Kindle Keyboard case - fits (almost) perfectly - Nexus 7 Accessories

Hello friends,
I just wanted to pop in here and mention that the case I use for my Kindle Keyboard / Kindle 3, by CrazyOnDigital (link), fits my Nexus 7 (almost) perfectly. It's only almost perfect because the elastic strap on the top right of the case covers the power button, and so it's not elegant to press. Other than that, it works great! Here are some pictures:

My friend uses his kindle case as well on his n7, his is a little different but he still faced the problem of the uncomfortable pressing of the power button. What he did is bought a roll of cut to length, self adhesive magnet strip. He cut a small slit in the lining of his case and ran a couple approx 1" long strips beside each other so they covered the area shown in this post here. the simply super glued them in place as well as super glued the slit shut, now it works as a smart cover. I will call him and ask him to text pics, or maybe upload a video of it working to show you. I would do it myself but he lives about 3 hours away.

please let me know about this product if anybody has got one. I ordered one, will be receiving tomoro.
i have this.
I like it when i use it but thats only on trips usually.
The design is a little bulky on the sides but on the positive side its very padded so as not to scratch the device.
I like the little flap/clip things on the bottom. it provides a lil extra support because when my phone is still in its stock case it fits a little wierd but has never falllen out of the holder. The flaps are also far enough apart they don't get in the way of the charging or 3.5 jack.
The base fits snug in my cup holder which is a plus...
You will need to slide the right side of the case down as it wil continue to hit your volume keys but overall, though the design is not the prettiest, its functional, i trust it to hold my HD2 and was pretty cheap considering some of the other holders i've ran into.
I bought mine expecting the worst and it's came in handy quite a bit, i don't think you'll be disappointed.

Targus Viewscape Kindle Fire Case for Nexus 7

Stopped by my local Marshall's today and found this case for $5.99. It fits the Nexus 7 perfectly. I had to fidget with the top and bottom clasp, but once it snapped in, it fits fine. It's easy in and out now too. It isn't a Smart Case with Wake function, but I'm probably going to get a small magnet strip and attach it to the inside for the function.
For $6, it gets the job done. Overall, I'm happy with this case. For the price, you can't beat it.
You can purchase this case at Amazon.com for $19.99 if you don't find it locally.

Both the Power/Volume and the USB/Headphone ports aren't covered and easily accessible.
Nexus sits perfectly in the clasps.
I really really wanted to get the Tumi Bluetooth Keyboard since it comes with a pouch that fits the Nexus and the Keyboard perfectly, but it's $125. The keyboard is maybe a 1/4 inch at the most longer than the Nexus 7. It's nice, but not at that price.
Thanks OP, ill try to score one for $6 till something amazing comes out

It came without packaging (only a plastik bag), so here are photos without "packaging":

The pen can also write on REAL paper...

The case has an integrated magnet, so the device gos into standby if its closed. The cover of the case is made out of 3 parts, so i can make a triangle out of it, so the nexus 7 stands like a screen:
All in all, the case doesnt look like high quality, but it does his job, protected my nexus 7 from a scratch in the screen and i love the feeling of the synthetic leather.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures, if you did, leave a thanks
Hello,
how are you satisfied with this case after some time ?
I am interested mainly in magnet strength. How strong is it ? Wont it "self-open" when i put it in my bag ?
Also some tearing and damage after use ?
Do you reccomend it ?

!!!DO NOT USE!!! a magnetic buckle case

Do not use a magnetic buckle case for Note II, especially the kind with the magnet embedded inside the back of the case, like this one:

It will make the sPen unable to draw on the area near the magnet (when the phone is attached to the case), like this:
The problem is gone once I detached the phone from the case. Who knows if it would harms the phone in the long run if I don't.
My solution is giving it a surgery, remove the magnet and replace with velcro and I'm happy again :
ok thank you !
chip ass cases
Am on a case hunt. Thanks for the info
Thank you for your review as i was using one magnetic case, which i stopped using now.
Thanks!
The magnet won't hurt the phone, but the s-pen is being powered by magnetic resonance (just like any wacom pen). So, a strong magnet behind the screen might conflict with that.
My solution is: don't use the pen

Modifying the OEM charger - what's inside?

So I changed my band yesterday but it's a bit too chunky to fit on the charger flush. I love the strap and don't want to change it to a slimmer one - I just wondered if anyone had cracked open the charger to see what's inside. Ultimately what I want to be able to do is shave off a 22mm wedge from the top and bottom to allow the strap to fit into it - but I don't know if there's anything critical in there which might interfere with it...
Cracked mine open, y'know, for science.

Looks like I could quite happily do what I need with no issue other than making it look ugly. However, turns out that I can make the watch fit without it...so this internal image is just a bonus for those interested. Disassembly is easy.
Peel off the rubber ring from the bottom.
There are 3 tiny crosshead screws to remove. Then it's a case of inserting a thin screwdriver in between the outside and inside parts and prising it open. There are little notches which you can use to get purchase on it. That's pretty much it.
