Sudden wake up seems like a broken app issue. If you reflashed ROM and the issue persist, that problably means you didn't make "clean install" i.e. didn't wipe all system partition, factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik.
If you indeed made clean install but still have the problem, try fixing permissions at recovery. Also try installing app that tells you which app keeps waking device (GSam Battery Monitor or Better Battery Stats), and uninstall that app. I had similar issue, caused by CPU Control app - which crashed during one reboot. It was waking devide while trying to adjust governor/clocks.
If that don't help try to reflash ROM again (ensuring you make clean install) but don't install any apps. Try most minimalistic ROM you can find - without any stock apps.

I lose my settings after every reboot

I've recently flashed a new rom (rocket rom v10). Did a full wipe before that, so I used titanium backup to restore apps and data. But I recently found out that every time I reboot, I lose settings/data. For example, my user dictionary gets wiped. I also use power strip, and my configuration for that also disappears. I've tried reinstalling that app but that didn't fix it so I know its not that.
Any help would be appreciated.
Have you tried wiping cache as well? And starting from 0? And then move something and then restart again and then see if that fixed it. If it does then restore. And if it keeps resetting after that then something is corrupted.

[Q] CM9 Reboot Issue

I just installed CM9 via the Novacom2 method. The tablet seems to reboot itself after a few minutes of being booted up for no apparent reason. I can start up the device, and not even touch one thing, and after a bit it will self reboot.
Anyone experiencing this? Should I do a reinstall? Novacom2 method, or a complete factory reset with CWM?
CM9 runs extremely smooth otherwise, but I can't have it up for more than 5 minutes with a self reboot. It's bizarre.
Thanks in advance people...
I meant ACMEInstaller2 where I wrote Novacom2 ....
The only time I got random reboot is if I try to overclock. I went to replace CWM with TWRP today, and checked in CPUspy something quick. I had 36 hours of up time (remember this only dropped 4 days ago). Initially I tried to OC, even only going one step up I got freezes, and reboots. But leaving it at stock frequencies I have zero stability issues.
I would say to start fresh. With a fresh downloaded copy. Go into CWM and wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache, advanced > wipe dalvik, mounts > format system, data, cache, then reinstall, and install the charge fix. Then don't restore anything, and see if that fixes it.

that may be the route I go. After about 15 reboots it is currently holding steady I have not made any interventions.
As a side issue, I get email notifications but the email app crashes upon opening. Gmail works fine though....

Try fixing permissions and wiping up cache from CWM, that fixes the reboots after power-on for me.
It used to do it if I left the screen to go off, but is fine now
I too am having reboot issues, but it only happens when I'm doing something. So far trying to open the Photoshop PS Touch app will cause a reboot, clicking settings in boat browser, etc. It's strange as hell.
I as well get the stock android mail client crashing when opened but its notifacations and gmail all work. I just installed maildroid and disabled stock email and seems to work OK

I have the same issue, but normally when the screen is on, it always reboots when I try to connect to usb storage, I have a galaxy s2 running on stable(nightly had too many bugs). anyone has the same problem?
I usually get reboots when I let the screen turn off due to inactivity. I tried installing TWRP and doing a clean install from there but it rebooted at the setup screen for CM9. I've had reboot issues since I first installed CM9, but its improved a little bit. I did try uninstalling android completely then reinstalling, but still got reboots. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
I think the best thing to do is use ACMEUninstaller to complete remove Android from your TP, then reinstall from scratch. I had reboot issues after upgrading from CM7a2 until I did a complete wipe.

