Hey guys, messed up pretty good..
I was stupid and thought that I could install a mod for a statusbar, for a rom that i don't even had. Now, my Note is stuck in a loop on the bootlogo. I've tried to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition and Dalvik Cache but nothing works. Still stuck on the bootlogo. Any ideas? I'm running Paranoidandroid v.04
Love u guys

Are you able to boot in cwm recovery, if yes then flash PA rom again. Everything will be normal.
By the way, did you flash this theme earlier?
Did you flash your ROM again since you did factory reset?

Hi!
I have a problem after trying to flash Cyanogen 9 on my Galaxy note and now it can't get pass the "Touch android to begin" screen.
I have tried flashing the stock rom using Odin but it still encounters this error.
Is there anything i could do to save it
Just go into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot and it will be fine

Sorry for double posting.
Tried wiping the cache, still hangs after the touch Android to begin screen and reboots.
Try doing a full wipe data you are on gb kernal so no need to worry about bricking

Sorry again for double posting.
I tried using Odin to flash it back to a stock gingerbread ROM, still hangs at the start up screen.
:silly:Hello people I was trying to flash in this rom but i got stuck in bootloop and it instantly drained my battery down to 0% from about 50%. i flashed it by the standard clearing cache and partition then installing zip through cwm 5. Did i do anything wrong for this particular rom? Sorry but I'm new with flashing.

I dont think this rom is compatible with the device. If it is then u should have done factory reset first then wipe cache partition and finally wipe dalvik cache. Since u didnt do that it could have messed up your device. Try get it to download mode by holding home+power+volume up and then flash stock rom with odin or get it into recovery and flash another rom correctly. If u cannot get into neither modes then usb jig is your only choice

I own a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 running on android 2.3.6 with build number GINGERBREAD.DDKQ8.I successfully rooted my device(SU icon in the app drawer), flashed cwm5.0.2.6 with no error.
I flashed gingercruzt 2.2, cm 7.1,7.2,9,10 with the following instructions:
1) Wipe data/factory reset
2) Wipe cache partition
3) Under advanced, wipe dalvik cache
4) Flashed the rom.
After rebooting for the first time, this happens(for every rom I tried):
The phone boots into the rom(the capacitive buttons get turned on) -> setup window is reached -> then the phone starts booting again->in further boots it reaches cm logo only and keeps on booting again and again.
I tried wiping data, cache partition, dalvik cache and reboot. None of it worked.
I flashed the roms again .But still stuck at bootloop.
Ps : I randomly took my sim out and did a complete wipe and the roms work fine!!!.
But with sim again, the same problem persists.
PLEASE HELP.THANKS IN ADVANCE.
If you have installed any custon rom previous than i suggest you to first flash fresh ddkq8 stock and than try to install ur custom rom..
It might be happening because of previous rom data !

Problem could be your simcard? How is that even possible. Try flashing with your sim out then insert it after the rom is installed.

It would be a great advisable idea if you flash stock rom via odin every time when you want to switch from one cusom rom to other...

Did you mount the /system? Sometimes you have to do this.
Boot into CWM, mounts and storage > mount /system
Check to see that everything is mounted, sd-ext may or may not work, don't worry about it, it's a big in most CM9 ROMs
So, i rooted the device with thew toolkit, and installed CWM 6.0.2.5.
I have now tried to flash temastek CM 10.1 rom, but after the flashing is done, the phone goes in to S/W update mode, and boots up again with stock rom!
I have tried wipe factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache aswell as format system! It always start the S/W update, and restoring my phone to default rom, but i still have root access.
Am i doing anything wrong! I am pretty familiar to rooting and flashing roms, but i have no idea what to do now! The phone resets itself all the time!
Thank you for your help!

After restoring a backup of cm10.1 the boot animation took longer than normal and then froze. So I tried doing a clean intall of cm10.1.2 and the phone doesn't pass from the boot animation. I've already tried factory resetting, wiping dalvik/cache, flashing boot.img of cm10.1.2 through fastboot after flashing cm10.1.2.zip ... nothing works, always the same result... and if I flash some other cm compatible kernel over the rom, when I reboot the phone doesn't pass the LG logo... So I'm out of ideas for now, and that's why I'm coming here to see if anyone has any other idea of how to revive my (soft) bricked phone...
Thank you for your time
PS - All this happened after trying to flash this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2413135 and getting stuck at the LG logo...
PS2 - Okay, it seems that the problem is caused by the fact that I installed cm10.2 and then reverted back to cm10.1... But I have done factory resets, have wiped cache, data, dalvik, and system, all to no good... Don't know where to go from here... Btw, by flashing cm10.2 I can get to the "Android is upgrading - Starting apps" but then it gets stuck in this part and goes no further...
