[Request] SMS shell

I'd love to see some sort of shell or replacement for the normal SMS app that maintained all the simple design of the default app (i.e. without Chomp's ugly iPhone clone...I didn't buy an iPhone) but allows us to change colors? I'd love for my texts to maintain the otherwise dominant scheme on the phone, i.e. white text on black background.
There are themes out there that do this, like the prodigal sun theme.
I suggest trying handcent SMS
You can use the original android style instead of Iphone style like I do.
You can change the colors of many things. You can even add a background picture to the threaded messaging screen.

I gave Handcent a shot. Unfortunately, using the Android conversation style with the Black theme doesn't work very well. Take a look
I use the black theme.. But on the threaded view I have a nice picture of nature..
And the message boxes are almost transparent.. It looks beautiful..I'll try to show you a screenshot later.

I agree, Handcent is very customizable and doesn't force you to use the ugly ass iphone bubbles.
You may want to try either a rogers based ROM, or try moving the messaging app from a rogers build.. It comes with black background/white text messaging.

MIUI Keyboard & Messaging Theme

I would love a clean green and black theme for the messaging app on MIUI that looks like the windows mobile 7 messaging along with a flat black stock keyboard buuuuut I have been able to find none of those anywhere. Is anyone feeling gracious enough to make one? I know its a lot to ask but at least you get the warm fuzzy feeling that comes with doing a good deed.
Nothing? Nobody is feeling the Christmas spirit?
Triple Post
Btw, all I need are the icons for the sms app. I know how to replace the files and even make the icons, I just don't have the means to do so.
SMS Theme
HEY!!! dont know if you have ever tried it...but why not just use handcent!! as your default sms and change the colors for that there. as for your keyboard...yeah idk.
I too would suggest Handcent if you haven't yet tried it...it has many customizable options as well as a clean interface.
I have tried it. I liked how you could change the colors but I'm meant change the buttons and the whole message bubble, not just colors.

[REQUEST] WidgetLocker Lockscreen/Background

Hi
Im not sure where to post my request, because i didn't wnat to "blow up" the FAQ&Help-Thread with a request, but if a mod thinks it fits better there or in another part of the forum, just feel free to move my thread.
I was playing around with dozens of sliders and lockscreens, but im not happy at all. Maybe it is because of all these phantastic screens mady with help of psd's (Photoshop) and more. I dont have photoshop and dont have "skills" doing some nice screen by myself, so maybe someone can provide me with some nice WLTheme and Background.
Lets start with the slider. I like these new Sense 3-Sliders, like these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13151132&postcount=544
All i want is nearly the same, just with a few less arrows. And i'd like to see the text "unlock" changed into the german "Entsperren", or maybe no text at all.
Now for the background/wallpaper. I love shelfs, like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14300526&postcount=31660
or
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/607/33111.jpg/
I'd like to have a background with maybe 2 or 3 shelfs, where i can put my icons on it by myself, and maybe one without shelf, for playing around. I know that putting the icons on the shelfs without playing with the psd's is hard, but i could try
I will either use these icons:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13151132&postcount=544
or maybe
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14307546&postcount=31692
(the round ones)
For the colours....I like black, dark blue, dark grey, but please no green, no orange, no pink and other "freaky" colours
This is a very nice Background too:

This is something i'd like to use
I have a SonyEricsson Xperia Play (480 x 854). If you need more details, tell me.
Can someone do me the favour of doing these things?
Would love it, thanks
I have/had no skills either but downloaded GIMP (it's free) and googled for instructional videos to watch and asked the others here on xda how they did theirs and learned to do what i wanted done. Frustrating sometimes but worth the effort i think .
Good luck !
I am nearly done with something looking like
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14315167&postcount=1218
and
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14300526&postcount=31660
I was able to arrange the icons so close together as in the screens. I had to change the grid/alignment of WidgetLocker to 12x12.
But some tiny things are missing. Maybe someone can lend me hand with that.
I am using the same Icons as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14300526&postcount=31660, but i wasnt able to find the phone icon. I went to Agamemnon's deviantArt-collection and found the icon:
http://agamemmnon.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=24#/d3gjnie
I grabbed the icon, but it has a white background. Can someone edit it for me and make a transparent background so i can use it?
Then i saw this nice Gmail-Ribbon:
http://agamemmnon.deviantart.com/gallery/?offset=0#/d3hftzy
Can someone "combine" this ribbon with the dark Mail-Icon, so it will look like this one?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14300526&postcount=31660
But even if i can manage these things, there is still one issue. I am using SMS Unread Count for adding notification-bubbles to the MAIL, DIALER and MESSAGING icons. But the bubbles are way too small. This happened because i had to change the WidgetLocker grid/alignment to the maximum of 12x12.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks

Question [Q] Sorry for making a thread for this... But how the hell do you turn off the stupid "Themed Icons" thing?

So any time my wallpaper changes, my phone changes the theme of itself. Changes my messages, my web browser, backgrounds all of it. Not talking about the icons, but my whole screen. So instead of like a white text message box, that **** turns pink, or orange, or some other nonsense based off of the wallpaper.... I know that every site at its mom says to go into Wallpaper Styles and disable Themed Icons, but no such thing or anything even remotely close to anything like that exists on my OP10Pro.... I pretty much just have to put a black wallpaper, or deal with disgusting pastel colors and bs everywhere. I just want stock colors...
Edit : Seems like an issue with oneplus devices after A12...
Update... It's a freaking google bs issue. It's called Material You and/or Monet, and apparently the Pixel series is the only thing that can disable it. .............................................
There's an app called LWP+ that lets you edit the behavior... Friggin crappy solution, but w/e. Google seriously pissing me off. How is that Ubuntu touch or mobile OS whatever it's called going? nvm, LWP+ wont work for my situation. gonna try "Repainter". so tired of this Material You/Monet bs....
