Can we still download paid apps for free from play store with our rooted phone?
can you make clear??
If you want paid app for free with rooted device?
then my all efforts vained.........
I'm guessing there are only two ways to interpet this question:
1) Can you download the apps you have already paid for for free through the google play store...this would be yes you paid for them you can download it as much as you like to your account.
2) Can you download apps that you have not paid for for free because the phone is rooted through the play store...this is warez asking for warez is prohibited on this forum and you could be banned.

Rooting your phone allows you access to ALL system functions and files. What you do after that is totally up to you! (i.e. custom ROM, recovery, etc.). But, no warez. We support devs here.

You might be able to do it but you will get no help on the matter here.
XDA is about supporting the developers and teaching people how to STEAL is not supporting the developers now is it?
Read the XDA rules before posting anything again please and thank you

Being a beginner is no excuse to ask for paid apps for free! Everybody knows this is theft! XDA supports developers, i suggest you do the same by purchasing the apps you use!

I'm brand new and hoping to get some advice if possible. I was able to root the phone with no problem thanks to the One Click Root Program so thank you to the Unlockr and to the thread on here.
Now, I'm not sure what to do about a custom ROM. I honestly just want to get rid of the AT&T bloatware. Other than that I have no requirements. I don't really care other than that as long as I can get rid of things that I don't want.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

since you got root, to remove att junks: install root explorer from android market and uninstall each junk manually. for custom firmware search forum for clockwork recovery (rom manager from market) and read instruction on op to install. gudluck

Download titanium backup which is free. It allows you to uninstall apps. Even system apps. Read and be careful. For the most part avoid all Google apps

Thank you! I appreciate the help so far.
I apologize for posting in the wrong section. I thought I was in the right place but that was my mistake.
This thread can be deleted. I was able to root it and get Cognition on it with no trouble.
Thank you to everyone involved with the development and donations will follow soon.
I've unzipped "update-cm-7.1.0-X8-signed.zip" and removed some of the apps I don't use and zipped it. I've done the following after putting ROM at rooT of SD. Wipe data & cache. Flashed the ROM. The flashing was fine and all. After that, I wanted to restore my apps using TB but and error message appeared saying that my Android ID changed.:crying: To restore, I need to get the donate version but don't have the cash. So, how do I restore my ID?
Aren't there a LEGITIMATE way to restore Android ID? I've searched around and read that there's an Android ID Changer but when I searched Google Play, nothing was found...

You don't need to restore your android ID :S you can restore your apps fine without having your old ID, just ignore the message.

Guys stop condoning the use of warez on XDA.
Buy the apps you need or try a free alternative.
This is a developers site, for developers. It's their choice to let joe public in to sample their work.
They can close this site to developers only so show some respect!
Reporting the lot of you!
Maybe it means the Build.ID from the build.prop
Check if you changed that.

Why don't you learn to read what I said?
You don't want to take the advice of the 2 different people trying to help you then TOO BAD FOR YOU
You clearly didn't even read what EITHER of us wrote.
DID YOU NOT SEE WHERE THE OTHER PERSON DIRECTED YOU TO GAPPS? DID YOU NOT SEE WHERE I SAID USE TITANIUM BACKUP? You can get the apk off of xda.
No one is going to upload the apk for play store. You have already been directed to gapps.
As a new member here on XDA, I promise you that you will not get the responses you desire if you refuse to even read what people who a trying to help you say.

Hi Folks,
I'm a smartphone newbie with an Optimus L90. I have some questions about rooting.
I've seen some articles that say that if you root your device you should be careful of automated ROM updates that will unroot your phone. How do most people approach these updates?
How often are these ROM updates necessary? Could I disable this feature & do this manually every month or so?
What about apps? If I manually updated these about every 2 weeks or month, would that be sufficient?
I realize that if I root this device I should only install trusted apps. To me this would mean Google Apps & Amazon, correct?
Regarding antivirus & security, this phone has LookOut running. I've seen some articles that say antivirus software is unnecessary. What are your thoughts on this? I wanted to change the settings for this program. However, I did not find a LookOut app in the apps area. How can these settings be changed?
Thanks,
Mark
What's the reason to root?
Just be careful and do nothing you don't understand. If possible make a backup of your system.
But first read on XDA and be informed

Root Question
Hello Bravho,
I've seen some info on the internet about these devices being more customizable when rooted. Although, you have an excellent point, I might not have to root. I thought maybe there would be a simple way to root & install a custom ROM on my phone. However, it seems in order to do this correctly I'll need to be more familiar with the OS. This means reading more of the posts on this forum & planning.
Thanks for taking the time to reply,
Mark

Updates for the L90 are NOT automatic, to my knowledge anyway. You must provide approval for the update to install. However, if you decide to flash a custom ROM such as CyanogenMod ( CM ), you won't have to worry about updates from LG

ROM updates roll out at irregular intervals, if they roll out at all. LG's L90 LG-D415 hasn't had an update as of yet, but several of the other variants have.

That really depends. With that line of thinking you'll have a very narrow list of applications available. If in doubt, don't install.

I've found it to be unnecessary. The only thing you can do to manage LookOut is to uninstall it. You must have root privileges to uninstall as it's installed as a system app.

Wow! Sorry, don't see many new people come here that actually have enough foresight to research before jumping in to modding their device. They usually jump straight in to modding without doing any research at all and then someone like me gets to explain how to fix what they messed up. :silly:
Rooting is fairly simple and straight forward. Flashing a custom recovery can be tricky for some as can flashing a ROM.

From what I understand, discussion and support for lucky patcher is prohibited/banned here on XDA, so u probably aren't gonna get much help here with that...

What I mean is, it's not JUST Lucky Patcher that is banned here. Any apps such as Lucky Patcher, Blackmart, OR Modded Google Play Store all fall into the same category as they can all be used to illegally gain paid apps without having to actually pay, which in turn screws the developers of said apps, and as XDA is a developers forum, it's pretty strictly prohibited for any support for these apps/programs..
This thread has been closed due to the reasons given above. Please remember to post according to the rules.
