Hey so after i fixed my bricked o2x by nvflashing the 10b rom, I flashed a custom rom and tried others but it seems i get no network now. does anyone know whats wrong?
Have you tried other basebands? With stock v10b was network ok? Have you tried other operator's sim cards?
Inviato dal mio Smartpad810c usando Tapatalk
there was no signal on the 10b rom and no i havent tried to flash basebands if you could direct me to a thread on that, i would appreciated. another thing i noticed and shat brix is that i realized i was supposed to flash g2x rom because wind 02x is p999!!!!! what do i do now????
Full wipe, and try to flash a G2X rom. Maybe that will work.
Go in p999 threads and nvflash a stock ROM for your phone.
it happened to me too once. it would not get any signal. tried different sims too but to no avail.
i resolved it flashing a cm7 based rom. was on BB 725 v20
from what i saw these v20 BB are a bit troublesome. better use a v10 based
I have a 0622 baseband and my phone is from Korea, but i live in Brazil, and i'd like to know if i need to change the baseband because im having some issues with my phone network, like sometimes the phone loses the signal and then it nevers come back and when i go to settings/wireless&networks/mobile/set network
it still lists the operators signal.
And if wanted a factory reset for my phone, how should i do it? Is there anyway to check the original baseband of my phone?
I'm using CM 7.2 with the latest etana kernel.
You can simply install the lastest brazilian LG's FW with its baseband using Smartflash or KDZ You can download all you need in the development section

there are a few things to check before you do anything/flashing:
1) try to check a suitable RIL...use GetRIL app or LG RIL Version app from the play store
2)I remember seeing something about the auto time selection in Temasek's Kang thread...try disabling the automatic time sync.maybe that is a solution.
3)tr changing to Temasek's Kang which is surely one among the best ROMs for O2X. HE ROCKS with his tweaks and cherry picks.
4)try using SU-660 Basebands....some of the devices dont respond well with normal BB.check tonyp's thread for a suitable BB and RIL combo.
going through a NVflash or kdz methods might be reserved for the last.
This is my opinion. but, take ur decision mate
Hope this helps

There is no BB/RIL combination at the moment that works with build version #5. All BBs show the same pincode error. Use build #4, that's working really well. Or have a look at a different ROM like Owain's.

Being that you're outside the US, you need to check the model number on the sticker behind the battery. It's likely that you have a true LG-P920 (Optimus 3D) not the LG-P925 (North American Thrill 4G) and would likely be better served asking this question in the Optimus 3D forums. Restoring the stock ROM after flashing a new stock ROM (like v21e) and then restoring your original stock rom (I'm guessing a v20-something) will cause these issues. Restoring a backup does NOT flash the baseband. Flash the ORIGINAL stock version to get the ORIGINAL baseband back, THEN perform a nandroid restore.
Hello

The basebands extracted from the su600(or is 660) are by respected developers to give better soundquality by removing noise in the background. You'd have to flash it then....

It seems to me that the most common problem people are reporting with CM10 is related to the network, caused by the new RIL in the ROM. For those of us who actually use our phones as phones, this is not good! Also, any attempts to change the RIL via the GetRIL app, regardless of network or region, seem to cause a complete network loss.
So I thought I'd start a thread to consolidate everyone's accounts of their network experience with the new CM10 nightlies. Please post your region, carrier, and baseband, as well as a brief summary of any problems you have (if any). Getting all this info together in one clean list would be very helpful in assisting RC when he debugs.
I'll start here.
Region: Ontario, Canada
Carrier: Fido (subsidiary of Rogers Wireless)
Baseband: V21b (stock Fido baseband, never changed)
Problems: Signal bars fluctuate rapidly compared to CM7, on 3G. EDGE is less of a problem. Call quality is not affected so far. Able to make and receive calls and SMS.
Edit: Unsure if this is baseband/RIL related, but when I am calling through my in-car bluetooth handsfree, the bluetooth tends to disconnect itself and cut off my call.
Edit: List of basebands can be found on Tonyp's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658047
The same thread shows instructions on how to flash new basebands, along with download links.
I have also added a poll. Users can select multiple options if they find more than one baseband works.
Edit: OMFG, I forgot to add the V30 SU660 option in the poll and I can't figure out how to edit the poll... can a mod help me out?

I've installed the BB From TonyP Thread >http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658047 Named 0420-V20m_SU660-Baseband
After, i've full-wipe and install the last nighlty with gapps.
Now, Date Hours is OK, battery look good.
ps: I don't know how to do a "strike" ------ but battery drain with that
What's the matching BB to the RIL that comes with CM10? I'd rather go that way than changing the RIL...
EDIT: Forget it, already checked the baseband thread in development, gonna flash the matching BB now

Just use the 218 BB and stop worrying about ril.

I flashed many roms (stock Froyo/GB, CM, MIUI) using every time the updated baseband for Italy and I always forgot about ril and everything was fine; only once, following all the technical suggestions, I used getril to match bb/ril and had bootloop.
Now I have 20S bb and flashed CM10 nightly: wifi, phone voice/data and gps work fine.
EDIT: suggestion, download the bb of your country and forget ril
Well, two very different opinions... which of them is right? Baseband flash ou RIL?

I had 725 BB in the beginning... which was ok... then I flashed the most recent BB (non SU660) and I was very happy with it, better battery, better reception stability... so for me, the more recent the better, that's why I'll start by trying flashing the most recent BB instead of going back in RIL.
EDIT: Even if it's the toughest way to start!
I previously had the stock V20S (flashed the KDZ). With V20S BB, no problems with JB. No call issues, SMS issues, nothing. Stable signal. Local operator: Claro.
I have a very strange bug...I knew when I was in the unofficial builds that I had 0725 V10d BB, now the system shows that o have LGP990AT-00-V20Q-262-XX-JAN-24-2012+0...is it a bug or something? I recall that ROMs don't change basebands...Is anyone else having this bug?(I have wiped everything and I had also installed the new nightly and nothing changed)

Your system says that you have 20Q bb and the system doesn't lie.
BTW, do you have some connection problems with CM10 or is it just a cultural problem?

Well I want to know why did cwm flash change my BB?..also I have worse signal then before and I have a bad download speed through 3g..and I dont know if BB is the problem here but I also have some problems in call sometimes(the one to whom I'm talking isn't hearing me)

I also have the same BB from V20s. Here are the issues that I saw in CM10, without changing RIL:
1. My phone number is shown as Unknown (in "About Phone").
2. Unable to see any contacts on my SIM card.
3. Unable to read a carrier's voicemail setup from my SIM card (need to configure access number manually).
4. Auto time is way off (need to set the time manually).
No problems with the actual functionality (signal strength, call audio quality, SMS, USSD codes). My location is Canada, Pacific time zone.

Flashing CM10 from CWM definitely didn't change your BB. Something else must have been done on your phone...

It has to be the RIL. Basebands are not affected by flashing the ROM, except for maybe the stock ROM. But custom ROMs like CM don't do anything to the baseband at all.
E.g. I've flashed CM7.1, CM7.2, and CM10 on my phone and the baseband has remained exactly the same as it was on stock froyo.
Region: Kerala, India
Carrier: BSNL
Baseband: v20i
Problems: unable to hear calls. everything else is fine it think
I can confirm that all issues with 0521 BB (no audio in call, bad time, etc) are solved with 0420 BB and default CM10 RIL.
Carrier: Orange
Region: Spain
Baseband: 0521 (v20s)
Problems: No audio in calls, bad time zone, random data drops...
Everything solved changing BB to 0420 SU660.
After install CM10 i lost the signal and battery status, please help me
