I'm using nightly builds of CM10 with Nova Launcher Prime (mainly to hide app drawer icons that i don't use...I wish trebuchet would add that feature in already =/). I've gotten a little tired of the standard ICS/JB dock icons. When I press/hold on the icon it gives me the option to edit, and change icon, so I select one from an icon pack I have downloaded but they never apply properly.
Has anyone had any luck changing their dock icons?

Hello, I've been working on a Tron Legacy styled theme for my for for some time now. I am using Go Launcher Ex. I have most of it set as I'd like it, but I am working on one last thing for the time being. I am using Widgetlocker for my lock screen and would like to use Desktop Visualizer to add to it icon widgets in the following style: https://market.android.com/details?...sMSwxLDEsIm14LmxwaWNvbnBhY2sudHJvbmxlZ2FjeSJd
Unfortunately, this icon pack does not seem to work with Desktop Visualizer and the icons that come with the Go Launcher version of these icons do not work with DVR either.
What I am asking is if anyone knows of an Icon pack in this visual style that would match this style/color? If not would anyone be willing to create an icon pack that matches this, that would work with DVR? I would be more than willing to even pay for an icon pack in this style that would work with DVR.
Thanks for any info provided.
So, I've got a desktop full of images that I use as icons through the use of Desktop Visualizer. My whole screen (apart from dock) is filled with these images and I kind of wanted to get rid of the dock and replace it with one of these icons.
I found a solution to making the dock disappear through the use of ADW Launcher which allows you to hide the dock. It's not ideal since I would've preferred to use Nova Launcher (I'm on CM9 and I love Nova Launcher) but it has no option to hide/disable the dock (in fact, ADW Launcher is the only launcher that I've found with this option).
Anyway, now that the dock is gone, I can use it for widgets (which is basically how Desktop Visualizer works) however Desktop Visualizer does not allow you map "App Drawer" as an action. So basically all this effort has been for nothing unless I can find a way to map the icon to App Drawer.
Another thing I considered was a launcher/dock that allowed you to use custom sized icons for actions (most launchers only allow you select a certain sized icon to replace the default) but I couldn't find anything.
I've tried to search both XDA and Google but couldn't find anything useful.
TL;DR - Need Desktop Visualizer alternative or a way to map one of the widgets to act as app drawer icon.
Thanks in advance.
I need help with this too. Any ideas?
The only way I managed to do this in the past was to use a normal icon and the widget, and overlap them. (In ADW settings there is the option to allow overlapping.)
First insert the app drawer icon (Press hold > launcher actions > Open/Close app Drawer)
Insert your Desktop Visualizer widget, select the icon image, and set the action to none. Then press and hold on it, and using the re-size arrows drag it under the app drawer icon.
Finally press and hold on the app drawer icon, and change the icon to a transparent (empty) image.
You have to insert the app drawer icon first, as that makes it on top.
Its a pretty crude way of doing it, but I don't think there is another way, although I would happily be corrected if there is!
Or you could possibly just put the icon on your wallpaper then use a transparent icon.
In that way, you could have many possibilities in theming your desktop.
I'm currently on a CM10.2 rom, mainly because I came across a particular theme I really liked.
I would like to be able to have a semi-transparent notifications bar, as well as be able to individually customize my icons.
The rom I am using gives me the ability to have the semi-transparent bar, but not individually customize my icons. Apparently I need an icon pack?
Thus, in order to individually assign icons, I need a third party launcher, in this case Apex. However, using Apex negates my semi-transparent bar. In the past, I've noticed Apex has a setting called "use transparent bar" or something of that sort.
So, is there a way I can achieve these two things, semi-transparent bar and custom icons on CM10.2?
i want to use belle icon pack with my default launcher, but it didin't work.
is it possible to use them by getting it's icon pics from it's directory and moving it to the phone's icon folder?
Look into an app called "Unicon" or an app that themes your icons with launchers that don't support themes. I know there's a plethora of them, I just can't name them off the top of my head
hi, know one can change homescreen and dock icons with Nova etc. but how does one change the shape of the settings icons (currently rounded squares) in EMUI 9.1 I like the round (Pixel like) icons on my homescreen and app drawer (with nova) but want the settings icons also to be round... any way to achieve this? thanks
any bright ideas?
With emui? I think there's a mod app for it, personally don't use emui launcher as I hate the pull down shortcut gesture.
Plus the having all apps on screen is not pretty..
You could also check out the additional themes app from the play store which has a lot more themes which affect the icons and may also have the ability to alter this too.
Theme manager

Theme editor

Hope this helps.
Thanks, am on EMUI 9.1, I'm using Nova and have changed the homescreen and app drawer icons, but wanted to change the settings icons to, but with themes etc they only change the homescreen and app drawer icons.
They are supposed to be round in EMUI 10, so now you just need to wait 3-4 month until it's released...
Thanks

Click to collapse
Oh the settings screen, I'm with you.
You can change colour with a lot of the themes but not the shape AFAIK
