CONFIRMED! Blurex Case for Nexus 7

Message: I had an HTC Flyer and i bought the Blurex case for it. I thought
it was the best case for any tablet.

I saw that too. Since they won't be available for 2 weeks, I can assure you that definitely isn't the price nor the correct one for the Nexus 7. It's just some dude selling the thing for over inflated prices. Probably because he saw people buying the IO version of the nexus for $500.

I don't like the way most cases envelop the tablets, like the one in the above link.
Blurex one uses a different method. See the one for the Flyer. (I had the one with out the stylus holder)

That HTC flyer case has a different style than the Blurex case you mentioned, which on Amazon, also has velcro feet.
The HTC case uses grooves for its multi-angle points..Grooved designs are poor because a simple bump will knock your tablet down.

That is the one that I have. I bought it from Amazon.com. But I have the first gen one without the stylus holder. I didn't use the stylus so the two loops to hold the stylus didn't matter to me.
At night, I had it next to my bed and watched videos on it and I bumped it a lot and it never once knocked down. They aren't some flimsy case.
But, nonetheless, the people who like Blurex cases will be glad to know that Blurex confirmed that they will make this type of case.

You made your point in your OP . I myself was also in the market for this exact same style design with the velcro feet so the tablet doesn't slip. I contacted another manufacture and was bumed to hear they weren't making a case with that design for the Nexus 7 at this time. I was just point out other options given Amazon obviously has an incorrect price for your Blurex case. Which, if it turns out to actually be $29.99 ... the link I mentioned so happens to be $15 .. just sayin...

THEY AREN'T EVEN FOR SALE YET. The one on AMAZON IS NOT FOR THE NEXUS 7 even though he says so.
Some people need to just buy an iPad and follow the trail to Cupertino... Jeesh.

The Price was changes since I posted it.

i have the open blurex case for me iconia . i THINK its great does not add as much weight. the tablet will slip out in second as well as free access to all the ports and it does not hide the look of the device. Awesome Quality . Will get the same for my nexus When its available and i get the device .

Back to the original topic I emailed blurex to see if the cover will have the smart cover feature (since it is not mentioned in the feature list from Google I wanted to make sure they were tracking it).
Here is the response I got from them...

*REAL* Blurex Case released!

I just received this email directly from Alex at BlurexUSA. He had promised to let me know when these cases were available. There have been SEVERAL fake Blurex cases for the N7, they were NOT real sadly. This one is the first, one and only true Blurex case for the Nexus 7 and even better they have it up for 6 dollars! Normally I pay 30 for Blurex! Enjoy guys!
EDIT: Actually I have been told there was at least one of these *fake* items that was in fact a pre-order to the real case. So even though it was only released today, they have been purchased. So if on the top of the page it says you've already ordered this item, then you are good. Though I would suggest ordering at least 1 more while they are 6 bucks!!

Yeah because some people called the company and were told the case had not been released yet. Therefore everyone thought that the case was either fake or intended for another device and then relabled by a dishonest re-seller. But now it is "released" and it's officially a nexus 7 case made by Blurex.

But unfortunately that one that you suggest is not the great Blurex Case (like I had for the HTC Flyer).
This one does not cover the bezel!
I just got an updated email from Alex at Blurex and the one like I am looking for, will take just a little longer. He provided the link on Amazon for it.

Digging that one, i was starting to fear they would not be making one like that. Oh well, cancelled my *second* Blurex order. So I have the 6 dollar case coming and I will buy this one when it is released Thanks for the find!

But its not sold by Amazon or Blurex themselves, its sold by some random seller in the OP link so I wouldn't take the risk

Blurex doesn't have a store on their website. They are in Taiwan. They offer their items through authorized amazon dealers. The only way to ever buy their stuff is through sellers like that. This link was given DIRECTLY to me by Alex from BlurexUSA. It's legit.

I hope they're actually making that case specifically for the Nexus 7...because based on the speakers I can see in that picture (and the bulky thickness), that's a Kindle Fire (hoping it's just a placeholder image until they get an actual product in production). I have a Marware case for my Kindle Fire that does work for the Nexus 7 (I'm using it temporarily), but the side buttons are difficult to push (and impossible with big fingers). I would love it if they made one just like that for the Nexus 7 with slots for the buttons as I love that style of case. Minimalistic.

Well until it arrives in 2 days time no one can say for certain, but the company provided the link themselves so the odds are, it's a placeholder image

Never personally seen a colored Blurex case, don't think they make those. But I am not sure.

Thanks for that information. I'll be getting a different case now but may get that blurex when it's released. I'm guessing it won't be much more then the ones without the magnet.
I really like mine (for the Fire). I have few requirements and the blurex is inexpensive, simple elegance.

it won't. they haven't released the smart covers yet, which is probably why they're currently unavailable on amazon. you should email the seller to cancel/hold your order and to get more details.

I want my 1 dollar back! lol. I like the other one coming out better, but the 6 dollar one will hold me over until it's out...I mean...it's 6 friggin dollars.

Yeah, they really messed up some of the orders. I bought a $12.99 case from them because it mentioned the sleep/wake function specifically. They sent me one of the $6 cases and will send another like the email said. I'm just curious what case it will be. The Amazon link now has a rotary case pictured with a Samsung tablet in it. It's nice that they let me keep the first one, but I hope the 2nd one is different beyond a magnet added to it.

Hmmm, be careful though, looks like they just edited the $12 case Item Title and Features section and removed the Auto Sleep/Wake description. Quite confusing at this point.

