[Q] Radio application for JB/ICS - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm currently using Spazedog JB, and it works like a charm, but I noticed it isn't bundled with a fm radio application like the "good old" cm7 (gingerbrea) was. Any suggestion?

FM radio is only available on cm7 and Sense rom
But you can download Spirit Radio,it's a paid app but i'm sure you can find it for free

Working FM radio app on CM7.1?

Has anyone found a working FM radio app that works on CM7.1? I'm not talking about an app like iheartradio or rdio, but an app that actually picks up FM frequencies.
I've read that the nooks radio is capable of receiving FM radio, and I also know that the CM team sometimes builds this into their rom.

You need a hardware for it, but I do not think Nook Color has it.
You probably read that the wireless chipset supports FM radio. However, it appears that there is no other supporting hardware. Just forget that FM was even mentioned until further notice

[BT] Track Info Display

Halo guys, I guess there are lots of Nexus users here own a bluetooth headset.
After updating to 4.2.1, anyone successfully display the track info on the headset?
I have a smart wireless headset pro and tried with few roms and no luck.
I am wondering if this a rom issue? Anyone with a success can share your rom(kernel) on your Nexus and the bluetooth headset you have got?
Thanks.
Cheers,
L
What you are looking for is AVRCP 1.3 which is not supported by Google yet. So even if you have support for it in the ROM (cm supports it) you will still need a modified version of Pandora, Google play etc or find an app that does support it.
Your headset is the 3rd piece of the puzzle. Hope this helps

Thx buddy, I have done some Google work about AVRCp also.
Another interesting thing is I successfully display the Track Info once, but it failed again after i reboot my headset
For the reconnect issun, I get a App from Play store and solved the problem. It seems that bluetooth is buggy in Jellybean, much better in Gingerbread.

The Nexus 10 Arcade

Greetings XDA! I have been a follower of XDA for a long time, but this is happens to be my first post, so I figured to commemorate it, I would share V1.0 of my Nexus 10 Arcade machine using the Icade unit! The unit has been given a massive cosmetic overall with brand new custom artwork, and will soon feature LED backlight in V2. Hope you guys enjoy it and it's good to be here!
Since I cannot post a video link quite yet, simply type "The Nexus Arcade" in the Youtube search engine and enjoy!
Looks nice!

Its hard to say...
Logistically?
The icade unit cost me $30 on Ebay, and I got a deal.
The vinyl stickers cost me $35.
The LEDs cost me $30.
Thinkgeek offers them for $100, but I would try Amazon or ebay.

Dude that is sweet, nice job. Do the controls actually work? How are they connected?
The controls work perfectly. They are connected via Bluetooth. Thats why it works with the android tabs and the ipads.

I built a full size arcade cabinet that runs MAME - it's a lot of fun. I'd love to get MAME running on my Nexus 10, but I haven't found a version that works well full screen.
What software are you using?
Also, if anyone is interested, I ripped some sounds from Galaga (ringtone & notification) - almost guarantees your phone will sound unique.
Its running MAME 0.139. It gets the job done.
See version 2 of the device in the link above.

Looks great!
I realized my problem with Mame4Droid Reloaded was that I was using incompatible ROMs. I found some ROMs that were the right version.
If you're not using Mame4Droid Reloaded, what emulator are you using?
Text removed form original post:
Any chance you could send me a link to the version of MAME your using? I've tried mame4droid (can't get full screen) and mame4droid reloaded (can't get most of my ROMs to work). I was hoping to find a fairly simple solution that would let me use my existing Roms full screen.

It is running Mame4Droid Reloaded. 0.139 is the rom version. I also use Final Burn Alpha for some of the CPS-based games like Street Fighter III

This has become quite a time hog...
Mame4Droid Reloaded. 0.139 is running great. I think I might pick up a PS3 controller - seems to be the best option for a universal controller. I don't need to go the iCade route for a controller since I've already got a full size cabinet.
Researching and finding newer versions (0.139u1 compatible) of all my favorite ROMs has made me want to update my cabinet to run the same version as my tablet. I forgot how much fun messing with MAME & various front ends can be - and how quickly a lot of time can be spent.
Anyone know of an inexpensive bluetooth controller with a trackball? I so want to play my favorite arcade game ever, Marble Madness, and was disappointed to learn that MAME4droid doesn't support the Nexus 10 accelerometer. Actually, it does support it but only for left/right (driving) controls.
Good luck finding a trackball gamepad in general... FPS players have been asking for this for a few years now lol... You might be able to use a trackball mouse or keyboard though
This is awesome!

Freeflight 3.0 comparability?

So I bought a parrot rolling spider minidrone from best buy and it looked pretty cool but it seems the app freeflight 3.0 needs bluetooth 4.0 low energy to control the drone. Every list of specs for the atrix hd suggests that it is 4.0 Le compatible. However the app doesn't work and other bluetooth apps say that it is incompatible as well. Is there any way to make it work or is the hardware not capable of supporting the interface?
P.s. I'm on an old version of cyanfox if that has anything to do with it.
