I am just curious as to how much people REALLY spent on their Nexus 7 which may include sales tax, accessories, return shipping costs... etc. Below is what I REALLY spent on my Nexus 7:
Nexus 7 - $249.99
Sales Tax - $20.62
ZAGG InvisibleShield - $29.94 (here's your cue, trolls!)
ZAGG InvisibleShield Installation - $20
Nexus 7 Return Shipping USPS Small Flat Rate Box - $5.15
ZAGG InvisibleShield Replacement Shipping - $5.99
ZAGG InvisibleShield Replacement Installation - $20
TOTAL: $351.69*
*Does NOT include the stress from dealing with J&R and MacMall and my delayed pre-orders, ASUS with returning the first Nexus 7 with blown speakers after a month and all the gas used to drive around town.
With almost $400 spent on this device (including gas), I'm still very much in love with my Nexus 7.
- Traded away Compaq 515 Notebook (was free), Xbox 360 Arcade + 4GB HDD + Rock Band equipment + other games for a new Galaxy Tab
- Sold Galaxy Tab + $1 Stylus for $219
- Bought Nexus 7 for $225 (or however much it was from Play Store)
- Bought Case for $6
- Bought Controller for $5
- Bought USB OTG Cable for $1
Hmmm...
249.99 Nexus 7
18.13 Sales tax
5.95 TPU case
9.49 Sleeve
2.14 Micro USB cable
(87.50) Gamestop credit for iPod Touch at the end of its useful life
(25.00) Play Store credit
(10.00) Google Wallet credit
163.20
Plus a few bucks for gas to deal with exchanges. Say about $170 total. I'm counting the Play Store and Wallet credit because that represents money I would have spent anyway.

£199.99 for the 16GB. That's it. Don't need any more!
Sold: HP Touchpad -$275
Bought: Nexus 7 $200
Sales Tax: $ 14
Screen Protector $ 4

So in all, I got paid $49 to switch my Touchpad for a Nexus 7. I'm no scientist, but I think thats a fantastic deal :/
P.S. It was a 16gb Touchpad with Leather Acase
I paid $249.99 at Walmart, no taxes in NH. But I did spend extra on gas on 5 separate trips, exchanging it for a perfect one.

Hi,
I just ordered this case from Best Buy after seeing in on Dells web sight. BB's sale price is half off (19.99) plus tax and shipping (they offer free in store pick-up).
Is anyone using this case yet? It looks nice
DjL
While at BB I bought the Targus Zierra for 19.99 but plan to exchange for the Truss because it is bulky.

Here are a few pics of the cases I'm using with my Nexus 7...
The case logic was purchases from Walmart as a stop gap while I waited for the others to arrive (12 bucks). The shocksock was purchased from an eBay dealer in the UK for 10 bucks. The tpu cases are from Amazon and were about 5 bucks each
The shocksock is my favorite. Fits perfectly and the top stretches. The nexus 7 can't slip out even when its upside down. I have a feeling these where originally billed as shocksocks for galaxy tabs and the dealer just made another auction with nexus 7 in the name, but it really does fit perfectly.

I have a similar case. Not bad for the price, but I'd get something with a sturdier stand... this one flops over pretty easily.

I just purchased screen protectors (almost free) and cases (80% off).
Skinomi's screen protector covers edge to edge.
It is free on Amazon AC. Amazon Prime free shipping, not in stock now but will be stock on 4/15.
Skin (screen + back) is available now but not amazon prime so you pay the shipping but very cheap.
For coupon code and information,

Verus Cases 80% off now
I purchased three cases.
- thin clear case (product named drop protection)
- Wallet Case (Warm Gray)
- Another Wallet Special Edition
You have to buy at once to apply 80% for all. If you use the coupon, you cannot use it again.
I had to ask my friend for more purchase after purchasing one case.
FYI,

I bought a verus heavy drop protection case and the code worked perfectly. Total cost was like four bucks and free shipping since I have prime. Awesome thank you.
