place this in ur system/app using root explorer (remove ur old gallery from there or make a backup of it).. set permissions.. reboot ur phone n enjoy...................... :good:

First time you have to wait a little, but every pic you have seen once, will be there instantly next time you start the app

Hello,
This is my first contribution here :fingers-crossed:
Direct access to Phone, SMS, MIUI Notes, Sound Recorder, Camera, ICS Gallery, Calender and Home screen of course
Lockscreen originally from ColorMix theme.. I don't know the Chinese designer's name.. But, credits go to him anyway
I modified the lockscreen to work on my rom (Arconium MIUI 2.511):
- removed the link to Chinese Microblogging app
- fixed link to open ICS gallery instead of MIUI gallery
- changed date format in calender tab
- removed lunar calender from calender tab
- moved date, date and day from top right corner to lower right corner for more space up
- new graphics.. black and white only
double tap on the bottom to open music player, controls show on top left (no album art)
download and install Genie Weather Widget to see the weather updates on lockscreen (in attachments)
ps: I've modified this for my self.. so bare in mind the screen resolution is my Arc S resolution (485×820)
credit to chrisbanks2 from DeviantArt for graphics

Thanks I love it. Only thing is it has a celcius sign when it is a Fahrenheit temp.

You can change that in Genie Weather app. I use metric (so celsius) since I'm in Europe
Away from that, I'm glad you like it.. Though I didn't take in my consideration the on screen buttons / mod

Well, I think the tricky part for me was getting the ADB DRIVERS installed fully/correctly. Install the drivers from any resource that you meet so from Flashtool, Fastboot and USB Drivers.. Just install them all!
Then you need to flash the stock .562 kernel... somehow its easier to root your Arc S with it, and don't worry once you're rooted you can revert to .587
Then use the rooting tool and it should work. Just get the ADB Drivers installed from various sources and flash .562 kernel
Or otherwise, you still can unlock your bootloader and get it locked again

I think you should have posted this in the Themes & Apps section..anyways, you can ask the Mod to move this to right section..you may get a faster response !

If its not there for ics, download the one for JB, decompile the systemui and check what line is added for that mod and what extra icons are used. I think it's in the layout folder.
Add those to your ics and recompile.

Where's the Home button in the Notifications??
All I see is the Settings, Recents, and Screen Timeout which might be the Power button.
PS Why not on-screen navigation buttons from aosp??
I dont like on screen buttons and if you can take a lookon d pic i have provided, then you will see a home button there...it is basically from darboc and for jb only

I have recently downloaded facebook home to my desire c and I want to share this with you
And started this thread because that the facebook home doesn't support too many devices till now but there is a way to install it on any device
Instructions
1.unzip the file
2.install com.facebook.katana.apk on your device
3.install com.facebook.home.apk on your device
4.open facebook from your mobile
5.go to account > app settings > enable facebook home
And finally set it as your home (you can change this later )
Hope you enjoy

My current ROM (CyanogenMOD 7.2) came with QuickPic replacing the stock gallery, as many ROMs do. However either I don't know how to use it, or the app is crap, because everytime I try to apply an image as wallpaper using QuickPic, it comes too stretched, even if the image is the exact resolution of the Ace (320x480). Can someone tell me another gallery that behaves like stock? Or if I can get the stock one again?

If you want the cm-gallery back download the official cm7.2 and extract the app from it and paste it in system/app/(here) and give it tge permission rwrr
I personally never had problems with quickpic..are you using the latest version?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
In my opinion Quickpic is the best gallery app I have ever used.. But still if you're having problems do what Blackbox421 has suggested..
Try using Gallery ICS app..
If you already have the wallpaper that's resized for your ace, cropping it would only make it look worse. Drag n adjust the box that appears on the image when you choose to set a wallpaper & see to it that it covers the entire image. Now set the wallpaper.
Quickpic is the ultimate app. You do not know how to use it.

Also you can try wallpaper changer by j4velin.
