Messed up recovery.. - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I was installing clockworkmod on the ace and after installing, it would no longer boot into recovery. After booting into the phone, I tried to boot into recovery and the phone would not boot too. However, I am not able to turn on the phone after that and boot in to android. Any ideas??? Thanks

Lol this is my first time using Odin.. I have Odin3 1.85 installed.. How do I use it?

Update odin... then download the cwm for odin that should be cwm.md5 or something like that... no needs to get back to stock... use one package setting and then press start...

clock work mod

I am running serendipity 6.3 I updated my rom manager premium. I hit flash cloworkmod recovery then I hit reboot in to recover. This brings me to the 3e recover screen. Then I can't reinstall packages because my power button is not working and it says verification error so I have to pull my battery then I use the 3 button fix to get me to recover mode again but this time I am in 2e recovery and everything goes good.

So you shouldnt use ROM Manager to install Cognition 4.3 since it uses Cog Kernel? You should just manually boot into recovery and do it that way?

You shouldn't use rom manager for anything anymore other than to get the update.zip on your phone. Once you have the new recovery then just keep that on your phone and you just boot into recovery without rom manager.

Did he flash GB bootloaders as mentioned in instructions?
If he has ROM running I see no reason why he cant enter recovery mode. Tell him to try entering recovery mode using button combo
Not sure about bootloaders. His phone is working he just cant get to rec.mode?? The 3 button method does not work either. Is there a way to do a hard reset?

Any fix well require odin since recovery is unavailable.
He can either flash back to stock, or download bootlloaders and upgrade those. either way, odin.

It doesn't boot??
& you say every time I install recovery??
Didn't get your problem.
Please elaborate
I got your problem ! Hoping that you meant to say that you aren't able to boot into recovery after flashing cwm, I say, just flash stock via odin, place the cwm 5.0.2.6 file on your sd, reboot into stock recovery, choose install update from sd, browse & flash cwm.zip & reboot. You must be able to get the cwm recovery the next time you try to boot into recovery...

Install stock recovery again and try installing CWM again.
You can find stock recovery thread in Android Development section of SGA
Yep I did that. But evry time I install cwm 5.0.2.6 recovery I have to odin flash it because I can never go back into recovery again. Although cwm 6.0.0.1 or Cwm 6 I forgot what it is, works on my phone.
