Hello! I have question lag when I change between 2G/3G/WiFi is normal? There are some patches on it?
I use CM7.2 FAT + Firekernel
When you're changing between internet interfaces , it has to unload one driver and load one driver .
How is that not supposed to lag ? Besides , Androids lag badly when they're under 3G .

Thing is, I recently bought a nexus s and I heard that the hardware it has is bassicly the same as the samsung. But my nexue is very slow on loading flash web pages (sometimes it lags so much that I have to reboot it). Also I have very few free RAM, as I type this I only have about 30mb of RAM. Sometimes my apps crash because of this or launcher pro FCs. Do you guys get the same performance as I'm talking about or the phone is smooth for you?
nope. not having that problem try posting on the nexus forum. If you're posting here cos you're thinking about buying an SGS, then do it - with the right ROM and kernel, you wont have any of those problems
try another rom , sure it will solve your problem
Its not rom related, its a problem with the hardware. I heard that 200mb of ram are addressed to the gpu. Is that the same for your phone as well?

This is apparently a common issue on GB roms. See multiple similar threads. Add your comments to them but it seems to be very widespread and something with stock and custom roms.

i have the same problem with many Hd games ( i mean gameloft's games) ... the new rom looks great .. but it's blocked a lot of times ... and after that the phone reboot automatically... anyone help me to fix this problem .
Hello guys, I've recently switched to Darky 10.2 EE and then Resurrection (XXJVQ), always having the same problem. The phone may become extremly laggy, particularly when trying to browse the internet with various browsers (except using Opera -mini- which is very light and missing features). When browsing a page it will start lagging, stuck for some seconds and after a while even freeze! This is very annoying because I upgraded from 10.1 to improve these particular aspects and they got worse! At least when I was with 10.1 EE I could open 3 or 4 tabs with Opera Mobile.
Similarly the GPS application which I use may become laggy and stuck for a while (very frustrating when you are on the road) which didn't use to happen before.
Guys, as I am suspecting RAM issues, is there anything I can do to improve the ROM's memory performance/behavior? Maybe something I didn't do right...
I have just flashed this and it is laggy just out of the box. I'm very disappointed with Darky ROM.
Have you activated the lagfixes? Better yet, do you know what lagfix is?

Hello my friend. If you mean in recovery mode: both voodoo lagfix and system lagfix conversion are enabled, debug mode is off.
What they do exactly however, I am not sure.

I recently have downloaded the new MIUI 3.4.19 Jelly Bean Rom , its really amazing ! the rom every one dreams of !
But the thing is , as i tested the Rom , the kernel is pretty bad , there are several big bugs in it , i think because its based on a ICS old kernel ( the kernel info says 3.0.41 ICS )
One of the big problems is the microphone in calls using 3rd party apps such Viber , Tango , Skype .... etc , as when you turn on the speaker in ( Viber ) , the microphone quality becomes extremely poor , and it dose not work at all in both Tango and Skype , both headset and speaker modes .
Other problem is that the lock screen sets the device in some kind of deep sleep mode , so if you are having a call in viber , and lock the screen , the call will be droped , another example is the shake to change song , it works when the screen is active ( even before unlocking ) , but dose not work when screen is off.
So basically its Kernel problems , and i was wondering if there is another kernel i can use witch fits the JB roms.

MIUI v5 uses dla5244's kernel 3, which is used in almost all jellybean ROMs here. Only CVX and CV10.1 dont use it and they use Szeszo's own custom kernel, the TESCO kernel v3 (i think).
Viber, Tango and stuff is all Jellybean problem. Its been stated a lot of times and any Jellybean ROM will have that problem.
And nobody locks the phone while theyre in any call.... at least where i live. The screen will automatically turn off and thats been a function of all smart phones for as long as i know :/

Thank you so much for your help ! so basically any JellyBean rom will have these problems :/ ! thats too bad , as they are pretty awsome !
and i lock my phone because usaly i turn on the speaker and hold my phone in my hand while moving around , so i lock the screen in case i touch the screen by mistake !
Well Shake to skip is kinda annoying.. Its more like the phone continually changes song and stuffs... How to remove that completely
