Backup Dungeon Hunter 3 progress without root for galaxy note N7000 - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there, I searched everyway in this forum and I can't find a topic to back up the dungeoj hunter's progress without root. Anyone here knows how back them up before jelly bean launched?
Thanks in advanced!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

I guess without root, you can only backup the app,not the game progress
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium

Yup, and if you play a dungeon hunter with a restored file you cant play online anymore. The server will tell you to update the game even tho you have the latest version.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

Wow this means I have to level my character from level one again...
So if I root and install titanium backup will it fix the problem?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

with a file explorer you can go check contents of sdcard.
Copy the folder with game info to external, copy back, then when reinstalling pray that copying back the progress is viewable in game.
Never tried it, but theoretically it could work. Rooting would be safest bet.

I tried it last day cause im trying out lots of rom, sadly it still asking for update
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

probably cause you are restoring old version after updating new version
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

yesterday I updated the version (27July2012) version and it is working with no problem so far. The progress is still with me
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app

I am not sure. But I noticed, there're only some files that's update while I'm playing the game. It's in data folder. I didn't try it myself yet.

I really hope jb will not be wipe version or else I need to root and use tb to back up every save files

Manually installing system apps

Hi there. After deleting the clock app from my note I have been sent the apk again to reinstall. However aftrr pushing file into system/app i cannot get it to install and it does not show up in app drawer. I have permissions set at RW R R but still nothing.
Am I doing something wrong? All help appreciated.

Bit more info on this. I am on LQ2 with Root and standard kernel.
Only thing i havent done that I can think of is to simply reload LQ2 and start again but this seems a bit much for the sake of an alarm clock. I have installed a basic clock from market but i much predfered the stock clock.

Haven't you got a backup which includes the clock? Always do backups with titanium backup before removing system apps.
In case you got titanium backup pm me your email address and I will send you my backup of the clock. I think this is the simplest way.

Yeah i realise now that i should have done a back up but i deleted the wrong app whilst i was cleaning up and didnt realise till later.

Did you reboot after pushing the apk and setting permissions? It has to be done for changes to take effect.
Yeah rebooted and cleared davlik cache as well.
I think the problem might be that there is still parts of the alarm or clock app left in the the registry or system/app folder but I cant find them. For time being i downloaded a copy of the Clock app from tge Nexus and it works fine.

Sending you titanium backup of clock, place it to titanium backup folder and restore it.
Check PM after some time.

I did exactly the same. Sent it to him by email. No response yet whether it worked or not.
Hey guys thanks for reply. Not had a chance to try back up yet but should get time later tonight and will let you know.

Ok so tried to do a backup and titanium says its reinstalling app but just stays at that sort of buffering circle for as long as i care to leave the phone to run. In titanium the backup shows being available for backup with the smiley face etc. I can see titanium getting su access etc as well but just not reinstalling.
Might need to admit defeat lol.

Really it wud be very easy to reflash ROM.
Dr Ketan your totally right i just didnt want to. Now though i have spent that long messing about i would have been as well doing it to start with.

it would be relatively painless if you'll find/use non-wipe ROM

Wife's galaxy s

Hi my wife's galaxy s has started turning the screen on at random..and continuously sometimes. This as we know will start ruining the battery.I've had many issues with her ics. For some reason since installing a kernel. It messed it all up somehow the remains of the boot image or kernel etc is still onboard thankfully I still can boot her. Can't apply custom roms at all. I can send an official rom from the PC but that's it. I managed to get gb on. Its started randomly turning the screen on. Fairly certain its not the rom she's had it since last year
Any ideas? Is there anyway to totally strip the phone of virtually everything to the core and start against
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
If you think its a kernel issue you could run a kernel cleaner script then reflash, but my sgs did this when it got water damage almost exactly as your described
Sent from my GT-I9000 running remICS-UX using XDA premium
Thanks for the reply do you know where the kernel script is?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Do a nandroid backup. Then copy necessary files to SD card (rom, kernel, modem, whatever.)
Then format /system and do a factory reset. Then do a fresh install of your kernel and rom.
Then in cwm go to backup and restore, advanced restore, and restore her data!
Then your phone is fresh .
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1166954 here you go read the guide and flash it , I seriously doubt the other suggestion will work as the nandroid backup restores it to exactly how it was before I mean like if your wifi was left on it will be on after you restore exact, so what ever bug is doing this will almost defiantly restore aswell
Sent from my GT-I9000 running remICS-UX using XDA premium
It will work we are just saving data like settings and apps.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Ill just back up apps. And SMS etc that's it. Need a new rom anyway