Agreed.... They emailed me too and said that I be able to exchange it for any case that they are about to release. I ordered the cheap slim fit case, however it looks like they have a few new cases that are much more to my liking on Amazon. What great customer service. I have to admit I am shocked. They earned my respect and business for a while. :thumbup:

Best Nexus 7 Pouch?

Ok, I have a 10" plain Targus pouch I used with my HP Touchpad last year, but it clearly is twice as big as my nexus.
This was the only case I was able to find with similar padding to the touchpad case I have. Are there any better/cheaper suggestions out there? (I only say cheaper because I have seen many cases going for $5-10)
I also found this but I have no idea if it's as well padded as the case I linked earlier.

I just received the T-Mobile Tech21 Universal 7 inch Leather Sleeve from All4Cellular (can't post the actual link since I'm new, but just go to their site and search under the name or search for D3O). It uses D3O anti-impact technology and I could not be happier. The Nexus 7 is quite snug inside and it even comes with a strap that allows you to pull the tablet out quite easily. I have to say that I am quite happy with it as it almost feels like it was made for it.

The only issue with this case is the lack of padding the reviewers say it has. I really want something I could throw the tablet around in while it's in this case

I really like Waterfield, too -- I have had several laptop cases from them. Pricy, always, though; and I'm still kicking myself over giving away the netbook case (don't judge ) with the netbook.
It looks like they updated that page with one just for the Nexus 7, now, too! I had one of their ultrasuede pouches for a phone once too, it was very nice.
I'm debating between their bag you bought and their travel case (for the Galaxy Tab 7, but with the size it should be enough). Basically I was thinking of getting one with the straps; I have a quick question, about the Ultimate Sleevecase, though, if you don't mind. I can see on the page that it has the back envelope area like their laptop cases, how much room is there in that? Can you slide a USB cable in there, for example, or a phone? Thanks!

I can see on the page that it has the back envelope area like their laptop cases, how much room is there in that? Can you slide a USB cable in there, for example, or a phone? Thanks!

Here you go. In the back pouch I have the Nexus 7 USB cable and charger as well as my old Droid X. That's about all I could fit in there though.

I ordered that one too... I expect to get it today.
I just plan on keeping a screen cleaner in the extra pocket.

Here is an excellent pouch that is similar to the roocase that others have pointed out, but much cheaper. I received it the other day (still waiting on my N7) but the quality and padding on this thing is fantastic! It comes in 4 or 5 different colors (I purchased black) and it only costs $6.99, free 2-day prime shipping. Love it!
One of the image notes says an N7 fits in it nice and snug. It's the best zip sleeve I could find for the quality/price/shipping time. And the reviews all have 5 stars, so others seem to like it as well.

Wow -- thanks! That's perfect. Seeing that the charger can squeeze in the back makes me think it can handle whatever I wanted to throw at it.

Fake Folio Case Nexus 5x

Bought a folio case on eBay , I think it might a copy. Packaging looked legit, but after comparing it with some genuine ones. The wording on the package is slightly different instead of just having the word "Case" and "Nexus 5x" on the front it says Folio. The real issue are the buttons , they have no feedback what so ever, they are not raised like on the original case and trying to wake up the phone or raise the volume takes multiple tries. I also noticed that the font on the fake case is more bold versus a sharper looking font on the original.

That sucks It's definitely a fake. I had to buy mine of Amazon...they still have a few legit grey ones left for the same price as there were at on the Google Store ($35). Unfortunately Google dropped them the very day they dropped the Nexus line and announce the Pixel. I have SCOURED the internet looking for original ones and the grey ones on Amazon are it! Every single thing on eBay (and every other place) are really inexpensive (read:cheap) knockoffs from China in colors that Google never sold lol. Even Adopted doesn't sell them anymore. Also, be careful on Amazon...their some confusion regarding exactly which case it is. The one you have here is not the folio, just the regular one, and people selling on Amazon have mixed it up too.
Anyway, I'm sorry to see people get burned like that. Just a suggestion...I would demand my money back instead of a repalcement if possible, but of course do what you want. Best of luck!

"Folio" is a known N5X case maker. They do copy the original one. Their price is usually around 7-15usd. If you pay for it more than that, then the seller scammed you.

I have some OEM Adopted cases that I have for sale. I have 4 non-folio light grey ones, and 3 folio dark grey ones.

I just received this case from eBay two days ago, it's fine. Just press a little harder on the buttons.

I purchased a knock-off case from Ebay myself (was maybe $5?) and I'm pretty happy with what I got. Its certainly not as nice as the original, but for $5, its really hard to complain.
The buttons were stiff at first, but have loosened up over time.

yupp my brother bought a case from ebay. and I did from google. i see the difference in build quality, the cloth on back is cheap. case openings are not very precise.(but workable) etc.

Biggest giveaway is the camera opening: not really angled/curved like the original. otherwise the fabric they use is just straight-up velour or whatever haha. Probably has a nicer feel than the somewhat confusing material that the official cases use. I swore I saw on on eBay just a few minutes ago that looked like it was suede; I'd definitely deal with a knockoff case for that material haha

Found couple of them on eBay for around 15$ and they seem legit, but the shipping costs exceed the price twice (33$ or so, shipped from US to Croatia).
I cannot find them on Amazon though (neither com, co.uk or de). Any help would be appreciated. I'm interested in regular one, not the one with screen cover.
