Sigh. Archer's already got a thread of his own. Please use that as I'm sure he hangs on every word said in there!

My 10,000th was moving a thread in the Droid X forum. It really should have been a closing statement in here. Thanks for the effort

XDA is a development forum...

...not a complaint forum. Go somewhere else please. I can't read topics about my Nexus 7 because this section and Q&A, even Development are flooded with complaints. We could use a moderator over here. The Inspire section used to be like this but was cleaned up. This is a development forum for devs, not a woe is me forum. See the name, XDA-Developers?

XDA has evolved into much more than a development forum. The development is now pigeon-holed to the Development section of each device. Check there.

This is the "General" board. If you are looking for the "Development" board, I found it here for you.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1677
Go into any other "general" forum. It is threads helping development, information, etc. Not baseless complaining. Straight from a moderator and from the XDA phone splash page: "XDA was founded by developers, for developers."

Go into any General forum of a device just released less than a month ago...

All new device forums start off like this. Maybe after another month or so, everything will clean up and people will stop complaining.

It a new toy, you get this on any forum witth new toys, give a few weeks and the whingers will have thrown the new toy out of the pram and moved onto something else. This forum has nothing on some of the Pro Photography forums where they gather to complain about the latest £10k pro camera and how its missing this or that and swamping the forums to the point that people who make a living from the things cant hear above the noise and dross.
On the bright side they all get board soon and move along to whing at something else.
PS. I can understand maybe you are sick of the complaints if you are device is fine, and most probably are fine. But ASUS brings this on themselves, almost every dang tablet they release seems to have a really rough first batch.
As Accused24 said, once people get their bad units replaced, the frustrated cries will die down.
Oh the irony of this thread is priceless.
No, I'm simply doing as romans do.

This is supposed to be a development forum.
This too.
The forum in which this thread is located is clearly marked "general" and part of a publicly registrable set of forums.
And this thread is deliciously ironic.
XDA...for developers by developers. If you actually read what mods have to say, terms of service, etc you'd understand that.

Lmao go to the evo shift forums. You can hear your blood flowing through you.
Don't feed the troll guys, he is whining about general topics then making his own whining topic

So apparently just because people flood other forums with complaints it is okay to do it and keep doing it here?
My advise, avoid Q&A and General section because people like to be boss and do what they like over the net.
What development have you actually contributed to XDA?

Complaining about complaints.
Works like a charm.
No really, I do get ur sentiment and I dont really mean to troll u. But im just sayin, posts like this do more harm than good.
Nothing in a while. A good bit for my old phones before I was on the Nexus forum. At this point, I wouldn't even post if it wasn't for the annoying basement dwellers on here flooding this forum with stupid crap.

The op needs to calm down, wait a month when this isn't a highly anticipated device. Then it will be normal, just like every new device

iPhone5 Battery Saving Comments

http://www.gottabemobile.com/2012/09/24/how-to-get-better-iphone-5-battery-life/
The article isn't that important (unless you own an iPhone5), but I found the second comment down pretty funny. Nowhere in the article or on the page itself is there any mention of anything android, yet that person decided that it was necessary to make mention of the "fact" that Androids use more battery.
Do you people ever read?

Not iPhone related enough to go on the xda iPhone forum, so it's just closed.

New guy checking in.

Just wanted to pop in and say hey, I have been lurking around for along time and finally decided to sign up and join in.
This is my first smart phone that I have ever attempted to root/unlock (note 2) and had absolutely no idea how to go about it, so after about a week of reading I finally took the plunge, and from guidance from you guys it was all worth it. So I just want to give a big Thanks to you guys for the videos, write ups and the time you guys spend doing what you do.
And if this us posted in the wrong place sorry. Thanks again guys.

Ten post rule, and why it's needed.
Like I said above, sorry if I posted in the wrong place. I didnt see the thread to post just to say hi. I also didnt start this thread to up my post count, but to say thanks for the work that these developers put in to their work. I posted in the off topic discussion because I thought it was off topic and by all means please move it to the right thread if it offends anyone.

If you want to Thank the dev, send him a PM or press the "thanks" button . Development threads are for, well development, just saying.

Chill guys... He is new to posting..
Madmanepic, if you was the first to get your hands on the N5 then this thread would be some what justified. Half the forum have received theirs so its pretty pointless making a new thread... Plus you can post this in the existing threads.
BTW welcome to the world of posting on XDA

I did not see a thread for this.
I saw a thread for photos. and i saw a thread bashing the camera.
Did not see a "I just got my phone thread."
Figured i would help people who had questions about the phone using prepaid service.
