[APP PACK] XDA APP-PACK v1.1

Hello all,
I've thrown together an app-pack that includes apps that i see are necessary and important to have on my phone. I was getting very frustrated with constantly having to reinstall my apps after flashing a new rom on. So i decided to create a batch file that will allow you to install back all your apps very easily.
I know there are things such as ADB file explorer, but i think that this is a much simpler way of doing it. Its also very easy for me to add apps that you guys feel needs to be included.
Let me know what you guys think.

[Q] How to uninstall Pulse News app?

I mean the apk from Alfonso Labs.
As per title, for the life of me cannot unistall it, the option is greyed out.

you have to be rooted to do this , using app from the market to uninstall apps from the market . or maybe there is no need for root , u look for the market for this kinda of apps, .

I am rooted
tried:
1) easy uninstall
2) fast uninstall
3) root app remover.
Pulse doesn't even show up!

this is wired ... if you can see it on your Applications ...
go root explorer ... system\app , look for the name of the app ... delete this sucky ... if you can't delete it by root explorer .. its mean the app has MAGIC

It's a great app indeed, but c'mon! What's with refusing to be removed?!?

If its in system/app then you can't uninstall it. People would be able to uninstall their framework and ither vital things needed to keep the Tab alive

do not go through anything except apps ... and not all apps pls. if you don't want to end up in boot screen for a holy long weekend

I too would like to know the answer to this.

If you are rooted you can also use Titanium Backup to remove Pulse.

link2sd also works if you want to remove apps..worked to remove pulse news on my galaxy tab 10.1 and GT-B5512

Most files are flashable zip´s for recovery, they will install to system/app (and possibly overwrite old versions, i´ll keep standard name)
I test everything before i post here, but there´s no guarantee it will also work for you, don´t blame me ...
Apps like Gmail, Youtube, Maps are not included, just get them from market.

I tried to include everything useful (Basebands, Smartflash, NVFlash, Recovery, my Themes, Wallpapers, ...)

To preserve apps when flashing new CM :
create & put "custom_backup_list.txt" to "system/etc" folder on your phone BEFORE you flash new nightly.
apps that are included in this file will be backed up and preserve flashing of new ROM.
you can include apps, fonts, etc in this file, just edit it on your PC, or on your phone directly.
GAPPS (like market, etc...) will be backed up automatic, no need to include them in this file.
uploaded example file includes :

you can add anything you want, just keep the same structure ...

[REQ] Job Manager.apk of 4.0.4 RLG Please :'(

Hi, i messed up (i guess) a mod that installed the S3 task manager following a tutorial from an Spanish forum (btw i'm latin, so i did read well the steps). One of the steps was to delete the original task manager from the ROM, so i did it. In the end, i have the s3 widget, but when I tap it, the manager gets FC'd. Also, the manager isnt in the app drawer.
So please someone with the 4.0.4 RLG Rom with Root explorer, etc. could make a copy of the apk from system/app and pass me in PM or GDrive, Dropbox, etc.

UPDATE: After 4 reboots, It works both the S3 task manager and the widget, but no luck appearing in the app drawer, which i didnt use it anyway xD but just in case case i need the stock apk.

Do you have the ROM file ? If you have you can do it yourself. Just Extract it and go to app and copy any apk which you require and push it to your phone under System>app

If your fone is rooted, install Rom Toolbox from playstore.
1.Open rom toolbox.
2.go to app manager
3.tap on magnifying glass and search for "themes"
4.scroll down till you see "theme" and "theme store"
5.select both and tap on "freeze"
By doing this you can keep the free trial permanently on your phone.
NOTE: Make sure to apply the theme's free trial and complete the above process within 4 minutes.

I don't think this process works anymore. I think a recent update removed the ability to merely freeze (and thus non root options like package disabler pro)
Edit: I did some research and now you have to delete the cache and data of themes after freezing

Can you explain better please?

can one of you provide the APK and just sent a pm to me if that's possible? the theme looks great :good: theme store wont let me find it there...

For non rooted galaxies
Download Package disabler pro apk ,install it and grant the permissions
Now download your favourite paid theme from theme store and start its free trial.
Now open Package Disabler pro
Search theme
Two apps will be displayed
Open both of them one by one
Clear the data
Tap on disable
