Geo Taggin on Hero Camera help

I've enabled it but it doesn't look like its doing any thing No GPS location no way of clicking on photo then settings to show a "map" to see from where pic was taken... Even uploaded it to Picasa and FB thinking maybe it would there and nothing...

enable Geo tagging and you have to have the GPS enabled. IF you are using the hero rom then I believe the app footprints and that widget has been removed. You wont see location info in the gallery. Try uploading the picture to Picasa and on the right you should see the location (if it tagged it right) there are also other sites you can upload to .. but I cant remember them now. See how that works

You happen to know which Hero Rom still has Footprints in it? I thought i saw one did but forgot which one. Thanks for the help

well the DrizzyDrake build USED to have it .. but they removed it several builds ago .. guess it was some recource hog. I dont know about the other hero builds though ... Fatal1ty or something like that .. may have it in theirs BUT I dont think that build is really setup for the G1 .. and I have like 14MB free after that build and no appstosd with that one. Not too sure about the others.

The footprint app. Ya widget may drain bat major but if i install just the app it shouldn't unless im using it.

you wouldnt think .. but I`m sure that there are probbly some background processes going on too ... may be able to get away with installing the .apk for the footprints app ... but not too sure if its just that easy .. there may be a lot more files to add to different parts of the update and may have to be resigned and all that stuff ... I would go into Justanotherdevelopers thread and ask if he could put it back in ...

[APP] Retab - Reader for tablets

I released my first app designed for honeycomb. It is a google reader client. I have just started on this one and is my first Android / Java project. Lots of new features are pending to come, together with complete google reader integration. It is mature enough for everyday use and supports all necessary basic features.

Wow pretty nice reader and quick too!... anyway to share articles? Also the built in browser can't open the feed. Says page cannot be displayed... but a real good start I must say... one question, can we add our own feeds not to Google reader?

oh ! Retab requires a google account to be configured on your xoom. Support does not exist to key in username & password yet. Do you have one.. ?

Thanks, I really like this app. Do you plan to support folders inside other folders? Right now all items within all subfolders of a given folder display when that folder is opened. I'd prefer if, instead, they were grouped by and shown within their individual subfolders.

Glad you like it.. Sorry I am not clear what you are asking for... When you click home all the top level subscription folders are shown. You can instead click on the top level tabs to choose any 1 particular folder and go to a particular feed if necessary. Also google reader only supports 1 level of grouping currently.

Love the concept and really am looking forward to seeing the full potential of this app.

big plus is greader sync and the 300kb it only needs...keep on rocking!

Awesome app,syncs very quickly with nice UI. My only suggestion would be to add a sync button while browsing a topic.

I like the app and it works well except some of my feeds arent in a specific folder. On other google reader apps for honeycomb these feeds do show up but they do not on yours. Anyway you can get this fixed?

Wow love the UI. Working great so far!
Only thing would be to open in external browser as built in one seems a little glitch.

[UI] Back to the Future / Transformers (last one recently added)

Hi there,
Have made some custom UI sounds and "share" is the word :
The Back to the Future Pooley's flavored lil' Pack !
You have to :
- unzip,
- place the folder at root of SD Card,
- Replace the default UI sounds by these ones (in system/media/audio/ui) via Estrongs or Solid Explorer (Root access needed)...
- Reboot,
- Enjoy !
- Lock/Unlock Back to the futur Custom D)
- Dock/Undock (FL Studio 9 fragrance for those of you who are using this software)...
- Keyboard Beeps (Delete|Return|Spacebar|Standard)
- Camera Beep (nice one !)
- Battery low Dark deep sound
(Hey keep in mind you might not like it, so backup your default UI folder first !)
So... Like it or not ?
If you want some crazy sounds wait for it I'll upload here some I have on my phone ... Do not hesitate to share your sounds too !!
My sounds are all edited with Sony Sound Forge Pro 10 (... fade OUT and tweaked for better render !)
Edit UI.zip v0.2:
Modify the Lock.ogg by adding some silence at the and of the sequence (don't know if it's kernel related but Lock sound was not played its all length, and sometimes it was...).
Edit 2 :

I renamed ‘Unlock.ogg’ and ‘Lock.ogg’ to ‘Unlock.ogg.bak’ and ‘Lock.ogg.bak’ and copied your lock and unlock files (Transformers) in the folder and reboot the phone, but I have no sound.
I can't to play this files when they are in "\" but I can to play the original files (and I can play the files when they are in "\sdcard").
I use ES Explorateur.

