Hi everyone!
Thank you for all your hard work to making our diamond a little closer to perfection!! I love it almost to much.....
Well I'm wondering if it would be possible to add a tab that would have a bunch of (in lack of a better word) search widgets. For example i'd love to have like:
wikipedia search
IMDB search
Google search
Thank you all
Adam
Seeing as these would have to open the browser anyway you could just make a HTML page to do this and store it on your device then keep it as your homepage in the browser.
Good idé, I'll try it out and maybe return with some followup questions
hi. this is something i used do with my vario (wm6). if i find a tel number on the internet or google maps i would copy it and then just paste it in the telephone keypad view.seems its not possible on the compact IV? please let me know if theres a way, not need to look for a pen... thanks
I wish some of you lot would search a bit harder... this one's been done to death now:
Search: Key Word(s): paste dialer ; Forum: Diamond and child forums.
Anyway, you'll need to upgrade to a 1.93 variant... previous ROMs didn't have the feature... There is no other way.
searching
thanks. but at least for me the Search does not work on this website. might be due Linux/Firefox... not sure. Everytime search for something, use keywords press Search/submit, never get any results! tried so many times but it just doesent work!? im sure there are others W same prob??
try rightclicking Search and open in new tab
firefox works fine in linux for searching,
does anyone know of an app where it reads out what you type? i searched a whole bunch of combinations of words and phrases to describe and app like this, and couldnt find anything
does TTS do it?
TTS, the one in the marketplace, is a library that Charles Chen provided for developers to use with their apps.
There's nothing like global TTS yet on Android yet. That would have to be built into the rom.
But for your purposes, this might work: http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.imt11.translator
I think I know what you are talking about, do a search for "Speaking Pad" in the market or on Cryket's site.
{A talking notepad for Android. This notepad will speak what you type. This application uses the TTS (Text-To-Speech) library for Android.}
thanks for both of your suggestions
both apps are great. speaking pad is exactly what i was looking for....how if i could only change the voice
thanks again!
Hi guys.
I am wondering, if someone can help me.
I made a spreadsheet from excel.
A sort of calculator but with preset values.
It works great as it is, but of course not on my android ( Samsung GIO ).
Not even with curtain aps who works with excel.
Now i am thinking is it doable to create a stand alone ap wat does the same thing?
With the same collors, values and buttons.
I would be very greatfull if somebody could help me out or even build it.
I tried to make a download link, hope it works

No, its is about building a App.
A sort of progrom/app like that spreadsheet but than as a standalone ( not as excel but realy as a standalone proggy ).
Hi,
Apologies if this has been covered, I've searched the forum and also general Google but couldn't find information.
Is it possible to limit the library or to put priority on words with voice recognition? i.e. if there is only certain names etc is it possible to manually give them priority? Or is it something that I just have to wait until I've used them enough and Google "learns" the ones that I want?
Thanks
Nick

NO
Pretty straight forward, if this is how you try to help, better don't do it.
Voice recognition depends on the language you are using and the language you speak, if you have it settled to English but your mother language is other then its probably your diction, voice recognition its pretty complicated for software.
