Cheap extended batteries

Amazon has several extended batteries for next to nothing ($7 to $14). My wife wants to get one for her Mogul, but I'm a little hesitant to buy one of these. Can anyone here attest to their quality, or should I spend the extra and go with Seidio or another more trustworthy brand?
Also, while I'm at it, what's a good hard case that supports extended batteries? I found the thread on the Seidio one, but the link took me to their main site and I couldn't find the actual case anywhere.

I have always bought cheap batteries from Ebay with no problems but not for my 6800 yet. I have had one fail where one cell in the battery seemed to die. I had no problem buying a new one since I still wasn't paying OEM pricing still.

I bought one a few months ago and it has recently started to expand when it gets hot. This morning when I unplugged it from my laptop, the battery door popped off. Needless to say, I have another one, from another manufacturer, already bought and on the way.

Ebay housings

Anyone who bought new housing parts from Ebay and changed already? I'm wondering what quality it is on this low priced parts. Here in Sweden, a battery cover is about $30 compared to what you get on Ebay for that amount, a complete cover (touch screen excluded).
My phone is a year now and has scratches all over. With another year on my contract left i thought I should do a refurbish and also put on a Invisible Shield ( http://www.invisibleskinz.com/ ) for another happy X1 year.

There's also housings for the X1 from www.cnn.cn ; can't speak on the quality for the X1, but I've gotten a few other sony ericsson housings from there - they are decent.

Thanks for the link, had a quick look and they are naming the parts "oem" (Original Equipment Manufacturer) as some sellers on Ebay. Not sure if I can believe that but thanks again, adress is now bookmarked.

i purchased one from ebay, and i will never again unless its oem. very cheap and its not oem. does not fit properly and i actually i had glue something that should have been done. its worth going to cnn.cn and getting the housing for 79.99 other than the 25$ that i spent and actually messed up my x1i.

It looks like most of the posts in this forum are for covers - should've looked here earlier.
I tend to abuse my phones pretty badly - I usually buy a case, but since the options were slim for the Focus when I bought it, I haven't had one. The other day I put the phone in my pocket with keys and the back cover took a beating.
Anyone found a place to buy a replacement back cover? I figured they would be available by now, but I haven't seen any other than one on eBay that's up to $37 at this point.
I tried calling Samsung's mobile accessories / replacement parts line, but no one seems to pick up.

I have one from a focus I sold for parts. I dont know how you would want to do a transaction but id sell it for 20 dollars.

I definitely need to locate a back cover also.

Hi guys. I too broke my back cover.
I called Samsung, and leveraged my way all the Corporate Help Center through yelling at 3 supervisors.
Samsung unfortunately are not producing back cover replacements at this time. :/
However, I went to the AT&T store and spoke to the manager. He gave me a back cover from Focus that was returned to them and said they do that all time, try that. :]

I saw some back covers on sale on ebay for around $20

I too am looking for the cover and can only find it on the site mentioned above. I contacted the site above and explained my situation and they were basically no help whatsoever. I called Samsung and they said they aren't selling them yet. Please let us know if you happen to find one.

I found a repair shop that will sell the cover. It's blueridgewireless .com. They said they'd have to order it and it would take a couple weeks to get to them. It's $35 plus shipping. I'm ordering one today and will let you know how it goes.

Good find! I've been searching for the last 2 weeks day in and day out with no luck. I've already ordered mine and should have it in a couple weeks.

I think you can't find them anywhere. The only way to get them is by sending your phone back where you bought it and then they'll send it to LG. You can find spare parts for example on eBay but they will never be original.
Tell me if I'm wrong

I bought my replacement screen, digitizer, and battery from Witrigs. $90 after shipping, took 2 weeks to get to Texas from China. worked great until last week when it decided it didnt like being 1 piece, and the screen cracked for no reason.

They don't specify if it is OEM or not, but the fit and finish is superb!

I was able to get a lens cover replacement for mine on Amazon.
It was $6 and cheaper than getting a whole new back plate. Installation was simple once I got the phone pried open.
