Hi All.
I dropped Clockwork on My Streak so that I could Root it and Disable the 3G Service.
It then Downloaded the package LG7-820W_513_20588_00 and tried to install it.
On reboot it returned the Following.

I take it I have to return to the default recovery PROM?
So the question…
How?
Do I just download the recovery.img from the Wiki here, install that in the same way as I installed clockwork and then apply the patch?
Or Do I do that and download the LG7-820W_514_21700_00.pkg as well and apply that?
If I do So will it just update my system or reimage it needing all of the software and settings re-applied?
Yes download the stock recovery and flash it in fastboot. Also you could try flashing an older cmw like 5..... All may not be lost. Just retrace your tracks
See if you can boot into your Rom before you flash New roms

One more thing any .pkg files should be flashed in stock recovery not cmw of twtr .

O.K. Got the LG7-820W_514_21700_00.pkg and associated recovery.img in place, and it is saying it will erase the data if I apply it, This seems strange as I am emulating the automatic update aren’t I?
If you have the stock recovery installed , put the rom on the root of your internal sdcard. Then go into recovery and I believe it is option2

You can't flash .pkg files from CWR, it only does zip files.

It is possible that there is already in P970_GB_234_V20N_lite?
or was a freak of CWM as I had it ready to be installed in SD?

First of all, Make sure your phone is rooted, and has CWM Recovery. (If not, find the instructions here)
Download it, boot into CWM Recovery, click on Install zip from SDCARD, then reboot, and the phone will boot on the boot animation you downloaded.
works perfectly! thanks!
what this means ? This is what i got after flashing a Gb rom through ODIN

Sorry fella i have no real clue this is my first post and i am a total noob... Still laughing from the video before registering. But heres my totally uninformed first thought, could it be that it needs to have writable sd partition, hopefully someone substantially more informed will help you out soon. I just thought id post because i noticed no one else had and youd only had one view. Lol Ive a bit of an issue myself but im a little afraid to post after the vid, even though iv'e been scouring internet for days with no answers! Lol good luck bud hope it all works out
Have you rooted your phone before flashing? Also, have you tried to do the wipes on the recovery?
Not sure if any of those will fix it for you, but eh, it's better than nothing
Is the romantic on the phone partition or on a external sd card, and have you set the install location to the correct partition

I didn't have this problem on stock 4.3, but since I unlock my bootloader and now using Doomlord's Advance Stock kernel, reflash my ROM, RAM keeps building up after sometimes of using the phone, play some games.
Is it a kernel problem or somethings else?
This is what I got when trying to take a screenshot, it was about 5.4Mb free right before (I did clear all apps running in the recent task)

soryy wrong forum.
but still happy for help.
That is your stock recovery. Your best bet is to flash the CWM recovery from your computer using fastboot that comes with Android SDK. Sometimes the stock recovery will overwrite CWM unluss you tell CWM to "FIX" when you exit. Its really easy once you have the SDK installed.
GET THE ANDROID SDK
The cyanogenmod install wiki has a quick guide for installing CWM using this method. cyanogenmod install wiki LINK (start at "Installing recovery using fastboot") I have flashed many recovery's using this method so PM me or just reply here and I will get back to you.
It looks like the stock recovery is replacing the custom recovery when booting.
Make sure your phone is rooted, rename the stock recovery file by adding .bak to the end of the file name, re-flash recovery, and boot into recovery.
the reason i want to upgrade is because i can't do wi-fi tethering at 4.4.2
and the camera app crash everytime , and i need to restart everytime to fix it
this is the info of my phone (unrooted)
i was read a lot of things here but can't get final decision ...
thanks

thanks
but it just more confuse me...
many talks about soft bricks
and 4.4.4
no talking about 4.4.2 that this is my situation now
You would have to flash all the files in succession. Download a file, rename to update.zip, place on phone sd card, flash via recovery. Download the next and repeat the steps. They must be flashed in a certain order though.
