Thanks man. Tomorrow i will try exchange my old p500 :good:
I had the same problem 3 weeks ago. Also coming from p500. First root your Rom then get galaxy s unlocker from play store. Make an /efs backup that's very important!
Then have fun, if you are into JB get helly bean

I've used Galaxy_S Unlock app successfully to unlock the i9000, and it worked like a charm! The app is available in the play store

Hi guys, i have some questions and hope you could help me.
I bought a galaxy mini a while ago, and of course i was wondering if i could change the rom.Mine is in the picture , hope it helps. It updated a few days ago with samsung keys to 2.3.4. The problem is that it's locked in orange. It has a lot of crap that i dont want or use. The thing is, can i flash it if it's locked? And can you give me a few pointers on how to do that?
Thanks

You can sim unlock your device and then flash the rom --You can pay few buck and get it unlocked online or maybe there are some around your locality--... This way the rom will surely work...
Note: I haven't trying doing either and what you do is at your own risk!!
So this wont work until i sim-unlock it?

Just flash custom roms.. well, at least for me. Mine was network locked at first. I never knew that it was unlocked until I inserted a different provider simcard.. but there was a guide on how to do it, bml5 method.. just search it here in xda..

I know the the EUR bootloaders can only be unlocked at this time, but is anyone currently working on a bootloader unlock for the rest of us? Or is there a workaround that I can't seem to find anywhere on the internet? Call me desperate but i really want this thing unlocked. It was a pain in the nads waiting for root and now I got screwed out of an unlocked bootloader. I'm on SW version: 988020b-466-92.
They haven't find a solution for locked bootloaders. I hope they will find a solution soon

The bootloader is only unlockable with Jelly Bean, ie. v20a/b/c. If you're still in a v10x, you need to update your phone's OS to JB before trying to unlock your bootloader. You can do it simply with the LG official tool.

Thanks for the help, hopefully not damaging the cell with the CM10, I already installed the Cm9 on a phone before, but always the fear. I'll have to wait for my phone and get to know which model it (perhaps the L).

I'm a little lost here, I can install in any model Cm10.1 S3 mini, but I saw a tutorial on the internet that seeks to root before installing CM10.1, why?
I can not create an account on SamMobile, can you pass me the stock of another link?

No, you don't have to root before installing CM10.1, it comes pre-rooted
here you go
