based setup, which for now is not really good, since launcher and other parts are phoneui based.
but i guess then you need to disable compression on LGSettings.apk, LocMgr*, networklocation files, i believe i only disabled compression on those..

some widgets are integrated into the framework+lg launcher just like Sense4 widgets are for HTC sense only and not shown in other launchers. so they need porting to work outside lg launcher environment.

It takes little long but you ll wait at optimizing applications screen but not boot logo. Were you on 10F before you started deodex?