I did :-/

I just installed and can verify it works.
edit: it requested an odd permission (sj), i am not sure what that stands for, so I denied it.
edit2: I am assuming the permission was for cloud access
edit 3: "If your music doesn't sync after installing, simply head into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and clear data. Should work after that."

Works well for me. It probably wont be a regular use app for me but it is better than music 3 was.

Yea, been using it since last night quite often and no problems to report. I like the navigation a lot more than the previous version.
Only concern is the permission it requested. Not sure what 'sj' means....could be a test build thing.
They also released a new version of Google + from ICS which requests the same permission.

1st off thx for sharing. Works great both a jvq and jvt roms as well, love the new navigation. The disc view is what I'm missing from it and also it would be cool if they added tag editor and artwork edit support. I know it's still a leaked vs so who knows what the final vs will feature, 'til then playerpro is whats's rockin' my tunes.

Supposedly, you can dl a 3rd party eq from the market and it integrates with the app. Here's a comment from the android police post. For me, I don't need one because I'm on CM7 which comes with DSPManager
Download Equalizer from the Market, my Google Music when I press Menu, Sound Effects it automatically opens that app as if it were part of it without asking what app to use. That was on 3.0.1 though, haven't tried with this one yet.

[SystemUI/Framework-res]Pantech Burst Users.:D

A few member in the burst thread know about what I have done SystemUI wise to give us a little bit of that Stock ICS flare. After so I did the same with the framework-res. Well here is a thread dedicated just to that. I hope you enjoy. These do work! I use them myself. Screen shots shall be uploaded sooner or later for proof. Disclaimer: I am not responsible if something goes wrong. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP, just in case.
Below is my 4th revision of a SystemUI: Signal bar, bluetooth, wi-fi, silent, vibrate and battery is changed to stock ICS blue.

instructions: for ease do this.
Of course rename the file back to "SystemUI.apk".lol don't want a awkward situation.In the directory of where you would adb your device place this in the directory and navigate to the folder where said file would be located type.
- adb remount (remounts device and can give permissions)
- adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app/SystemUI.apk
--Should move accordingly. Then this.
- adb shell
- su
- reboot
SystemUI is finished!!!
Below is the modified framework-res. The toggle switches for like wifi and bluetooth in the settings menu is changed. The spinner icon for when your phone shuts off is changed. the scrubber when you use your volume control is changed. The USB, ADB, Dload/Uload is changed.

Instructions: Move the file to your directory where your android stuff is on your computer like for systemUI.

Don't forget the scrubber animation on the volume switcher.

I will upload more screenies for you to post of gizmo. Will be later today as xda is being a fart nugget.

I noticed that too.. I really do not know what happened at that point... Something may have went wrong when I was switching out the scrubbers... No idea. I will look into it when I get home from work. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No inconvenience, just wanted to mention it in case you hadn't seen it and want to fix it.
Looks like the bar is not in the same place on the Y axis as the original, and it's redrawing a blank page after looping, which causes the jump. guessing

The download is the original. I believe it is just a issue with the phone because when I was tinkering with drop down alittle bit it started that. And I will definitely look into fixing it. It isn't a major issue. I mean. I never pay attention I just look for complete and not installed lol. At the moment I'm working on changing apk icons for our phone and editing the framework for the dialer. It is really ugly in my opinion.

Actually the stock dialer (and phone.apk, incoming call screen, etc.) will not scale to my resolution (192dpi), so if you have a way to fix this, it would be major! Using Go Contacts (and dialer) EX as a substitute, which works but is very slow.

Get exDialer and get the ICS theme for it. I like it alot better in my opinion. And I got a request to cook up a rom. I'm implicating a lot of the stuff you have seen throughout the thread. Stock ICS apps, my systemUI and framework.
Should have the ROM uploaded sometime today!

Yes that's what I have but it is very slow. Loading the dialer/phone app is very, very slow, same for contacts.
While you're building something new, the AOSP lock screen would be killer, and the dialer & phone apps need to be reverted to stock. Those are some of the biggest problems with the Burst stock ICS IMHO.

I actually found where our lockscreen lurks. Took me 4 hours to find it. And the dialer and contacts... I have the Stock ics apps for it.. I have tried alot of ways. But I can not get them to work to save my life.
And I'm actually done building. Just a matter of uploading the rom.
Stock ICS contacts and dialer. Ours has so much that they do not so it will be tricky to revert but I will keep fooling with photoshop and see what I can do.

Yes, I did the same thing, and had the same kind of success rate (zero). Couldn't get stock ICS dialer and contacts to work.