It backs all the system apps up aswell and every single thing so if there is a bug it will restore that aswell... your better off just redownloading the Alps from play market after and using a sms backup app if you want a clean install

File system on ARHD 10

Clear this up for me and everyone else. What is going on here with the data/media? Also it seems like it's just me but when I moved my files from there to sdcard everything was deleted after reboot so I have none of my old stuff.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Welcome to Android 4.2.2. Your files need to be under folder 0 to be seen correctly.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 8
I've never seen this on my n7. Also why is it when I place a file in /sdcard using root explorer the files get deleted on reboot?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Not sure on that one, mate, but if you place them on /sdcard/0 they should stick without issue.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 8
I know you can place things in /storage/emulated/0 and it works but on my nexus 7 I just use /sdcard and everything is fine. Here when I reboot it says files there are temporary and are deleted on reboot.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Hmm, I'll fide around with mine. I've never heard of files being placed on any storage location being deemed temporary and deleted. There's another guy in a thread up who can only get things to stixk/flash when he pushes them to /data/media/
Sent from my Galaxy Note 8
Maybe I need to reflash. I think I'm gonna wipe my sdcard when I do and start from scratch.

Flash first THEN wipe! ... or else adb sideload is your friend!
(But I've seen you around here enough that you should know better... so just in case!)
Well it's not doing it anymore. It did it long enough to delete all my other files because I thought I had to place all my stuff there. Oh well, I'm just missing like 10 songs and some pictures from my current backup files.

Help

I need help, currently my os is the jellybean version. All along my fone always have lots of apps running behind til I reduce to 6-8 apps. But lately I try to update apps, it prompt me insufficient memory. I tried my ways to stop apps to run but still can't. I check my device memory is only 202mb. Usbstorage got 7.52gb. May I ask wat is the root problem. I really wanted to do a hard reset to factory setting. Anyways can help...
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Hard reset on jb isn't safe. If you have not root your phone then root with philz safe kernel. Then only do hard reset.
Everytime you uninstalling an app make sure to clear data first so that it could free some memory which previously used by the app.
Your running out of storage memory or ram?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
Hi androidsaver, it prompts me "my device memory is insufficient, unable to install the update".

Is your device rooted?
When you open file manager how much GB does it say available in "sdcard"
It's always so much harder when you have to try (David Gray).
OK. When I open the file manager, my sd card definitely have enough memory cos I still have 24gb memory. I believe is my device memory in the fone, giving me problem.

IM Sorry but i just can't understand you well enough to help. I was talking about your internal SD not external

Opppss, sorry abt tat. The internal storage is the usb storage. I have 7.41gb.

I found a topic which is related my problem too but seems like no1 able to help.. do I really need to stop all the files from running behind or last option to restore back to factory setting?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I got this msg... can anyone tells me how should I rectify it.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Device rooted? If you are, go to folder root/data/log and delete some logs with name something like dumpstate_ril_RESET_BY_CP_SILENTRESET_20130801070641.
Deleting these files frees up space. About 6mb per file. No adverse effect so far for me. Not sure about deleting other files.
Sent from my GT-N7000
Thanks. But I have not rooted my note. Now I'm facing lots of app unable to use. Reason due to insufficient storage to sync.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
It might not help but you could try avg cleaner off of the play store or else disk defragmenter
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Like what i mentioned before. It is most likely that those file are created by system and stored in you root partition. The only way i know is to root the phone and delete those files.
Sent from my GT-N7000
May I ask what is the recommended software for rooting my fone?
Anyway I have check with the samsung service centre. I was told the device is for install apps., so I only have 2gb of apps.
For the deleting of files, I worried I might delete the wrong files and cause malfunction of the fone.. I guess I need to delete some folders in the fone

Search for Philz thread and read it. That is the easiest and safe way to root N7000. As for logs deleting, the logs filename i mentioned is safe for deleting.

He probably installed an app that changes some file on /system (like AdAway). Stock will reset itself and you will lose everything if you do that.

Thankyou for replying. I echanged the device for a new one but my daughters has done the same thing tonight. Will see if it happens again. Any advice on prevention or protecting the apps?

Don't let them install any apps that you have not checked out. And track all the ones they do install.

Are guys stock or did you install custom recovery? Because if so maybe they accidentally wiped data/factory reset in CWM?
