hey guys,
Last night I was trying to unroot my IncS and now I am stuck at fastboot. I have searched a lot but not getting any good answer.
I was revolutionary s-off and on blackrose hboot-2.00.0002
The steps that I followed,
downloaded ICS WWE RUU.
got rom.zip
made PG32IMG.zip and flashed via bootloader.
I got the stock ROM and it booted fine. till now everything was right.
But now to remove blackrose hboot, I use blackrose installer only and it actually installed hboot-1.13. as far as I know ICS can't bootup with it.
but now since I am s-on, I am not able to flash anything and not able to boot up also - bootlooping through htc logo.
When I am trying to use official RUU - I am getting customer id incorrect error.
I am now willing to go again back to s-off but can't find a way. Please help.
Below is my phone info.

By removing BlackRose, it replaced your HBOOT with version 1.13.0000 which is not compatible with the stock ICS ROM. You should try to reflash the stock ICS ROM and you should be good to go. I would go ahead and use the PG32IMG.zip file again.
I tried PG32IMG.zip file again but I am getting cid error now, in bootloader.
So, I am unable to boot it.

CID ERROR = You need to use a goldcard to use the WWE ICS ROM.
came across that way but didn't had a card reader. doing it now.
cool!! my phone is up and running now - goldcard did help.
Thanks for the help.

after unlocking bootloader of my inc s via htcdev method and installed many different Roms without problems i accidentally managed to relock it with security warning when i tried to downgrade my hboot version with revolutionary (from hboot 2.00).
then i managed to unlock the bootloader again but this time i cant boot into rom at all. i tried flashing the rom again, the boot.img file but still i was stuck on the black screen with dark blue text : "android". i pull out the battery, i can go into hboot menu, and can get into recovery too but i dont know what to do to boot into the rom itself ??
any help would be appreciated. :crying:

OK, as I suspected, when you ran the downgrade script originally, it was able to modify the version-main to 2.00.000.0, so you can now RELOCK the bootloader and then run the downgrade RUU documented in the script procedure.
After that you should be good to run Revolutionary.io to gain S-OFF.
i relocked the bootloader then i ran the ruu file again
this time it waited like two mins, then
error 171, usb connection error
plz make sure my phone is turned on and connected properly
now what??
EDIT: now i am relocked without security warning
do i unlock the bootloader again using htcdev method?
EDIT: security warning reappeared

No, the bootloader needs to be RELOCKED to run a RUU.
Do you have HTC Sync running in the System Tray by any chance?
Also sounds like you probably just need to extract the ROM.zip from %TEMP% directory and copy it to your SD card and rename it PG32IMG.zip and let the bootloader flash the RUU/ROM.
ok i really didnt understand what u meant
can u plz explain a little bit more ?
htc sync is uninstalled and no its not there in system tray

Search this forum for "RUU ROM.zip PG32IMG.zip" and you can read and learn about what I'm talking about.
Here is one of the posts that you should find with that search:

Hey guys, I rooted my vivid and attempted to install 4.03 but it bricked my phone and I am stuck at the white screen with green Htc symbol. I try to reformat and accidentally wiped my OS. I have tried to download the stock RUU and install it through windows(htc_vivid_att_RUU_3.26.502.56_US) but it gives me an error -5001 : 0x80070002 while running setup.
I tried to relock bootloader and flash kernal to stock boot.img and flash ROM holiday_signed_121713_005938.zip through TWRN but it fails. What do I do?
Hboot- 1.83
I had the same problem what you do is make sure the boot loader is relocked than run the ruu file and it will detect your phone but you must be on fasboot USB. And the ruu file will do the rest.
Sent from my Vivid 4G using xda premium
I still get an error with the RUU installer after relocking and being in fastboot USB
I have updated Hboot to 1.85 and flashed wcxrecovery.img
When I try to flash from .zip in internal SD card, I get
file_getprop: failed to stat "system/build.prop" No such file or direc:unknown command [ctory]
E:Error in /interal_sdcard/OTA_Holiday_ICS_35_S_Cingular_US_3.26.502.56
Before I rooted or anything the phone was in Android 2.0.34 or something still in gingerbread.
Is the problem that I have wiped my OS so the .zip cannot install to any directories? When I mount my internal SD, there is no folders.
OK sorry about that. I will look into it and see what I can do to fix it for you. Cuz it seemed to work for me

