Moto Announcement Today - Motorola Droid 3

Did anyone else come across this today and feel at all "not forgotten" by Moto for once?'
http://www.mobileburn.com/20436/new...es-soon-100-credit-for-non-upgradeable-phones

What about non US people who have a droid 3... ?
Also: can't get updated?? If hash can get 512mb ducati/kernel stuff for D3 you're not telling me motorola can't.

That may not be a bad thing.

not forgotten? how about forgotten and abused. (unless of course you spend good money with us again to replace a phone you shouldnt have to)
so you release a phone. in less than 6 months you release its successor. then you fail to provide any support or updates. you leave it off the ics upgrade path.
then you come out with another phone less than a year later, and offer $100 off? screw you moto.
sorry we completely screwed you on your prior purchase, but please buy another of our phones. it has what yours should have. no thanks.
the only way moto would get a positive point in my book is if they kept the promise to unlock the D3 bootloader, which we all know will never ever happen.

I wonder how the 100 dollar credit will work. I know it will only work on Moto phones.
If it's for an upgrade at a Verizon store, it's worthless. I would lose my unlimited contract.
If it's for an upgrade at wholesale, it's a better than nothing, but I wouldn't likely go for it (unless they have an unlocked kickass phone coming out in the next 3 months).
If it's a 100 dollar upgrade from any store, including a used one on E-bay, I would actually consider it.
Until then, 250 for a used Galaxy Nexus, is very tempting.

Well Motorola/Verizon have to add all of the bloatware on top so it would probably not run the smoothest. Stock GB with all of its bloatware struggles with RAM. I have Android ICS x86 with Gapps in Virtualbox and set the RAM to the total amount that the Droid 3 reports ~375MB. ICS has quite a bit more free RAM than my stock GB which has all bloatware frozen.
As far as the $100 upgrade offer, the Droid 3 is still going for over $100 on ebay used but that may change by next year. The Razr M does look pretty nice, I can't stand the big screen phones that are coming out and the Razr M manages to pack a 4.3" screen with smaller dimensions than the Droid 3. If they come out with a keyboard version it would be tempting.

$100 off is completely worthless. If I want to upgrade now in the middle of a contract cycle Verizon lists a Droid 4 for $549 so even at $100 off its still $449 and I'm way better off just waiting another year for my next contract renewal. The only way it helps me is if I can file away that discount to be used in September of 2013.

We were never in the pipeline for ICS let alone Jellybean. This is the "carrot before the horse" trick. Not even well played, Moto is dead in the water. Nexus is the future of Android. Still love my brick though.

I feel like Moto realized that they just might be able to squeeze a little bit more money out of us. Sort of a "who else is there to exploit?" kind of thing. Not sure I like it better.

Nexus One market life span?

Hey guys,
I've been looking to buy a Nexus, however Im hesitant because of all the rapid improvements to smart-phones lately. Seems like just yesterday my G1 was the **** because of its 528mhz processor.. But if I were to lay down the $500+ for it, I would hate for the "Nexus 2" to come out a month later.. accompanied by the regret and face palms. Of course, I'm not expecting that specific scenario to unfold, but how long do you think the specs for the N1 will last as a competitive player in the field? And do you think it's safe to say the upcoming android updates we have yet to experience will be compatible with it?
-Thanks for your input!
The Nexus One is a great phone, but as with the G1 ALL technology is eventually replaced, I chose the nexus one becuase its Googles phone, which means if any phone has a chance to still be the beta tester for all android things to come it would be the nexus one. The Evo and Incredible are all basically re-branded Nexus One's, same hardware different software. The nexus one was my first smartphone, actually my first phone ever (my parents hate tech lol) and I've seen people with their iphones and bberries and I pull out my nexus one and KNOW without a shadow of a doubt I have the best phone. If the nexus one looks appealing to you and you are happy with what it can do, I say you wont be dissapointed. But, if you are hesitant and iffy on the purchase, perhaps wait and see whats around Androids corner. I love my nexus one and from what I see from competitive android smartphones and still think mine is the best.
-Cheers with your decision
Sell your G1, use the money towards the N1... Do it soon, buying the N1 via google won't last much longer, once retailers get ahold of it it'll cost considerably more.
The rumor/heresay is that the N2 will be out in Nov. Then just repeat the cycle of selling old, use money towards the new one.
Kind of like you're leasing the best phone at the moment
If you say n2 will come and will wait, and when the n2 comes out ou can wait for the n3. you can do two things.
Buy a new phone, and sell it after few months to buy a new one. if you sell it before a newer version comes out you can sell it almost the same price you bought it. put some extre $ and buy a new one. I do this > i had over 30 phones in my life > i'm 22 years now
or what you also can do is skip a generation. so if you buy n1 skip n2 and wait for n3 (for example). so you can use you don't have to switch phones that often.
I bought the N1 as my first smartphone and have been very happy with it. I would say it will last a while since Google demonstrated their new OS (Android 2.2) on it and also previewed the release after that on a N1. That gave me hope to know that it will work with the release of 2.2 and also the release after that. Whether they will continue to release the new OS for it after that is unknown, but there are always custom ROMs that could add functionality.
Go For It
I say buy the N1 if you like it. Yeah, there's no front-facing camera, gyroscope, or whatever else the next line of premium Android phones will all contain. It is still going to receive Google's updates first for at least another year. Also, as with the G1, the dev community is doing excellent work and should have no problem extending it's life even further beyond that. If the G1 is still going almost 2 years and numerous updates later, Nexus owners have nothing to worry about.

