Do you mean the best camera app ?? The stock app is good but using another one will not change allow you to record movies in 1080p with the GT-I9000
I mean which ROM have best stock camera. In last cm10 camera app have many new options but is stil weak compare to Samsung stock camera app. Question is best quality picture and video is in ROM...
I try many roms in last couple days fear my sgs die from to much flashing . So far last Samsung oficial have best camera.

I will buy LG Optimus 2x for a month, and i realy need good camera(photos and video), so i have a question, which camera app is best ? i will not using stock rom, i'll using probably cm7/9 or something else, sorry for my bad english
Hmmm, first of all good choice to root and flash your O2X because stock LG rom sucks. But the thing is, the only real good thing about stock LG is the camera... (oh the irony... )
Anyway, when you're on CM7 you can flash a camera mod for the rom to improve the camera a bit, but in my opinion it's still not as good as stock. I don't know if there's such mod for CM9 though...
As for camera app, I'd suggest camera360. It's free and works great!
I prefer Camera Zoom FX..
Thanks for answers, is there camera app which is ported from lg stock rom ?
Don´t think so, but the stock camera app is great, try copying it from /system/app/ before you flash a ROM and then install it again.
But make sure you put it in /system/app/ before install, and you must have Root for this.

What is so good in stock camera? There are modded camera apps which can make higher fps and bitrate videos.

I personally think that the stock camera is better than anyone in a custom ROM, because I find it to be the fastest one, I’m also a fan of the UI. But that just my personal thoughts...

@Mylleranton, i think that will not work becouse custom rom doesen't have some libs for stock camera...but i'm not shure.
@powwow88, higher fps ? please give us a name of that camera !

for stock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592747
for cm7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21956617&postcount=1639
These are exchanging the base camera.apk(not 3rd party camera apk) so you can still use camera360 or whatever you like with it.

I'm using the ported stock camera for CM7, it's both quick and makes great pictures and also works best for video recording.
You can find there download link under temaseks download links.
And thanks temasek!

Hi guys...it's possible to port the super fast camera of the galaxy s3???
Thanks
I think yes... but does it worth it? ...I think that one in SGS is fast enough ... and i think that the speed of camera depends on hardware
I'm using RemICS rom which is an ICS rom based on CM9. It is using SGS3 camera. I prefer the original GB camera. Someone expressed the opinion that the quality of photos and videos from GB camera is better than ICS camera running on SGS1. I agree with the previous post that the speed of the camera is mostly dependent on the hardware.
Conclusion: Not worth porting the SGS3 camera to SGS1.
the remics is not using sgs3 camera. It is currently using the ics one.
Currently no one has ported the sgs3 camera, we might need to wait until someone port successfully.

Hi All,
I have a Note N-7000. I got it just a few weeks before ICS roll out. The Camera behaves weird and now its not the same as it was in 2.3.
daylight photos are okay but low light photos are really thumbs down and a lot of Red-Eye.
I still have photos before and after update and I can see quality of photos degrading after that!!!
Is Every1 having similar opinions or do I need any other settings to better the quality of photos??
Need you opinion...
Camera on ICS AND JellyBean is Better than on GingerbREAD
I still feel that camera quality has degraded in ICS..is your note also a GT N-7000??
Everyones note there is a GT-N7000....would be really weird if the folks who use the american Note were hanging out here.....
But no, I've not noticed it and the camera in the JellyCore ROM (JellyBean rom) is better than the GB one

We'll my brother has the I717 and comparing my N7000 to his, I'd say the cam resolution is much more cleaner and sharp as compared to mine.. Though I can't say if this is ROM related or so.... he has CM10 installed and I have the (self modified) LRQ one. Not that it matters though.
exactly the same thing I observed that the indian note camera's quality's degraded than thew others..I see a lot of red-eye too when i use flash..is there any setting for removing that or any update or something that would better the quality..??
Hi,
I m just wondering what other camera app that you guys can recommend to replace stock camera ? Something that is faster and have good image stabilizer, filter is just added bonus. For day to day/indoor shooting most of the time. Thx
camerazoom fx, perfectly clear both these r good. If you install a 4.2 ROM someday, the stock camera is indeed fast
Will try, thx. I m on 4.1.2. The camera is no diff compare to stock ics

I could not find any ROM with Smooth and Quality HD Recording
Can you guys help me ? Please.
Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. It would be nice if the ROM would have good performance too

"Half" HD (720p) worked on my i9000 best ever with stock Froyo.
Now I can't even use 720p, I've enabled 409MB of memory and it disabled 720p recording.

Yes, correct- I use i9000.
Besides the fact that we need different ROMs for i9000 and i9001 I hoped you could benefit from my information. Stock ROM had good working VR and really nice IQ quality.
Videography is my big hobby, so I'm anyway not a big fan of HD recordings with a phone- I rather use hacked mirroless camera with truly great lens instead.

Our i9000 on 4.2.2 videorecord perfect on LiveOC 120% and use Camera JB+ application. Try it! Especially on 44100 sound discretisation.
I think this problen arises because JB roms is not optimised for 512mb ram. Try KK rom. Video recording in they is good and smooth. Or try kernel with low user memory 350mb e. g. but I'm not sure that it will be works.
