Tiramislim v 2.0 - 4.0.4 final with devil kernel !! fast stable and very customise battery life is very good!
link for this rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1664049
sorry for bad english

Most stable 4.0.4 ROMs -> CM9 Stable (or Nightly), SlimICS, TiramiSlim, AOKP, RemICS, most stable JB -> I think it could be CM10....

My vote goes to SlimJB 2.1. Upgraded from SlimICS, and it's consistently fast and stable.

Slim JB for me but there are to many of these threads asking the same question

I've tried them both and even though Slim has some nice features I'd go with cm9 nightlies because it's an easier to use software straight out of the box in my opinion. And right now they're updating them every couple days that I found stability to be fantastic already, not to mention the great battery life.
Yeah i thing slim 3.3 is goox too but there to many ICS roms.

On my personal experience, where in i have used Teamhacksung, CM9, Onecosmics and now iam on Elite ICS 10.1.
The best is Elite "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1575683"
with Midnight Hugemem kernel (BM Kernel MNICS-143LR),
which is provided with the rom in the "Actualizador" app the ROM provides,
plus flash this script "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24723427&postcount=513" for getting the 720p recording to work.
Trust me, really good combination of ROM and Kernel, Very smooth and stable.
And About Slim, it lacks many things, which if u used any other ICS rom yu would know, and CM( is very unstable as for now, but sometime later is gonna be the best one for sure.
Try AOKP official. It's nice.

Yes aokp official best one.

Known bugs in ics333
1-Camera FC when restoring default settings
2- Phone app FC if Bluetooth is disconnected while the phone is trying to connect to a Bluetooth headset
so cm9 is still better than ics333 with same huge ram if you changed the kernel from stock to semaphore 1.2.2s as i did 387 mb ram
so choose from those two amazing ICS ROMS for gs gt-I9000
Well it's not FC in camera it calls restart man....... any way.....

Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
best ROM for until now is Slim ICS, but i wanna try RemICS too
Well to be presise there is no best ROM on any device. You need to chose the one that will suit you the best.
For me it's:
[ROM][4.0.4] RemICS v1.2 (Team Remics) [17.06.2012]
and Kernel.
[KERNEL] Semaphore ICS 1.2.2 (1.2.4)
Work's best for me
I'm using aokp build 39 and it runs great!
But like others have said it depends in what you want.
Download goo.im from the app store to see a list.
Good luck

I think the best rom (ICS) is the RemICS UX
hey if u you want the best, smooth and no bug rom..then u should go for remics v1.2..its the best rom that i have tried so far..trust me its amazing

Remics' is the fastest and most stable ROM I've tried to date
The dev team have done a good job on that one
I'm on ics CNA rc2.0 by franzyroy since 2 months and i don't have bugs.the ROM is very smooth,no lags, no FC, good battery life
Best ROM
For me, TiramiSlim has always been a favorite. The FINAL version is out and am on it, has good battery life and no FCs in 2 days.
Elite ROMs are also really great.
remICS v1.2
RemICS !!!!
Elite Gnex 1.4.1!!! Grate. fast and smooth.
RemICS 1.2
Bro ! After trying so many roms I have finally found a good one.

F4k's Linaro v4 is stable, blazing fast and has great battery life.
At the moment there are plenty of awesome ICS ROMs who are almost bug- and lag-free.
If you're looking for a ROM with experience, try CM9. AOKP allows a little more customization; Gummy is pretty recent, but has also some fancy exclusive tweaks (SMS Popup on Lockscreen...).
Theme Chooser works on all three, so do almost all flashing addons.
I'm on ICS333 and it seems to work just fine, stable, and not many bugs. Try it.
CM9

ICS333 extreme :good: Haven`t had a single problem with it
Slim ICS 4.2, no bugs, no lags.
I have the same question (but for slightly different uses).
I need a fast and stable ICS ROM for mz gf's phone. The thing is it needs to be as stable and bug-free as possible, I am less interested in advance features or tweaks or oc-ing etc. Stability is key.
She has had a lot of problems on other firmware, first on the stock gb, then on DarkyROM gb, then on stock Value Pack ROM with semaphore kernel, laginess, random restarts, losing 3g connection etc.
She will be going awa for a few months for an internship and she knows nothing about flashing ROMS and I won't be with her to help. So the key for me is that the ROM requieres as little maintanence as possible.
Thanks for any advice guys
Hey i have installed tiramislim v2 and trust me it is fast, smooth and stable with no bugs..go for it your gf won't be having any problem with this rom

A lot of the roms are pretty similar (AOSP based) and tend to be really stable, the more features a rom adds the more likely there are to be bugs introduced.

Yeah, I figured, thats why I want only something which is basic ics, fast, stable and minimum bugs, dont need many extra/advanced features.
ICS333 is very good, tiramislim 2.0 is equally good but more costumizable without downsides...with semaphore or devil 3 latest kernels.
I think the AOKP milestone 6 is bug.free, snappy and has a great baterry life. Maybe you flash a custom kernel, i often use midnight-ics. for linaro supporting roms, semaphore also works good

I would reccomend both AOKP and TiramiSLIM.
Both are fantastic roms and I won't be switching again until a stable 4.1 rom comes out.
remics_ux_v1.3
remics_ux_v1.3 is also very nice~
Thanks for your answers guys, I think I will try out tiramislim, that looks quite nice
Yup go for tiramislim v2 its the best rom..

if you want a more pure google experience id go with elite or cm9.
If you want a samsung experience I would go with remics
If you just want speed and don't care really about anything else like language support or a good base launcher, go with slim

Best JB ROM for me?

Hi, I've hhad Galaxy S for a while now, and right now I'm using CM10. I hate rolling back to Ice because I love JB but CM10 is a real battery hog. I was wondering what JB ROM you would recommend? I don't need too many custom features, mainly drawer toggles and if possible, overclocking (I really loved Devil kernel but the JB version doesn't flash for me).
Thanks in advance!

Stability wise, they're all reliable (unless they specifically say they are unstable).
Speed wise even CM10 is perfectly usable for me.. the more lightweight ROMs may be faster, but I prefer the features to a fraction of extra speed.
Definitely a Jelly Bean rom is your choice. Like already said, all of them (if listed here on XDA) are good for everyday use unless stated otherwise in the OP.
Which JB one? That is your job through trial and error. Because what's best for me, is not necessarily the ideal one for you.
Would you also recommend SlimBean already? I'm still on SlimICS, which is a really good rom for me...

But what if everyone provided a benchmark score (eg AnTutu) when they report about the speed and stability of which ROM they are using. Then we could all make a direct comparison and find out which ROM really is the fastest. (As for stability, that is more subjective.)

I'm on SlimBean but I wish I'd stayed on SlimICS.
I got 2 days of battery on ICS but now it's struggling to get half a day.
I wonder if they archived SlimICS anywhere, I'd like to reflash it
Actually I don't find the stability of any JB rom to be as good as GB's one. You might be interested in trying GamerzRom v9 (GB 2.3.6). I think it's THE cleanest rom ever made for this phone.
Anyway, at the moment I'm using CyanAOSP v0.52 which is pretty stable(not much rubbish installed), lightning fast(with recommended settings) and has a great battery life.