I don't think so. It will be aggressively priced once it hits retailers. Or may be bundled with some accessories.
Either act today, or wait 6 months. This market moves fast.
seriously this thread has been posted so many times before. just search. the nexus will be the flagship until next january for sure. it still has a long life left, so buy it and enjoy it. nexus two isnt even a rumor yet, and wouldnt be out till next year.
Motorola has a 2ghz phone hitting store before the end of the year, with 1080P vide out.
You're never gonna be "top of the line" for more than 6 months.

I already see it listed at various other places for $650+.
Somehow, I doubt that will come down once buying straight from the "manufacturer" for "cheap" is no longer an option.

Will Verizon have the Samsung Galaxy S II or a decent dual core 4G Android soon?

Sprint has HTC Evo 3D and Samsung Galaxy SII
T-Mobile has G2X, HTC Sensation, MyTouch 4G
Verizon has... well, the Bionic
I really want to stay with Verizon, they have the best network and the absolute best more reliable network.
So, anybody knows if they will have a decent dual core phone any time soon?
I need
1) descent screen. Super AMOLED cool, but any phone will do. HTC and LG usually have good screens. I love the screen of my G2X for instance
2) 1GB of RAM, or maybe even 728MB, but preferably 1GB
3) At least 1GB of space for apps, I believe that is called Internal Storage
4) 4G. At least >= 4000 kbps/s inside malls
5) Nvidia Tegra >=1Ghz would be nice
If you Google it you will find that VZW is not going to sell the GSII because they don't think it has enough to compete with the IP5 when it drops. They have a newer offering from Samsung called the Prime that they hope to have on the market in time for the holidays. Possibly as early as next month.

