- Tonyp
- Arcee
- svyat (for PDroid framework and app)
- pastime1971 (for porting PDroid to CM10)
- owain94 (for the Code of many Source-Code changes)

MyHyde, just checking will u be building the theme for this build? Like the nova theme. Tks

I don't have plans for CM10 ATM, I don't know if there will be an Unofficial CM10 Build or a custom Rom based on CM10, or both, or ...?
I only know there will be something in the next time, don't thought about a theme, but the Nova HD Rebuild Theme needs only minor changes to work correctly at CM10, so this shouldn't be a problem,

Harsh releases a new version of his Kernel Build 0509, (fixed wifi-battery drain) and also a OC one, I recommend to install the new version.
Thanks to Harsh for the info.

3 "must have" IMO !
Previously, I was on Benee #2, so just a wipe cache & dalvik, then flashed the rom and gapps.
Do you think you will have some time to do an inverted Contact/Calendar/Mms package ? (I don't eally like the white background).
Anyway, for an experimental build, it's a good one !!! Thank you !
Thanks
As I don't like the white background too, this will be the next I do,

One day with this rom and i'm satisfied.
The battery drain a lot, but I like this rom !
Everything is working well (UMS in particular !).
Do you think you could implement a transparent status bar (in option) ?
Cheers
Nice to hear you like my Build.
Yes unfortunately battery live isn`t as good in the moment, but remeber, it`s an experimental build, and I guess the rom works very well for this early stage, benee has done a very awesome job.
I don`t guess I`ll include an option for statusbar transparency in the next time. (but possibly a patch for a fix transparency).

The rom work very well for sure, so I don't mind for the battery.
The solution will come one day, we have to be patient.

I vote for a patch ! That's perfect :good:
Thanks !
I`ll take a look at the sources, I guess a patch can be made easily.
But it will take some time, atm I`m working for an update of my One-S CM10 Build, when it`s done, it`s easy to include the changes in my O2X CM10 Build.
I wil flash this rom tomorrow i am happy if developers have ics drivers and etc.
So there wil be more people making ics or jb roms for our lg not korean

Thats the original one, da_reaper helped me post the rom because i had no time to post it on the thread after uploading. Its on the main thread now.
I made this rom for myself at the beginning but judging from the very low number of custom roms for P6810 I thought I might as well share it.
This rom is based on the CM9 by Locerra (huge kudos to Locerra for his great work).
I modified it to make it look and (somewhat) feel like JB, hope this helps you wait till Locerra's CM10 is at a daily driver stage. EDIT : it now is quite a daily-driver
List of Changes
- Added Jelly Bean Boot animation from the Nexus 7
- Added Jelly Bean Animations
- Added Jelly Bean Fonts
- Added Google Now & Google Now Voice Search
- Added Jelly Bean Lockscreen
- Added Google Ears (JB music recognition widget)
- Added Jelly Bean Wallpapers in Trebuchet (in "wallpapers" in the wallpaper picker)
- Changed Default wallpaper to the most famous JB wallpaper
- Added Jelly Bean Apps (Google Music, Magazines, Books, Gallery, FaceUnlock, Video editor...)
- Added Jelly Bean Apollo Theme
- Added Beats-Audio modified DSP Manager
- Included latest ICS gapps
- Included latest Solid Explorer, Flipboard, Maps & Street View, Chrome, maybe other apps...
- Added a lot of build.prop tweaks
- Included the wifi-hotfix provided in Locerra's thread
- Zipaligned
Known Issues
- The bootanimation might be buggy, don't worry if the animation is stuck, the tab is still booting.
- Same as Locerra's CM9
- Default wallpaper might be cut at first boot but changing to another and then back will fix it
- Report if you find another
Disclaimer
I am not responsible for any kind of damage made to your device while flashing this rom, flash this at your very own risk.
Always make sure you have a nandroid backup before flashing. Do not flash this rom on a P6800 (3G version), only P6810 !
Be very careful with the Galaxy Tab 7.7, never format /system in CWM mounts & storages, our tab suffers from Super Brick MMC_CAP_ERASE bug.
(Writing a guide on how to revive a Superbricked galaxy tab 7.7, will publish in a few days...This bug really is a P.I.T.A...).
How to Install
If coming from another rom than CM9, i would recommend to wipe /data.
If you come from Locerra's build then just :
¤ Wipe cache
¤ Wipe dalvik
¤ Flash the rom from CWM
¤ Reboot
Do not flash the gapps they are already included.
Download Here (Multiupload)
Please feel free to make mirrors
Credits
- Locerra for bringing CM9 and CM10 to our lonely tab
- ...Awesome... for Beats-Audio DSP Manager (thread here)
- Mobint for Holo Locker (Play store link here)
- Mr.Krypton for Google Now on ICS
- I took some other add-ons from threads i can't remember. if I forgot you just let me know, i'll add you.
If you like the ROM please press the THANKS BUTTON

