Although most of members of forum are on ICS rom, I am sharing a GB (2.3.7) rom. As you all are aware about the fact i.e at this moment ICS is not that stable. Thanks to all developer and porter who put efforts and give us opportunity to taste ICS. As per "AEOI" JB is more graphics and RAM friendly than ICS... he started to work on JB. RCSET also shared unooficial CM10 version in general section... may be he still working on it. Abenagiel already started to learn and develope CM10 with ArdX source. CK already have kernel for CM10... may elol also can start work around JB. Hope for the best.
Back to point, I am sharing Lewa OS based on abenagiels kernel for GB (2.6.35.7).
Some Charecteristic feature of Lewa OS
1. Smooth
2. Battery friendly
3. Stable ... no random reboot
4. Lots of theme available with MIUI like customization (if you use LEWA HOME launcher)
5. Good GPS connectivity.
6. Volume wake option available and working flawlessly (mainly for those whose power button got jaam)
7. Good sound clarity with default Music player as well as with Jet audio too
8. No ICS OCV issues, all sensors are working
9. Camera work flawlessly even ICS camera work with panorama feature... it's great ..:good:
10 . Rom is Game friendly
11. Inbuilt power manager for better power management and work very effectively
12. No need of Set CPU like software as inbuilt seeting help us to set the same

14 dual boot option at boot menu

You have a good repo and understanding over here and you need to update us from time to time about what all is happening and need to request and push people for Sake of FIH - FBO spirit to keep development for this device alive.
I think you should share with all of us in a general thread about the current update and status and from now onward update it from time to time. where we can disucss about general things, updates and other stuff.
Hope u will do something as we need to keep up the spirits.
Regarding Rom, I am downloading and will update the experience soon.

Thanks mate. I reverted back to Sharp Mod 1 yesterday. Thus missing a few of the ICS goodies I wanted a fully funky toy cam and video wise. I also encountered BT with latest Paranoid and will try this out and report! Thanks again! :beer:

Is it ?? ... may be it my bad... that I am not able to locate it ... but I remember I flashed the same ....
Flashed this ROM, did not see any google apps expect for google search ???, flashed gapps, cannot still see play store. APN to be manually configured, but I am not able to sign into Gmail (had a back up app)...but able to use the browser. Am I the only one facing this ? Not sure if this a problem with ROM/phone or my service provider (but able to surf internet via browser)
Look and feel is awesome and ROM is very promising. Interface is very smooth, need to get my basic in place (contacts mails logs etc) before I can comment further.

Please uninstall what you have backuped and follow below steps and let me know if it works for you
For Gmail,
1. You can install attached app directly,
2. do login
3. make sure you have activated Auto Sync

I tried old "last?" soft key fix but still keys are shifted. Any tip on this?
GPS OK, Cam OK after initial crash. Very nice rom, hope for softkey fix though. Good work!

Not observing this on my handset, softkeys are working (lighting up fine) ....must be once again Huawei 9000 specific issue. Also CAM did not crash for me and opens up instantly...however front cam is not working but does not crashes the app, just reverts to the default back cam visuals. Need to try with ICS cam which worked like a charm on Edo's CM7.

use the gmail app given by vivek. ensure that you turn on Back up and auto sync options in Account

1 ... just try to activate auto sync ... don't no why are giving problem in syncing problem

3.... try to install ICS Camera from market... front camera is working with that...

i decided to release this alpha 2 although camera still partially work. for this time being, u can use hdr camera plus (included) to shoot, although the screen is black u can still capture photo.
what working great in this version:
- call & messaging
- data (2g, 3g, 3.5g)
- wifi
- bluetooth
- flashlight led (similar with torch in miui but it has dual torch, one using camera, one using front led screen - to make this work i hijack ledlights.mx.so frm meizu mx rom & change it to ledlights.fb0.so)
this rom come with low sound by default but its not a bug, to change it u need to go to sound setting & increase it. for call volume u need to set it with x5 setting app included in this rom, maximum call volume is 200, but just make it around 170-180. x5 setting also allow u to overclock yr cpu & choose yr governor.
steps for rom installation:
1. do a full wipe