Well my main concern if I switch to Spint is that I will have to pay around $80 per month or something like that
I don't have a problem with having two carriers within the family, but with Verizon I only have to pay a cheap $50 per month price
I like the fact that Sprint has the Samsung Galaxy SII, the HTC Evo 3D
They even have a Motorola Dual Core as well
All 4G, Dual Core, nice screen, good RAM
So 3 devices vs 1
From what I am reading, if I use this phone from Verizon, I will use it for at least 6 months, till January or something
I know how technology works, and how long it takes for new devices to appear
example the GTX 600 series will appear in January, AMD Bulldozer still hasn't arrived, Intel took forever to fix their motherboards, and 6 months after they released the Intel Sandy Bridge, they were still releasing new chipsets
Here is how much it will cost me to switch carriers for the next 6 months
If I stay in T-mobile and stay in no contract
$120 every month.
Total: $720
If I move to Sprint
$90 per month
I need to finish paying $350 to T-Mobile for the phone, Let's say I sell the phone in $200, $150 out of my pocket
$250 for the Samsung Galaxy S II
I still need to pay July and August to T-Mobile, so add another $240
Total: $1180
If I stay in Verizon
$50 per month
I need to finish paying $350 to T-Mobile for the phone, Let's say I sell the phone in $200, $150 out of my pocket
$350 for the Droid Bionic
Let's say I sell the Bionic for $350, let's say the Samsung Prime is $600, so $250 out of my pocket
I still need to pay July and August to T-Mobile, so add another $240
Total: $1290
In theory I want to stay with the cheapest one (T-Mobile), but again, I don't like them
I had no-contract plan with them, but now those plans are no existing anymore.
So I can't drop down to the $99 plan I had before, freaking idiot$..., they told me the ONLY way to drop my price is to make a new 2 year contract.
So if I want to cancel with them I have to pay them a ****load of money since I am still paying the phone
So even if T-Mobile is the cheapest, I wouldn't trust them with my credit card or bank account anytime soon, so I won't stay with them no way
I think I'm going to stay with T-Mobile, and then someday try to switch to Sprint
If I can switch to Sprint this week, that would be great.
If I can't, then I don't see what's the point of doing this deal with Verizon. I am 110% sure that I don't like this phone
now, with T-Mobile I had no contract, so I had the ability to go up/down in plans. Now those idiot$... removed all those plans, so they respect my rate but they won't allow me to upgrade/downgrade
So another nasty tactic would be to allow T-Mobile to send us to collections and hopefully we can go to court and explain to the judge that they can't destroy my plans, and then expect me to pay $120 forever
They actually want me to pay $120 per month, for 2 years (until I finish paying my phone), because those idiot$.. just say they don't have no-contract plans anymore.
So screw them, I haven't decided yet if I can sue them or if it's even worth my time
Anyway, if I just forget about them, maybe throw them a bone here and there, here are my new estimates
If I stay in T-mobile and stay in no contract
$120 every month.
Total: $720
If I move to Sprint
$90 per month
$250 for the Samsung Galaxy S II
Total: $790
If I stay in Verizon
$50 per month
$350 for the Droid Bionic
Let's say I sell the Bionic for $350, let's say the Samsung Prime is $600, so $250 out of my pocket
Total: $900
Now, my question would be
If Sprint and Verizon have good reception inside malls, Best Buy, Frys, Walmart... and the price is around the same
Which one would you chose?
My main problem with Verizon is that they only have ONE FREAKING PHONE that works with 4GB, and has a dual core CPU
So anyway, even though I hate doing this, tomorrow, if for some reason I don't sign up with Sprint, I am going to stay at $tupid T-Mobile.

Not worth it bud. You don't want ANYTHING remotely bad on your credit report, especially in these economic times. Creditors are looking for an excuse not to lend. You might not need a loan now, or in the near future, but you never know if an emergency comes and you get denied because of a not paid phone bill.
Just my 2 cents...

That's not even close to true. Verizon sees no point in selling the GSII because the Prime is the same phone except for the LTE radio and Ice Cream Sandwich (reported to be the first ICS phone).
The IP5 will probably be the IP4 running the iPad2's SoC and iOS5; the GS2 has been out for many months and can already run with that as can other devices.

I know, but hey, not to brag or anything, but if I work hard I can make all the amount that I owe them (including the phone cost and the 2-3 months I will be behind) in a couple of days
The problem is that I have a NO CONTRACT plan with T-Mobile
Somehow I ended up stuck at $120 per month because those plans don't exist anymore
so they can't discount me or anything
From what I know, they do send you to collections after 3 months.
So I can screw them and after 2 months and 29 days just pay them the cash and shut their mouth
I just dislike companies being dishonest
If I have NO CONTRACT how on earth did I ended up with such a high fee?
I can't even remove or add features to the plan, it's ridiculous

Well, from the daily reading I've been doing it IS a superior phone to the GSII. It isn't even going to run the same processor! It is based on Samsung's in-house Exynos CPU at 1.5 GHz with 1GB RAM. It will not be using the TI processor like the duece. The phone has a metal body. That's right, a Samsung with a metal body. It will also sport a 2000 mAh battery. On the soft side, there's a new browser that is said to be leaps and bounds ahead of anything else on the market.
Obviously, this close together it isn't extensively different, but quite a bit so at e same time. The plan is to have it on the market for the holiday shopping season. Probably within the month or not a lot longer.
Your back? You said good bye already what gives chief?
Just a heads up sprints unlimited data will be going away soon enough. Or at most switch to a $30 unlimited so either way sprint will be going up

Based on my inside sources, the processor will be infact a TI processor, specifically the TI OMAP4460, and it will be housed in a plastic body to be released sometime in October, though that could change. Also, another tip: the official name of the rumored Prime has nothing to do with the word Prime or Droid, and that's all I can say about this rumored phone without getting into too much trouble.
Hands on reviews posted on-line dis-agree with your claims... I have been waiting since last year's CES for the Bionic. Waited thru all the delays/scraps. After 9 months, the phone looks to me to have landed with a resounding thud !!