Couldn't manage to unpack any galaxy tab 7.7 kernel using the usual perl scripts etc...
This is because samsung uses ramdisks without a header, or with a 512b header in the middle (this causes the "Android magic not found" error).
(yeah i know, header +in the middle = contradictory^^). I tried asking to Ezy as he is the creator of the only custom kernel for P68XX that i know, but he did not answer
Only way i found is to compile kernel from source (you can get the sources at opensource.samsung.com) but i didn't look into it already.
I am interested in this too, if you find something useful, please let us know.
Can someone put the file somewhere else please?
I keep getting errors on the other download!

I've currently hacked the Cyanogenmod build system to recompile the source when updating the initramfs, but I would much rather use the standard repackaging tools if possible.

Thank you for sharing this build. As you said, there is a very limited selection for the wifi-only version of the galaxy tab 7.7. So I am very happy that I can flash this :victory:

Yeah Samsung would make our lives easier if they would do like others do...
Really glad to hear you found a workaround for that issue.
Do you think you could make a version of your regular CM9 or CM10 kernel just removing the damn MMC_CAP_ERASE for P6810 ?
My Tab had the superbrick bug and now everytime I wanna flash a ROM or test one of my builds I have to spend 15+ minutes on e2fsck and parted to be able to flash and boot it properly because it re-bricks everytime...
Anyway thanks for all the awesome work you did and keep doing for the 7.7 community:good:
Installed fine over CM9, had to manually re-install Chrome but other than that its working nicely.
Cannot figure out how to get google Now up - but other than that it looks ok.

Every kernel that I've used for CM and for CWM has had MMC_CAP_ERASE disabled (including the current one).

Thanks for the feedback. Just use the google searchbox that is on home screens to bring up google now.
You can also simply use the "google" app in your app drawer. For the voice you'll have to use the "Voice search for google now" app.
Just click the quicksearchbox mic and select this app as default.

Thanks a lot for that.
Bad news for me though, I thought this would fix the issue, but that means it only takes one mmc_cap_erase for it to corrupt your partitions everytime you wipe something, even if it's disbled in the kernel you run next

NOTE (for rom-makers themers and people who use this rom as base):
As you know, there is a BIG AMOUNT of CM9 for ACE, by different devs (since ICS was released). For make easier bug-controls PLEASE SAY IF YOU USE THIS ROM AS BASE.
On the Beta 3 there is a problem with gapps:
As long as CM10 with gapps is too heavy for our decice, (that causes some issues that won't happen normally)
SOLUTION: (must test, and try to improve it)
you must delete something to install it, I recommend LatineMe.apk (keyboard)
Install again the gapps (lite by pedrojuuu)
Install a keyboard from play syore or via apk
And everything will be OK

You know it would be great if you start working on arko's HAL like lagloose said, because wayland's still disrupts deep sleep.

