So, I've had a stagnant playlist for a week or two now and could use the help of all of you down here at the gates of madness known affectionately as Off-Topic.

Yeah I spend a lot of time on Pandora and LastFm, they're great and all but I was looking more for everyone's favorites or maybe largely unknown bands I might not have heard of. Specifically interested in what you like personally

Yes, and YES! I also like Chevelle most of it although I havent spent much time listening to their new stuff.
Thank you all for the replies! I was kind of hoping more for links to specific songs or at least maybe an artist and song title (probably should've been more specific in OP, I've edited it now XD). I have almost 1000 songs on my sd card and I think I need to clean it up and add some stuff I've never listened to before. So let's do this, let the song links and titles flow!

All of those are great bands, I especially LOVE Jimi Hendrix. Not to be mainstream but "All Along the Watchtower" is one of my absolute favorite songs, one of them (I have SO many). Anyway, thank you and link up a song from one of those you consider one of your favorites.

Not sure what you hold dear, if anything, but can you keep some good thoughts for this guy, please? + Alex Hernandez. One of very few in this world who I will say is an absolute nice and genuine person. He is a very special kind of fella, one you don't see around much anymore. Kinda like Dirk, just a good guy. He's in the hospital right now. Maybe the good thoughts of us will bring something to him.

I just found this thread......a huge thanks to all who sent thoughts and prayers my way.
I spent nearly 5 months in the hospital and had 4 surgeries but I am doing WAY better now. Thank God!
So thankful for peeps like you ALL who prayed and sent positive vibes my way.....thank you thank you thank you.

And if the OP is really certain that he is correct then he should go to the bookies and put all his money on the world not ending. If he is wrong he'll be atoms and if he's right then he will get his money back plus whatever odds they give him.

I think people think that if someone uses the search bar the world will end. I personally don't believe in that, but it seems people are scared that it will end the world.

I never 'ditched' school but I always hated Swedish. Man I hate the language(no offense brothers from Sweden). I never ever needed the language in my life so I just kept getting low scores in exams and I never read it home.

Yeah, swedish sucks, norwegian is much cooler
I ditched school when i started with mechanics and stuff like that. I like stuff like that (engineering and so on), but i just got sick and tired of everything, so i jumped off the wagon. Not the smartest thing i've done, but i did it and that's just life.
And since i'm here..
Favorite classes:
- Physics & chemistry (fun)
- English (i'm using it now, so.. success?)
- Norwegian (...)
Hated:
- German (i regret not taking it seriously now)
- Math (i wasn't bad at it, but not my cup of tea)
- Gymnastics (i love working out, but damn..)

Girlfriend troubles.

@OP in relationship there is always ups and down i think your just going thru a down moment how often do you see her ? That makes a difference because if you barely see her she will feel like its nothing too serious so she will allow herself to get tipsy or whatever ..
I think you could give her a last chance always try before quitting.

Guy, if you ain't ready for some trolling, don't make a thread in OT For OP, considering you're ages, long distance and there way she has disregarded your feelings, I say it's time to move on.

I think if it's bad enough she's landing in the hospital, she needs professional counselling. Mistakes happen, but if this is a real substance abuse issue, that **** is serious. People can get that under control, but usually not on their own. I don't know her, so I don't know how bad it is.
Other than that, I guess it depends on how serous a relationship is. I'm a worrier, myself, but if she's not cheating or something I don't see the big deal apart from the potential alcoholism. I mean, I get drunk - it's not a permanent thing, it wears off, it's not like it changes who I am forever (or really at all).
My only worry is the potential for substance abuse. Maybe the ER visit can be a wake-ep call if her family and friends can get together and make sure she understands the serious nature of abusing alcohol.
I dunno. I'm a biology major. I know about cells and ****. *shrug*

She's great and definitely not an obuser. She says it will never happen again but then again what was she expecting in the first place? She knows she has the option to choose and be single, but she wants to be with me more than anything and yet she still goes to parties. I'm sure there's a lot she doesnt tell me because she knows what upsets me. I just can't get over the terrible feeling I got when her friend called in the middle of the night, that's nothing like her. I had a bad feeling about it even before she went.

Your blinded by your emotions. None of us want to believe someone we love is an abuser. But from a guy who abused drugs and alcohol for years, I'm sorry, she has a problem. Its escalating and will only get worse .If you really care about her, help her get help for her alcoholism.

1. Drop out of high school
2. Get a GED
3. Enroll at her college
4. Get super trashed with her

She's just a freshman... I doubt she's past the point of no return...

I'm going to give her another chance. I can't imagine being without her. She is nowhere near that, I would know. I would never let it get to that point.
I dont believe in 3d chances, I hope it's worth it.

Precisely why she should get help right now. She is no where near the point of no return. The younger you get it, the better for one in the long run.

Reboot into recovery and restore your NANDROID backup.

You need to do what u want bc when u get to college you are gona forget about her. Im not some kid telling you dumb crap im 34 and ive seen it and been through it.