Well yesterday I went to Sprint and man that phone is absolutely gorgeous
However, my HTC Thunderbolt does a lot of the things about the same
Yes the Samsung Galaxy S II is thinner, and the screen a bit bigger
the MAIN difference is the screen quality, man NOTHING can beat Samsung now a days
However, I would like to know if there are news about HTC Vigor or the Prime
I am having a hard time figuring out why I should change to Sprint just for one phone.
Let's say Verizon does comes up with a phone that has dual core 1.2Ghz or 1.5Ghz in the near future, then that phone would be the best
the Samsung Galaxy S II was able to achieve 8000 kbps/s
The HTC Thunderbolt was able to achieve 16000 kbps/s
So, none of them is a clear winner, one has bigger more beautiful screen, but the other has faster internet
Anyway, I think I'm going to try the Samsung Galaxy SII, just because I bought the HTC thunderbolt cash, so I can cancel the contract, and I can go back to Verizon any day I want
Right now it's the time to test all carriers (I am testing all except AT&T which has a limited bandwidth for customers), and decide
My co-worker is amazed by his S2! He suggested I switch out of Verizon....Now! I laughed and told him my unlimited plan is keeping me with Verizon. He measured the speed of the phone and it was twice the speed of the bionic. Maybe that phone will come to the Verizon network as the Samsung Function soon!

I to went into sprint and played with the sgs 2 and it is VERY nice. I was thinking about returning my bionic and going with sprint also. I know the quadrant scores are for losers but I was able to get about 2400 with my bionic. I ran it on the sprint store phone and was able to get repeat 34-3500 scores! However, I was only able to hit 4mbs down and .645 up on the same phone. My bionic in the same location hit 16 down and 5 up.
Latest word on PhoneArena:
Vigor release: 10/20
Prime release:11/3.
Take it with a grain of salt, but that's the latest word.

Switching to Verizon: Droid Bionic or wait?

After a falling out with AT&T, I think I'm switching to Verizon. I'm currently using the Motorola Atrix, loving it so far. Bionic seems like the brother to it in Verizon. Now, this will probably take place in the next few weeks. If I switch, should I get the Droid Bionic or wait for a newer phone? I'll be paying off contract for the phone. Hoping to hear some input from users (as well as people who know the real definition of 4G, novel concept).

I'd go with the bionic, there will always be a better phone released a couple months after you buy, no matter what it is. Don't wait around to jump into the latest and greatest, because you'll always be waiting.
The bionic is a solid device, and most are very satisfied. I know I am. Wirefly is selling it for $150 with new contract right now, and you may even find better elsewhere.

Ok, despite the fact that I bought a Bionic just yesterday, and did not wait, I think I would wait those couple of weeks to see what's up with Verizon's new handsets (Prime, Vigor, etc.), and perhaps to wait out the expected OTA update to the Bionic that people say is coming in November.
If you can't wait, the Bionic is a nice phone.
I would recommend waiting for the Prime or considering something that has an unlocked bootloader.

Is there any word of verizon getting any phone with an unlocked boot loader? I know that some, like the thunderbolt, can be unlocked via hacks, etc... but will there be one that will come with the ability to unlock it right out of the box? If there is, I may also hold off on the bionic.

The latest rumor is a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, with 32 GB of external storage, 4.65" display (though ice cream sandwich has no menu/home/back/search buttons, so the size of the phone may be about the same), slightly thinner (1 mm I think), about the same battery.
This is a rumor, of course.
http://www.bgr.com/2011/10/06/samsung-galaxy-nexus-full-specs-revealed-verizon-wireless-exclusive/
As far as I know, since they are development phones, all of the Nexus phones have had unlockable bootloaders, though there is no guarantee of that, either.
We should find out next Tuesday at CTIA.
I would def go with the Bionic. I first upgraded to the Samsung Charge, But then quickly returned it once the Bionic released. It was a great decision. The week that i owned the Charge i was running into all kinds of small Glitches and bugs, nothing real major but enough to get on my nerves. The only thing that the Charge had over the Bionic was the Picture quality....
So far i have yet to experience the amount of glitches with my Bionic.
Wait a month and get the Nexus Prime. I know my Bionic is going out the window for that bad boy.