Deep Sleep Work in CM10?
Presenting MIUIv5 (4.1.2) 3.3.30 beta for the new bootloader (unofficial)
KoolSavas has contacted me to inform that he is interested in working as the joint developer of this ROM
Thanks buddy!
Read this post entirely before using the ROM or asking any questions!
What is the difference between this ROM and the one on MIUI site?
They stole and used pengus77's work without his permission. Following this community since more than a year (and working since a few months), I know how much he has contributed to the O2x community, and hence I have the highest respect for him. So I never use pengus77's work without his consent. In short, this ROM has been ported with his permission
I also plan to remove Xiaomi related stuff from the ROM in the final release as much as I can.
This is a beta version, so some stuff may not work.
Q. So why did you post it?
A.
1. I dont have the time to test all the features in a detailed manner so I am relying on the testers to give feedback. I tested calls, wifi, app installation etc.
2. KoolSavas and I live in regions with different time zones, so most of the time, we are not online at the same time. This also serves as a mechanism for us to share our work, and encourage other testers to dig up as many initial bugs as possible
Known issues have been listed in the post and dont need to be restated
Firstly, I want to thank Ricardo for all his work on CM for our phone. Since this ROM uses CM10 as base, it would not be possible without RC's work.
This ROM has been ported to the O2x from various other devices having official MIUI support (such as the Nexus S, Photon, Atrix etc.) and the MIUI team deserves credit for all of that.
This would not be possible without pengus77 and the other devs who brought CM10 to the new bootloader. His thread is here. His latest build of CM10 for the new bootloader was used as the base ROM
Kowalski kernel is the recommended kernel for this ROM. The ROM doesnt come with the kernel included, so flash it separately
Screenshots:
Here
Thanks to clashman for the screenshots
Details of the ROM:
For use with NEW unlocked ICS bootloader only, tested with TWRP (thanks to tonyp for his work on TWRP!)
Multilanguage support planned, but not added yet in this version
Does not come with gapps, you need to flash it separately
Superuser:
Before installing anything, first activate root permission from 'Permission' app in 'Security' folder. Select 'manage root permission' and enable it.
This only needs to be done once, and all superuser prompts will come as usual when you install/use root apps.
If you installed or tried to use any root apps before doing this, and your app no longer gets root access, reinstall that app.
Battery:
To see percentage battery indicator on the status bar, go to settings->battery and change the battery indicator style
Performance:
To make the UI transitions faster, you can use the good old standard tip:
Go to settings->developer options
Set 'window animation scale', 'transition animation scale' and 'animator duration scale' all to "0.5x". UI animations will seem twice as fast after doing this.
If the ROM becomes slow over time, do a reboot.
And try not to do a lot of stuff in the first few seconds when SD card scanning is going on, sync is going on or when apps are updating in the background. Its not right to complain of "this/that doesnt work" or lag when you do that
Some cool tips and tricks to improve your MIUI experience(taken from the official site):
Tips, tricks and shortcuts
Download links:
Download link for version 3.4.5
Gapps download link
Download link for older versions:
Download link for version 3.3.30
Instructions:
Make a full wipe if you are coming from any other ROM, and flash it in recovery.
Dont forget to flash the 4.1.2 gapps
Standard disclaimer:
I am not responsible if anything goes wrong with your phone.
If someone has posted a bug and you have the same bug, just thank their post or wait. No need to flood with the same bug reports.
Small problems such as some app related problems can be dealt with at a later stage.
Known issues:
led notification lights are always off
camera app does not display preview of pic taken (you can see the photo in gallery app )
Credits:
RC and the rest of the CM team for all their work
MIUI team (especially the Nexus S team and Photon team headed by Th3bill)
wkpark for cracking the new bootloader and making it possible to use custom ROMs with it
Pengus77 and the other devs who brought CM10 to the new bootloader.
feav for his camera mod
Changelog
11/4/13: Version 3.4.5
Version 3.4.5 (see all official changes in miui site)
Included feav's camera app (JB version). Thanks a lot to feav for letting me integrate his mod into this ROM.
So, the camera app is working properly now
Themes are now working
Reserved for multilanguage pack (coming soon )

nice Scott; great to see you on this device! :good:
I've been contacted by someone with a 5100 and we are working to get that going.
I've fixed the streaming video issue, trying to fix up the prox/light sensors before dropping another build.
Stay tuned to Alpha 1.1 today
I believe the apps2sd requires an app from the market?? I don't use it so I'm not entirely sure. Any other bugs???

Your build is fast though, no doubt.

This can be used as a base and with (for the most part) a few changes it shouldn't be too hard.
