Need help with a theme - Android Themes

Yes I need help editing a theme. The theme I installed on my phone makes certain apps have the same text color as the background color making it impossible to read. I've tried using ninjamorph to edit the affected apps but I can't figure it out or if someone could edit the theme itself for me to install since I'm not good at it at all I'd appreciate it.
The affected apps so far is:
Meetme (myyearbook)
Pro wrestling.net
Also the notification background is pretty close to the text color as well.
I'd like to be able to just edit the text color to make it a brighter more noticeable color. Anyone have any assistance they could provide?

You can't use Ninja morph to edit the xmls color, only replace them it the are compiled... since ninjamorph doesn't decompile the xmls are pretty much unreadable. If you send me the what you have and the color you want the text to be I can change it for you.

Help find a file name

I have a Htc Evo with sence rom, and I need help finding a file name/png. I have been ripping apart themes to make my own. I am kinda stuck, when I go to my contacts, the text is white on white. I want to darken up the background png. I can't seem to find it. I have seen other themes and roms have this built into them. The phone.apk has black text on white background. I can get what I need from there but would like the issue fixed..... thanks for any help.

Help inverting Settings.apk

Gingerbread 2.3
I am currently looking to find a way to invert the settings menu. All the white bothers me. I have decompiled it and searched the pngs, and see none that represent a similar greyish white, so I feel it may not be a png. If it is, anyone know what png or where?
I know the menu_list.xml has a value for background = #ffffffff, which does match white. I change that to black (#ff000000) and menu_item.xml has an entry for TextAppearanceLarge, which does represent white text. I add inverse to switch to black text.
After compiling and adding to my phone, I can not find any physical changes. So I edited some of the text in the /values/strings.xml and test again. Now I see a change, but only change I see is to the text I changed. So no clue what the menu_list and item change. And still at square 1.
Any one have any input how to theme settings.apk?

I'm not to bothered about the counter color. The thing that I would like to mod is the orange high light when you hit the SMS unread icon. Has anyone changed this so there is no color at all when you select it

No, but I can tell you that the highlight is a .9 png in the res/drawable folder.
I saw a black/white one today, hopefully gomorrah will be kind enough to stop by and post them

[request]No bubble, just the digit, please.
I would like to see this widget with only the digit visible, no bubble, no outer ring or glass effect.
I have posted on the "Transparent widget skins" thread -->here but I think quite heavy coding is required. Only managed to remove the glass effect of the bubble.
There is a work around for this using Minimalistic text and Tasker, so it is not a problem for me, but would be nice to see a free and easier alternative.
Also, it will require some digging in the "Post your screen shot" threads but the black bubble mod is there somewhere.
Here's a gold one and orange one, although they are very similar.
Okay, I've figured out how to mod the bubble color, but I can't figure out the text color.
Here's pink with white text and black with white text.
Transparent might be tough, because the bubble is RGB and not ARGB, so there is no alpha value control transparency.
I'll keep trying for for text color and transparency.
Awesome guys, thank you!

Install them like any regular app. If you already have SMS Unread Count on your phone, it should just update with the new color.
Thanks, exactly what I was looking for!

The folder you need is a subfolder of the data folder on the SD card. You should put them in "sdcard/data/com.kanokgems.smswidget/".
If it doesn't exist, create it.
ty very much. didnt even notice the folder was there

Droid 3 png loations

Making this thread for people that are trying to do some subtle self theming on their own, without a ROM. (There really isn't a whole lot of themed ROMS out anyways, monsteRom is the only one i think.) you can find monsterROM in the general section.
Anyways let's say you are using ninjamorph and you want to change the 3g icon on your droid 3 but can't find it. come here post what you need someone may help.

I'm experimenting with some theming, I cooked up one in the uot kitchen but not all the changes seemed to work. Some the signal bar indicator didn't change and the text colour for notification items(all other text colours changed) also the background in the pull down curtain. I found the icons, and the new icons are in there, but don't show on the phone. How do I make them the default icons? Also if anyone knows which XML sets the text colour and how I can fix the background it would be appreciated.

As for changing the icons just editing them should work. Are you using ninja morph? And what do you mean "fix the background"

Although I changed the pull down notification bar background in uot, it still has that moto blue.

So if I want to change one set of icons for another, I need to rename the new set to overwrite the old set?

[Q] Color text

Hi! Who could help me to change the color gray to white to this framework please
http://www.casimages.es/i/131214082622979516.jpg.html
I left the file here: https://app.box.com/s/4fak7yy6wxb61zzctflj
Thank you!!!
you have a custom rom, light themed?
you have to understand, if you change something inf ramework-res.apk...probably it will affect another app then. its quiet impossible to have no problems.
i think it would be easier to change the walkman background to a light color.
edit, you can also try to look into semcmusic.apk for change the textcolor, maybe you can define that inside the .xml's
also in the walkman apk you can finde out where the textcolor gets the color from. for example if its defined in the walkman apk, or in framework-res?
search a bit on xda, read a bit, and then try out yourself. you shouldnt be able to break something...
havent that much time here
Does anyone know how to change the color in textfields when they are selected and the keyboard is shown?
Did some nice theme but this is my single error :/
Tried to find the corresponding line in styles.xml but didnt have any luck..