[SOLVED] reset settings on reboot

I've tried searching around threads for similar problems but I couldn't find something quite exact like mine.
Well I'm running a Jellybeer rom now and before that I was running CM9 and then AOSP beerbong rom.. This problem I noticed when I was switching from the AOSP rom to the AOKP rom by the same developer. I followed all The instructions, did factory wipes etc. And then once on the jellybeer rom I just did the cache wipes as required for rom updates. I am also using titanium backup pro to back up and restore the "user apps with data". The problem is :
Every time I reboot my phone:
1)launcher is set to stock.
2) when I activate the nova launcher the widgets have to be restored.
3) lock screen widgets are gone.
4) SwiftKey 3 dictionary has to be updated or it doesn't recognise the old one.
5) randomly during the startup i get this random vertical black bar towards the right or left of the screen for a second or two and it seems to be like a glitch. I've got the soft keys / navigation bar enabled. Before when then rom had transparent soft keys, they would become opaque after this glitch appeared.
6) accessibility options like notifier pro and dash clock are also reset to "off " after reboot but once I enable one of them all of them come Back on as well.
I have tried clearing logs and caches with "sd maid" and I thought It was a bug in the rom, but after many updates, this is still there. No one seems to be having the same problem as me in the rom development thread.
There was this one time when my phone crashed and showed the roms booting screen and once the system was loading, it looked like how the phone is supposed to boot up with all my widgets, launcher, dictionary etc.
This is quite frustrating as every reboot I have to reconfigure my phone partially.

Thanks, for now it seems to be normal. Only I see that black bar on boot. That could be something to do with the rom, I will be moving this to the solved section for now.
If anyone is interested, I backed up my user apps using guide which is linked above and then I proceeded with the factory wipe and then I restored my apps and made sure the main apps that were restarting were kept on the internal memory.
Thanks once again for helping me solve my issues. It's what a relief to reboot without having the headache of setting everything again. Even SwiftKey is working fine. Even though I'm using the older version of it.

HELP: com.android.systemui in FC loop

I have ViperOne 4.2 rom installed with latest fw, radio and Elemental X kernel 10.10.1. I have this setup now for about 2 weeks or so and have not changed anything on my phone drastically or have installed any new software etc.
Today all of a sudden my phone rebooted and once it did i am greeted with the message that Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped. When i click ok the UI seems to reboot itself quickly but then i get the same error message again and again after repeating these steps.
I have restarted my phone several times, even booted into safe mode only yet the same error keeps comming up again and again.
Can anybody advise what the problem could be or what to do to make it stop?
Worst case scenario i can restore from a Nandroid backup but i would prefer not atm as i'd rather know what is causing this problem.
Any help would be appriciated!
Great. I tried to delete the cache in recovery just as a try. When i rebooted i was greeted by stockish type of welcome screen with setup your phone info. So i went back to recovery to try restore the nandroid backup which is on my phone. After some time TWRP sais "Restore failed".... never had that before either.... wonderfull...
So this day just keeps getting weirder and weirder. While trying to somehow restore my nandroid (which still does not work btw) when i go to power off my phone via TWRP it sais no SU is installed and it seems i do not have root permissions.
Which is very odd because i am S-OFF, SuperCID for quite some time now....
What the hell is going on today? Meh...
I had the FC in com.android.systemui too, but so far i did`t have the issue with restoring. Would be also thankful for further advise...
Anybody an Idea?

if you're using a custom rom try a 'dirty' flash (flash without wiping). That fixes most of these types of FCs without losing any data.
I am using the Viper 4.3 ROM, was choosing to NOT install some of the Apps that would be included on a regular install - maybe this causes the FC. I try without removing these applications. Thanks for your advise! :good:

[Q] My phone has strange reboots...

Hi! I'm going to explain this situation (sorry, but I'm using the translator for this )
I've been using CM12.1 for some time (almost a year), and the only issues I had were restarts for RAM saturation, but one day, then one of those restarts started happening every 5 minutes. I thought maybe some app was the cause, and I started uninstalling the ones I could at the time it worked normal, but when I tried to uninstall the Twitter app, I realized that the problem started there. Immediately restarting, so I decided to freeze the app with LuckyPatcher. So far so good, but today I tried to upgrade to CM13, but I could not get into TWRP, I had to flash CWM, but when I tried to give a factory reset it was reset to "format / data". All other partitions are formatted, but Data is the only one that is giving me that problem.
What's going on???
