I was installing the 2.1 ota from 2.0 when my battery died and my phone will not get passed the boot screen. IS my phone bricked or can it be fixed?
Did u try reflashing or installing 2.0 with the Droid 2.1 downgrade program. It wipes the phone completely and reinstalls 2.0.1. Just look for the 2.1 rooting tutorial and it ill explain how to reinstall 2.0.1 from bootloader if you can access that part of phone.

To further explain after checking you will need rsd lite 4.6 and the Droid 2.0.1 sbf file. There is links and a tutorial in the Droid development forum for rooting 2.0.1 and also 2.1. Use the tutorial to just reinstall 2.0.1 and it has links for rsd lite and sbf file and instructions.

Here's the tutorial instructions.
First download USB drivers. There are 32bit and 64 bit depending on computer hardware.
Download rsd lite 4.6
Download Droid 2.0.1 sbf file.
Once all are downloaded install the USB drivers on computer 32 or 64 bit depending on computer hardware. If not sure try both one will work the other will fail if not the right one.
Then install rsd lite.
Place the sbf file in a seperate or new directory. I did on my desktop and still worked so doesn't really matter
Plug USB cable into device and power off if its on. Other wise when off hold the directional up keypad button and power at same time
It should boot into bootloader.
Once in bootloader and USB plugged in start rsd lite. In the middle of rsd lite window it should show the device connected.
Click on the ... button next to search bar in rsd lite and navigate to where the sbf file is. Once found it click on it.
Once selected sbf file I forgot what button said but click update, install or flash or something like that on right side of rsd lite window.
It will take a little while but once it finishes you may get a failure. That's ok I did don't worry. Just click on the line that says failed and it will extract and finish on the phone.
Once it says sw update finished or complete. Unpluge the device and reboot it. It should reboot back into 2.0.1 and your done. Should be fixed. From that point you can root if you want.

I'm at my wits end. I want to flash back to stock to download the JB update. I'm on rooted stock now but when I try to update it gives me a status 7 error for the swype apk. RSD Lite won't recognize my bionic in fastboot mode with the motorola cable on Windows 8 64bit. I'm about to download linux and just try fastboot-linux. Can anyone help me?
Im using Windows 7 64-bit but i had the issue about not finding the device and like an idiot after FXZing back to 4.0.4 i forgot to turn Debugging back on.

1. Just flash it with RSD lite
2. Flash lastest TWRP and flash anhy ROM.zip
P.S. If your PC can`t see phone on TWRP-MTP-mode - try to mount data on TWRP and look to drivers

SlimReaper, relax, don't freak out. You have all the tools you need, you just need to know how to use them properly.
Can you still get into TWRP? If yes, then if your phone can be detected as USB storage, how about copying a ROM zip file to it while it's connected as USB storage and then boot into TWRP and flash the ROM file that you just put on it? Otherwise you'll have to flash with your computer using RSD lite like the other guys suggested.

I Think i have soft bricked my moto g2. i want to flash the stock firmware with a locked boot loader but i cannot do this manually as it comes up with an error. So i decided to use RSD to flash it but it wont detect my device. I have tried different usb ports, different wires, and 2 windows 10 laptops. i have motorola device manager (which downloads drivers too) and rsd 6.1.5 (Latest) installed.
I have searched everywhere but i cant find a solution.
So three things. Can i flash stock firmware with a locked bootloader?, can rsd flash my .zip firmware with a locked bootloader? and can someone help with rsd not detecting my phone?
Thanks
Zain
Probably driver issues. Were all the 10 laptops you used had windows 8 or higher?

Same problem here. I've tried an official Motorola USB data cable, on USB 2.0 port, RSD Lite on both Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 10. Device Manager says MOT ADB Device. RSD Lite will NOT detect phone.
Droid Razr HD- no go
I'm trying to flash a stock rom using the servicefile with rsd lite and as the title says I'm getting "usb error occurred while reading/writing, ". Obviously it sees the phone, and if I open a command prompt and flash something manually in fastboot, it works fine so I don't think it's a driver issue. I'm using the newest version of rsd and I've tried multiple usb ports.
Any suggestions?