I managed to port this rom to our device & proud to say this is the very 1st time i successfully ported rom frm huawei ideos x5 u8800 WITH RADIO SIGNAL! yes... ril is functioning, this is y i put the dev stage as alpha. Bluetooth also working, i'll fix wifi later.

p/s 2: now i get a problem with my phone, my power button is jammed. if u guys think i need spare hp for my porting works pls donate, bcoz i dont want to port miui & cm roms, i want to bring something different! somemore, we already hv numbers of miui & cm devs here

my power button jammed... anyway to fix it? luckily i still can go to cwm by pressing volume+ & volume-. i try to change all framework & app files with dianxin os for moto defy files, but still no signal, with this changes, transition look smoother.
ohhh... that baseband switcher FC, cannot use
once again, anyway to fix the power button issue?

hi guys, i ported a few roms this week to our device & all working - miui 2.2.24 gb, joyos (joyui.net), lezo latest rom & ligux beta 4. i decided just to upload this ligux latest rom bcoz i managed to make all major functions working, so u can use it daily without any problem.

transition smoothness
what else? u tell me
as per requested, i also pushed fmradio.apk & fmradioservice.apk, 3 fm radio lib files, 2 fm radio bin files to this rom. this is just started, i'll do research to find headset related files.
i also ported 3 hdmi lib files to this rom. pls test (direct plug @ using 3rd party hdmi app) & report to me.
i hv changed to english version of root explorer, added flashlight led app with ledlights.fb0.so

wah!!!! you are the gud god man to port some rom for this device,like easy to get all rom support for this device.....I also have a port rom leZo and cm 7 nightly,but still cannot got signal mobile and baseband,only wifi just work..fruuuuhhh!!!I think I give up to port some rom...:-(

great job bro, already download and flashing with this rom, but there is no 3G signal, only 2G, I'm already set to wcdma only, but had FC, I'm already have 5th random reboot when using this ROM..,I'm coming from MIUI 1.11.11 with full wipe user data, any way great job and thanks for your hard work.., I'm flashing yhis ROM to my VIGO410

I think so, its kinda weird to me, yes bro I do full wipe, cache, dalvik cache, user data/factory reset, I even try wipe bat & voltage too, then flashing again with this rom, I think my apn it's OK, already trying manual setting base on my carrier, but same result keep happened, maybe I should try going back to androi-id rc1 from tjstyle then flashing with this rom again, I will report you asap, thanks for your att bro,

1.this rom doesnt include GApps, so you need to flash it by yourself(just use zuk's link )
2.deleted some apps and add some apps such as Baidu input method,QuickPic Floder,ROOT Explorer,FMR Memory cleaner,365+Calender and Ti-Backup
(I think zuk may deleted them ? some of them , like 365+Calender , are no use for non-chinese users )
3.added x5settings.apk to adjust calling volume,default volume had already set to maximum
4.changed search button to lock screen (not sure,i cant understand what he really mean 搜索键改锁屏), and other small changes of config files
5.when installing apps you can choose install to sdcard or internal storage
6.used .35 kernel by geno, so speaker also plays a scratchy sound, when pressing vol.up and down together will vibrate and lag for few seconds... video recording works fine
7.added a ram control script and a script to turn-off softkey backlight automatically, if you need backlight just del \system\etc\init.d\Z90closeButtonLight and reboot
8.added zipalign optimize script, considering if you install too many apps it may be slow so you need to execute it manually. run this \system\etc\init.d\08zipalign.sh after installed apps,and system will show you an optimize log

i use .32 kernel and its working fine. i hv changed that 08 to 09, bcoz i use 08 for hostapd (wifi related files)

- going back to andro-id rc1 this morning, then flashing with this rom
- 3G conection is active, no more FC close when set to wcdma only

- Camera looks good, but can not take video record, image is freeze when hit capture button, when stop recording there is only black screen apear on video.
- no gallery apps
- gyro dont work when playing game like homerun battle, nfs ****, etc.