If your just buying the phone outright, I'd wait a couple weeks until the Prime comes out and pickup a Bionic on the cheap from someone who's switching. I have a feeling the used market is going to get flooded with them.

If you can wait until the end of the month, strongly rumored Samsung Nexus-type phone is "due out" near the end of tthe month, better screen, faster processor, and Android 4.0 (and a Google Experience phone so no crapware.)
If you can't wait three weeks, get a Bionic in your hands to look at the screen; although if you already have one Motor qHd screen & if doesn't bother you, the Bionic appears to have the best Motorola pentile qHd display so far.
I'm happy w/ myBionic so far,but wouldn't mind 50% faster CPU and a 720p screen

If, like me, you order from Amazon, you have a 30-day window but then you can't reorder another phone from them for 60 days (to keep people from scamming rebates). meanwhile, unless you keep your Verizon contract active during that period, you'll be hit with an early term fee of several hundred bucks.
Personally, I'd rather buy phones unlocked and pay the higher price with the benefit of not being locked into a contract. But, none of the large carriers does it that way in the U.S.

Motorola promises upgrade to jelly bean?

So after reading this I got really excited. It says all Motorola phones released after 2011 will get jelly bean. I was getting scared that the DROID 4 wouldn't get it. Here's a link to what I read. I also registered for the email just in case. Sorry if you can't click that link its my first time posting a link on this site.

Hmmm, I'm neutral after reading the link.
Good that they are going to make an effort to upgrade stuff released in 2011 (maybe Droid 4).
Only the Razr and Razr Maxx were mentioned by name.
The caveat is that any or all models released in 2011 might not get upgraded to JB and instead get $100 on the next purchase instead...
Would that $100 apply only to purchases direct from Motorola? It's something like $600 list price for these right? If one is to buy a subsidized phone from Verizon would that qlwo be eligible for the extra $100 off? I went from my Droid 2 to my Droid 4 as soon as possible in order to get a 4G LTE phone while keeping my grandfathered unlimited data. Fortunately my 2 yr contract date lined up nicely. I moved to a 4G LTE, slightly larger, better keyboard, grandfathered unlimited data, Droid 4. Now I understand that if I upgrade my equipment at a subsidized price in the future I will lose my grandfathered unlimited data plan. As long as I have that unlimited data plan I don't plan to upgrade equipment any time soon. And the $100 from motorola would be meaningless unless it applied on top of Verizon's subsidized price.
Don't get me wrong. I'm happy to hear that announcement. Definitely a positive.

The Droid 4 was released in January 2012, so it is one of the newest phones from Motorola on VZW. I'm pretty optimistic about the JB upgrade, I hope we get those cool new widgets they are shipping out with the new HD phones, but won't count on it. Although I'm pretty happy with ICS on the phone other than the bugs that I've mentioned under the bug thread, hopefully they can fix those issues soon! I want my Chrome to work!

Haha, I'm old... no memory. Kyocera 7135 when it came out, didn't upgrade until the Treo 720p. Next phone wasn't until the D2. It was traumatic to upgrade as soon as I was eligible for discount but that window for a 4G physical keyboard keeping my unlimited data did it. I think I blocked that from my mind and kind of remember the D2 date.
I'm optimistic too but the D4 is very low volume compared to the Razr models. On the other hand it is targeted towards the "business" market and Verizon has always maintained that pretty well. Anybody know the numbers/ratio of how Droid sales roughly compare to Razr sales?

Actually, I'd argue the opposite. If you don't want to get a subsidized phone, then $100 off an unsubsidized phone sounds kinda awesome...
Regardless, I am sure the D4 will get JB. People were talking about it being possible before this announcement was made. Chances are the 2011 phone that WON'T be getting it is the D3, due to its 512mb of RAM.
Hopefully Motorola's going to start releasing updates in a timely matter. Watching their "On Display" event actually got me pretty excited for the future of Motorola.

