It won't work !!
USB and Wi-Fi tethering is not locally bridged on the phone !!
Ask some dev to do it for you!!
I think it can be made!!!
Try it though !!

Wii does not support connecting to an adhoc wireless network. No way to do it, I have tried a million different ways.

I know, doesn't work on the DS either. Sucks but it is what it is.
On the bright side, evo users can now make a full infrastructure network. Arguments to up grade are getting more and more convincing.

Yeah, i knew this. Trying to do it using usb. some of the other samsung phones can do this.
What this would be good for.
1) no wifi router
2) connect phone using usb to pc
3) then using the internet from your pc
4) phone becomes wifi hotspot and wont affect data usage
5) use ipad or tablet to connect to phone and surf.
Get my drift?

Yes I get you, been doing the same thing on HTC phones
However, if you have a laptop with Windows 7, you don't need a wifi router
I use that method and turn my laptop to a wifi router and connect both my phone and tablet to it's network

I really like this idea. If anyone tries this please let us know if it works on the Note and If phone calls/sms are uninhibited during reverse tether.
I have my old Windows Mobile phone and i want to use it like device to tether Cellular data to my phone(I have 2 Sim cards). But if i start tether app on my WM device i cant see the this at my S5570I i tried WIFI and Bluetooth too. But on my Asus Transformer tablet i can see it and i can connect with no problem. Does anyone know solution to this problem? I really need this to work.

I want to be able to connect my Note to networked devices. Note + Ethernet dongle/or usb = network access
See reverse tethering is just opposite to tethering.means running your pc's internet(whichever) on your note.
Please type in google and search for xda link.

Thanks for the note back. There has to be a solution for going right off an ethernet adapter.
Situation: No WIFI, only Ethernet, have my Note + Ethernet dongle. How to connect to the network using only a dongle + Note.
The reverse tether worked like a champ, but I'd like to connect without my computer.
Thanks again!
That is not possible as far as i know.
You know i tried to connect my tata photon plus thru otg but didnt work.
Hey! I think i have helped you...please hit thanks button!

Thanks for the link. This worked great - but I am looking for a solution to connect using only my Note and a dongle - no PC in the loop. Any thoughts?

Oh it is without a doubt possible. Out of the box, no root, no mod, the Xoom does it just fine. The connection must be through a DHCP router, but it works like a champ. I am new to the board and not allowed to post links or images yet - as soon as I can, I will put up some pictures.
Bottom line: OTG + Android device + Ethernet dongle works on other devices ... the question is, how does one get it to work on the N7000.
Oh, and I did give you a couple thanks!
is there is any app make me use my pc internet on my NOTE via cable like "internet pass through" in HTC Devices ...?

when you install the tracetool service on the phone, it open the usb tunnel.. and then the ART works well.. need SU permissions and android debug bridge enabled on the phone