2. for me temple RUN is not working

Yes, Yesterday I also faced some issue, when I tried to restore the backup of this ROM using CWM. MD5 CHecksum error
I did not faced any errors in Play Store except the Jinshaw security Guard crash error, that I already mentioned in the first post.

Sorry, Now I got your issue with package installer. It is when restoring or installing apps, the package installer fails, but apps installed.

1. Yes, Music player issue confirmed
2. For me Temple RUN is working better than any other ROM I have used. (At the first stretch I have scored more than 100000:fingers-crossed
3. Haptic feedback is working for me but the vibration level is very less, you cannot even notice.
Another issue that i face is getting my contacts sync from my gmail account. I have rinstalled the ROM twice and it while syncing the contacts I get the error "Unfortunately the processcom.google.process.gapps has stopped". Can any one help...It is an amazing ROM and has become my fav only in couple of hrs...I dont want to move away from it...if I get a fix for it...ready to stay with this ROM.

This is weird. I dont have any issues in contact syncing from my gmail. Did you tried a clean install. And also do not try to restore the apps with dat using TB.
Hi Ibhi...Thanks for the response...But I am still try to find a fix for this issue. Once found will everyone know in the forum in case they have the same issue. And unfortunately I use TB...I have tons of data backed up in TB

Get all *.td and *.db files from the original rom. Contact sync and some google play, and weather problem will be solved.

I dont facing any issue when Wifi on then backlight goes off, and then I can open lock screen as usual
Now I combine this ROM with supercharger v6 and the result is Great , smooth.
Only the font size which is cannot be changed.
This rom is stable enough for daily use

For some chinese app you can use translated app from either CK's .35 based rom or FR's .32 based ROM.... figure out which are those apps and replace it with your app from system/app folder
@ noobcuber Sidekick app for which will help you to make chinse manage app to english. Refer my linked post
@GUNDUL46 you can use System UI file from the attachments from same post to get Extended setting work like center clock with your ROM. Sorry I have not used it and still commenting on this part ... I am downloading it

WiFi work great with ROM ... only has SOD issue and I think its because of Edowar Kernel. I will change and update...
Meanwhile some need to update about ROM
1. some of the patented MIUI apps were missing like Firewall, Monitor and MIUI torch ... I added them even added Talk.apk
2. Calender and Sidekick.apk are in Chinese... sidekick successfully replaced but not able to change Calder language

Auto-zipalign and defragdb on boot
Auto Calibration on boot. Only does a few programs each boot. So may take a few reboots to calibrate all of them.
Plus many improvements taken from this thread + many others.
I also added some terminal commands.
Run each command with SU first then the command.
fixfc - Fix apps force closing.
sclean - Clean the dalvik cache and cache partition
v6 - run the V6 SuperCharger script. I have tested this but it seems to make no improvements.
Know bugs
Not a bug as such but something you should be aware of. It does take a few reboots to optimise all the apps.
On first boot you need to hold down the power button to reboot the phone (I normally do this at the setup screen). You only have to do this once and will reboot fine afterwards.
Any more issues please report them.

i dont know why i should come back to old android version !!
but anyway i'll try it , and the most important thing to me , is camera quality
Camera dies after the first photo and you have to reboot the phone.
New version out!
Based on CARBON-JB-v1.8-i9300 and replaced the camera app. See OP for details.

Minor bug fixes and speed improvements, and updated system apps to latests versions.
Now testing but it seems like this is nice smooth and fast rom. Im surprised that isnt here more conversations about it...maybe it is so perfect I will post more experiences later...thanks pinguy1982!

After one day testing i must agree...everything is working perfectly, smooth and the battery life is great! How often will be released a new version? Or is possible to implement OTA? Thanks

I tried wifi direct and NFC with Beam are not working OR im doing something wrong.
I will wait what writes pinguy1982...maybe he has a sollution. Anyway for almoast one year i did not use these features...
