I would like to know how it work the new partition scheme in Cm10.
After installing some apps, the tab report me that there is no space left on device.there's something they I miss?
Or I have to move all the app to sd card?
Someone could explain me why this change? I would just know what's the best way to use the new Rom

there are thread saying...G1 SCREEN....BOOT SCREEN...but a blue screen after both of those?
Wow I feel as though people who don't want to help themselves shouldn't ask for and/or receive any help from anyone... why should we answer your question when it has been many times over? Please give one reason? You already have the fact that you posted a question in the wrong forum......
Q&A section is where you want to be!! That Help Me !!
is it an entire blue screen or is it the screen that has android with blue scrolling across it.
Did you reflash a rom after reformating your card?
Did you sacrifice kittens before flashing?

hahaha, yea I forgot that was the most important step.
Sorry to post such a stupid question here. I'm really new in this field and I had read many of the faqs but could really find this info. Does flashing new roms delete all other data such as contacts, photos, music etc? I do know some rom might delete the entire system including the settings and apps, but I wish some people here could confirm my question. Thanks and sorry again for this stupid question.
Do you know what xda, forums, threads, sub-forums,search option, pm,etc etc is?
Depending on how the ROM was made, example Doc's rom starting from version 5 can do an update w/o deleting anything.

Thats a bit harsh its only their 1st post.
Contacts are saved via your google account so when you sign back in they are resync'd with your phone and gallery pics wont be wiped unless you format internal SD card.

I've been searching for hours, including google etc. As I couldn't find any direct answers in regards to my question mark, so I figured perhaps I could post it here to get some replies. And besides, I didn't know anyone here for me to pm. So I posted this. If it offends you, I'm sorry.

Does asking a question in right section hurt?
it's is possible to use this script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859419 for Nexus One? it's implemented in RoDrIgUeZsTyLe™ MIUIMOD, but i would like to use it for CM-based ROM...
I'm not sure I believe it is possible for nexus one because I saw a link to it somewhere in the rod's miui thread (not sure about cm7 though). But I'm not advising it because I'm not sure if you want to try it you can but can I ask why not just stick with darktremor a2ext?
I didn't look for it otherwise i'd post the link for you (i'm a bit lazy to be honest)
If you look for data2ext there should be another thread and I'm about 90% sure you can use it. No harm can really be done if it fails, just some time wasted! See if you can find that thread, it first began as a project then it worked (I think that's the thread!!)

you mean this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=864174 ?
i know about it, but it doesn't work for me. thanks anyway
Why not just use darktremor http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715940 it works fine for me.
The smell of fail is strong in this thread... If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't use it. The wrong thing would probably brick your phone.
I think he wants to use data to ext not apps to ext guys

you can brick your phone doing this? I thought this kind of process was reversible

If all he wants is his data stored on the sdext partition, just use DarkTremor's latest beta. It does that, and temasek is using it on his N1 right now (unless he changed it).
Hello
I am a total newbie in regards to this.
I was wondering if creating a swap partition can help improve the phone performance and/or what other use can you give to it?
Also, how do you accomplish this?
Thank you!

Please press Thanks button if helped ^^
Swap can improve the phone performance, since the phone will use some of the SD Card memory as "RAM", but this "RAM" will be much slower, but the drawback is that it may reduce the SD Card life, since the phone will use the SD Card all the time. I don't know what other use you can give it. Sorry
You can download an app to do this here:
Google Play.
You need root to use it.
If you want further information look here:
Thanks for your reply, seems then there's not much use for it.
I have been digging around for a good ROM for my phone, but I cannot see any that supports the one I have (M) .
Would you be able to recommend any?
Thank you!

Your S5830M is exactly the same as S5830I, so you can use S5830I ROMs, but I'm NOT 100% sure. See this thread, page 2:
Here.
Since I don't have a S5830M i can't recommend you, sorry. If you go to S630i development here, you will find tons of them.
Hope it helped, press Thanks button if so.
Hi all
I wanna thank This Forum For Helping me to Mange all my Android Phones And Tablet That I'm using..
Recently I Manged to Make my wife to use An android phone ( Samsung ACE s5830i ) as a first step to make here a fan of android Samsung instead of NOKIA
i found a big problem that happened with me before that the internal memory is very small and i couldn't install so much programmes from the store so i used an old trick that i used be4 with my android VPAD 7 which is:
1. make root to the phone ( you will find it in the development section)
2. i used a 4 GB microSD card formatted it to 2 partions primary FAT32 ( the 2nd one is 1024 mb).
3. put it on phone and install the LINK2SD program from the market. when it 1st open it will ask for the second portion type choose FAT32.
4. it will relink many files the belong to the internal memory to the SD card and also you can install the proggrames to the SD card but not all programes the supported ones
this will save alot of space on the internal memory
I hope that Help

Keep the guides coming if you think it's helpful ^_^
Try searching first, tho - if you find none, go ahead! If you do, and think it's important to bring it back to attention, feel free to share it in the off topic thread, or bump the topic with new information (a note that you're aware of bumping and doing it for a good reason is usually a good idea).

You can still post guides, but please first search for a thread which does the same as your guide.
btw, my 1000th post *party*
