Bberry bold unlock code

Impossible to do it easy. Is there anywhere to do it for free? Or where is the cheapest? Verizon won't do it because it's not active

i think the only way to unlock it is to reactivate the phone by calling #228 (on the phone you want to activate) and entering your phone # and then it will ask for the last 4 digits of your SS#. Once it's active on your number, call verizon with that phone and ask them if they can unlock your phone because you're going out of the country. they should give you a code to use to unlock it, then you can reactivate your old phone by calling #228 again
PS i wouldn't trust those sites that say they will give you an unlock code for $25 or however much they charge...smells like BS to me

Unlock as in sim unlock? Afaik doesn't matter. You can sim unlock an unrooted phone and vice versa

What are the steps and which tools is needed ?

Sim unlocking has to be done with a code. Find a cell repair store near you and ask about sim unlocking. It'll probably cost 20-30 bucks. You can also try some online stores, google xt860 sim unlock. Rooting you can do yourself. If you are on android 2.3.4 you can use Pete's one.click found in the dev section. I'm not sure if it works on the new 2.3.6, but if not search for zergrush. Or find my thread labeled "The xt860, custom roms and you" I've linked to zergrush in there. If you are new to all this may I suggest you spend some time reading various threads and make sure you read directions before attempting anything. If your unsure just ask rather than rushing in and bricking your phone.

Ya you need a code. I was unable to unlock mine. Tried a online service which eventually emailed me back saying they could not find a code. Full refund though. Also tried a store but they could not find a code either. Code is specific to your IMEI which is a number specific to your device. But I know others have successfully unlocked theirs. Also unlock my kill your 3g but there is a fix somewhere on here. We can find it of you need it. But for sure best thing you can do is read and educate as much as you can about your device before rooting.

I used mobileincanada.com twice and that seemed to have worked.

i know verizon will unlock your phone for free. Im not sure about other providers but if you tell your provider your going out of country on business and would like to use your own simcard while away, they will usually allow this as long as you you say your "keeping" your contract with them

[Q] HELP HOW TO UNLOCK "NETWORK LOCK bY SMART" in SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE

Please help me solve my problem because it lock in Smart simcard only....I want to openline my Samsung Galaxy Note so that I can use it with other simcard. Especially now that I'm here in Saudi Arabia. I can't used the simcard here.

Try 1 of the Galaxy S Unlock apps from Android Market. Or search for an online service that will provide you with the code.

You need to contact Smart and request a sim unlock code, which I think won't be cheap. Or you can try some online unlocking, they'd get you the code for a fee which is usually lower than what most networks charge. Check this thread;

This morning somehow i locked my phone by puk. Now i can use only dial keyboard and emergency code. I know my puk1 code, but i dont know how to enter it. Thanks in advance.

[Q] About unlocking

One month ago I bought a note n7000 on O2 UK, I bought through www,cellunlocker,net an unlock code,
They sent me the codes, unlock, network, defreeze, ect....
I tried with GB the four methods they say, and inpossible unlock. Later I tried with ICS, and just the four method ask me for the unlock code, but when I introduce it, the phone says unlock not succesful.
I went to a unlock shop and after 5 hours, they return me the phone, because they say, they can't unlock the phone as well. They don't know what kind of problem to unlock it has the phone.
Anybody with the same problem? Because I don' think that my phone is the special one of Samsung.
Any help will be grateful.

It might be easier to get o2 to provide you with the unlock code

I also got note as upgrade from o2, same day i ask o2 for unlocking code the send code via e-mail after 7 days.