I downloaded another PH359.img file and flashed it, successfully now back to stock Android 4.0.3.
Hello! I need a huge help with HTC One M7 stuck in bootloader.
The device is rooted and recently installed with custom ROM (fw 4.3) but then I had to unroot and get back to stock ROM for service warranty.
I was following this link to unroot my device: htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-to/return-your-rooted-unlocked-htc-one-back-factory-settings-for-warranty-repairs-0149204/.
All iz well except for the last step, loading the ROM and returning to stock. I initially intended to use the nandroid backup ROM (obtained thru TWRP) in recovery.
The problem now is that I can’t enter into recovery since the device is already locked and S-On. I also can’t find an exact RUU match.
Current device state is tampered, locked, S-On, and with security warning. Below is the device info:

there is also one on htc1guru.com
I've already tried running the Rumrunner but it can't detect the device.
I also checked the device via adb devices and nothing is listed.
Do you have any other suggestion?
I'm in the same boat. Has anyone found a solution?
EDIT: I found out I was flashing an RUU that was a lower version that what was on my phone. Flashed the correct RUU and everything fixed itself.

I tried everything i could find to go back to stock. I tried restoring a nandroid backup and then updating, i tried flashing RUU for my devices but that gives me an error everytime. I locked the bootloader and updating but that didn't do anything. I tried Stock ROM – Guru Reset but after OTA update to 4.4.2 the phone doesn't boot anymore.
Must be something i'm missing, there is allot of information about the One M7. Maybe there is a official rom that i could flash and go from there. Just want to have a stock rom with KK.
Thanks in advance.

you cant use the guru-reset file because the version is too low for your HBOOT, the updates are failing causing a boot loop because they are trying to downgrade your HBOOT, not possible with s-on.
the RUU is also a lower version than you are currently running, and as you are s-on, you cant downgrade.
the only way you can get back to stock now is too unlock your bootloader, flash twrp recovery 2.6.3.3 and download stock odexed 5.11.401.10 rom from here: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html
flash it through recovery, after its installed and your phone is set back up, if you want to be fully stock, download the recovery from the same page and flash that.
U can used firewater to get S-OFF and then used RUU.zip to return to stock
Link: http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/
I will try the solution Seanie280672 recomended. I can't get S-OFF for my device.

s-off is very hard with 1,57 hboot, some people are having success, most arnt still.
Yep. I'm one of those that get this: whelp, this sucks, firewater can not work on your device no amount of reflashing, retrying, or ruuing will fix...
BTW, thank you for your qiuck reply.

Yup, I used to get that message too, I got s-off in the end with a java card by taking my phone to these guys, they also have a mail in service if your in the EU and can live without your phone for a few days:
http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/Unlocking/htc_s-off_service.htm
Well if i can get it stock i will leave it like that. I had so much headache in last 2 days with this phone.
Worked like a charm. Seanie280672 thank you! You saved me.:highfive:
I wanted to GPE my HTC One m7. Having HBoot 1.57 made things a bit hard. I tried Moonshine, Revone, Firewater and Rumrunner, with no luck.
I decided I would pay for SunShine, but I needed a working system first. The various versions of the aforementioned tools were tested on a variety of roms and versions, which probably made this a real mess.
I ended up using this guide to get back to stock rom with stock recovery. (Apparently I am too noob to post links :-/ Here was a link to HTC1Guru "Reset to Stock for S-On")
It works. However, after applying the hotfix for a new system update, and rebooting, dowloading and installing the new update (4.4.3), I get stuck in a boot loop. My bootloader is unlocked, and I can flash a recovery. Booting up recovery while in this boot loop state gives me the phone with a red triangle warning sign on it.
My phone is S-On, HBoot 1.57, bought in Europe, using the *.*.401.* ROMs.
I've tried installing the stock 4.2.2 ROM twice and then applying update, no success. Any ideas on what I can do to get back to a stock phone, not in a boot loop?
Thanks in advance.

The reason it's bootlooping is because the updates that you are downloading are trying to update your hboot, but because you are already on the latest hboot they are failing.
Could you post your fastboot getvar all please without the imei and serial numbers please.

Ok, first thing is first, you will need twrp 2.6.3.3 recovery on your phone, once that's done, push or sideload the Rom linked below, it's full stock Rom 6.09.401.12 so just one above yours, then flash it like any other Rom.