Good news there. I'm unlikely to be upgrading to any kind of phone (subsidized or not) for a very long time.
Yeah, my Chrome is quite buggy too. However, my D4 isn't the only device I've seen with that issue. The tablet I use at work (Acer A100) hangs every time it tries to open multiple tabs. Personally I'm kinda disappointed in Google for taking Chrome out of Beta.
And I totally agree that the Droid 4 is going to get JB. I just hope that Moto doesn't decide to get rid of Webtop on my phone like they got rid of charge only mode...

[Q] Do you think the N6 will release on VZW before 12/31/14?

So VZW is offering a 2 line plan, 10gb to share, unlimited t+t, for $80 (and my employee discount will make it even cheaper) until December 31st! My gf and I are going to go in together to get this since we each pay around $70-$80 for 2gb plans already. Only problem is I have to upgrade my phone before I switch or I will lose my upgrade eligibility. I hate all the other phones out right now and really want a N6.
So I ask my fellow XDA members to speculate whether or not the N6 will be available on VZW before 12/31/14. I know there is no date set, im just looking for some opinions.
TIA and I hope some of you get the same deal as was offered to me. BTW on the commercial it says that the 10gb share plan is $110 but when I called to ask they said it was only $80.
When you sign up for the new service, won't you be able to get two devices at the upgrade-subsidized price anyway?
No because my GF and I are combining plans and she just got an upgrade a month ago.
My guess is no, but there's nothing close to concrete yet.
No one knows. You can guess as well and have a 50/50 shot at getting it right just like everyone else...
Pretty sure the $80 is just the data portion. You'll need to tack on $40 per device on top of that.

Did Verizon change how family plans work? I thought that if you sign up for two lines, you get to buy two devices at the on-contract price. Since your GF is not eligible for an upgrade, you should still have one line left that is eligible to purchase at the on-contract price?
I think it will. Probably right before Christmas. They want the droid turbo to get all the attention before they put out the Nexus 6.

Or just get a new iphone with your upgrade and sell it on craigs list or ebay and use the money to buy a nexus 6 off contract from google or moto ect and use that on verizon.
if you dont care much about custom ROMS or root , pick up the droid turbo, I play with one for a bit from a friend, is a SICK device 3900mah battery, 805 chipset, 5.2 qhd display and stock android with moto futures, cant go wrong with it

You're posting on XDA and you think I won't care about custom roms or Root? LMFAO cmon man!
Droid Turbo sucks IMO, no SD Card and ugly as hell. Also I have a bad feeling the Dev community will be small. No thanks, i'll pass. This is my chance to get a Nexus device on VZW, im all for it and will wait as long as I have to.
Dont want to turn this thread into a device conversation. Im just looking for opinions on whether or not ppl think the N6 will drop before 12/31/14 so I can get that sweet deal.

According to the specs I've seen, the Nexus 6 won't have an SD card slot either, have you heard differently?
My opinion is the Nexus 6 will be available easily before 12/31/2014.
No it wont have an SD card slot BUT it does come in a 64gb option unlike the DT.

The Droid Turbo DOES in fact come with a 64gb option as well....
What? I was just at the store and they said only 32gb. Maybe he meant they only had 32gb in stock. I stand corrected, thanks!
I have it on good authority that Verizon will see the Nexus 6 before 12/31/15. Not sure about 12/31/14
:\ LOL
Just got back from my local VZw store (Corporate location 42nd st NYC) and received some bad news. I know, I know, CSR's suck and never know what they are talking about. That being said I kinda know one of the guys that work there, he's pretty much who I talk to every time I go to the store. He's pretty good with the info he gives so I trust him. He said VZW has no plans to release the N6. FML. He said he spoke with a bunch of higher ups because ppl kept coming in/calling about the N6 and none of them had any idea that VZW was even gonna carry it. He said there's no chance it comes out this year. If it comes out at all it would be closer to spring of next year. I hate VZW so much......
My question now is, if Best Buy will have stock this week why cant we buy from them and activate it on VZW? I know BB has VZW phones so what would stop them from selling me and activating a N6 on VZW?

Man that hurts the soul! Hopefully I can take my G Play Pre ordered N6 and activate by just taking the micro sim out of the ol M8 and profiting? I spoke with a play store rep in the Nexus threads that he assured that my N6 would work out of the box with VZW when I received it? Crossing fingers
I would think if it wasn't going to be available on vzw, moto wouldn't have wasted time/resources to get all the vzw network bands built in.
