Let's hope that the Nexus 7 makes the list. It will probably be a super expensive case, but it would be a nice one for sure.

Love that case. I'd buy one. There are no cases that I like for this yet though...sucks.

Yeah, I'd hate to say it, but I'd probably buy one too. With the cost of their phone cases, they might try and pull a ridiculous price for a 7inch tablet tough. The case may end costing more then the tablet lol
Dam they look sick!!!!!

Holy crap at the price.
You can get 2-year warranty from squaretrade for probably a fourth the cost. And that will protect the screen (a trick that I have yet to see a case emulate without a thick plastic sheet). And you won't look like one of those "fake carbon fiber makes me look... cool?" people...

Anyone try it? is that really about to put Nexus 7 to sleep?
I ordered a blue one on the 10th and it is still showing "shipping soon." may want to try another cover or color if you need it sooner rather than later.
I ordered black and blue case too!

Waiting on the official one to be available again. I can't spend money to put my precious tablet in a case that looks like it was made for cell phones in the 90's. I don't know what it is but all leather cases just look cheap and crappy to me.

Agreed. Looks like something for an old Nokia.
Sorry guys, but is it just me or does everyone in this forum have horrible taste? Every case I see is uglier than the next. This is no exception. Why would you want to add so much bulk? The leather and details look cheap.

So you would prefer one that seems to be all plastic?

I would prefer one like the ipad covers. A simple, classy flap across the screen to protect it from the contents of my backpack, briefcase, laptop bag, or pocket. The brushed aluminum sides and plastic-rubber back don't need anything and look premium on their own. Bonus points if it can be rolled up into a stand like the ipad covers.
I'd prefer a good quality plastic case over the PU 'leather' ones. Though there's a thin amount of split hide sandwiched in there somewhere, the textured polyurethane outer coating doesn't look or feel like real leather to me. I think it turns a nice looking device into something that looks chunky and ugly. Also, the PU covers won't wear like leather (which looks better over time). Instead they are likely to delaminate, have the coating flake off, and look crappy.
+1000, those cases that completely cover it in fuax leather. yuk...
I'm waiting for the Asus case because nothing beats OEM. I think my beautiful Nexus 7 deserves something that enchances its looks and not ruins it. I wouldn't mind a leather or faux leather Asus built case either. I think in the time to come we will be seen a lot of accessories everywhere for our device. Don't rush and buy junk.
Both the black leather Apple smart Cover and the Blackberry Playbook Convertible cases are superb IMO.

I actually owned the Playbook and the Convertible case from Blackberry. It was an awesome case and very well made. That's the reason why I prefer OEM. It's always better.
How are you guys protecting your screen during transportation if you don't have a cover. I agree with the comments about all the ugly cases...wow.

I am still using the plastic wrap the tablet came in when I bought the Nex7. But just ordered up a screen protector and will use that soon and no case.

I really need help with this. There's so many cases on Amazon, but I don't know which one is good.
It has to be around the $10 price range, it can be a little over or under. Under preferred.
My Nexus had been naked since I got it in July, let's dress it up.

That's the case I have as well. Paid like $5 for it on eBay and it works great. Not to bulky but feel like it would absorb a fall from 3-4 feet just fine.

Fit nice, and I like how it sticks to the tablet instead of having to tuck it inside.
Only $4.99.

I just got this case in the mail today. You all might remember the kick starter that happened a few months back for this case. Well, I backed it and thought that I would share my thoughts on my bamboo case.
First things first, this case just looks really good on the Nexus 7. The wood look is something that I really dig. All the cut outs are there except for the pogo pins...like we'll ever see that fabled dock anyways. The materials are simple; bamboo and felt. In the event that your tablet falls from your hands, I feel as though this case would be able to protect your shiny tablet. I will not, however be doing a drop test with my device for obvious reasons. Just trust me when I say the case feels solid. I like that the case covers the bevel and is particularly thick for extra protection around the craptastic plastic bevel. I've heard horror stories of people busting their Nexus 7 from slight drops on the bevel.
Some negatives about this case...I am not a huge fan of the two piece design and having friction hold the case together, but I will say that it feels solid and like they won't just fall apart on you during daily use. The tab part on the bottom portion of the case which acts as the tab to hold the two pieces together is paper thin. I feel as though this is the biggest flaw of the case. I guarantee I will probably bust that part on accident and then my $44 dollar case will be nothing more than trash. And yes, I did say $44 dollar case. Bamboo grows like a weed and isn't quite worth that much money. Felt? Inexpensive. I understand these are all handmade and sanded, but I do feel like maybe $44 is a little much to pay for this case. Drop it by $10 and I'd be a happy camper.
Overall, I'd say I can recommend this case for style factor and protection. However, I would say if you are going to be taking the case on and off a lot...maybe look elsewhere for a case or just be careful of the paper thin connecting tab.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask away.

Does it work for the nexus 7 3g???
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I don't see why it wouldn't. As far as I know, the wifi version and the 3G version are identical when it comes to cases. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
EDIT: I just read a different thread that says they moved the microphone on the side a bit. So...the cutout isn't quite right. You could always contact 10 terra and ask if they plan to make a version for the 3G.

That would be easy, Since it is wood.

Bamboo is actually a type of grass so drilling/machining is more challenging than dealing with wood. There might be enough space inside the case for the mic to still pick up sound though.
Bamboo may grow fast but the price is mostly about all the machining and finishing.

Oh ho.... So tempting. Just concerned about the lack of a Pogo opening... How hard is it to insert/remove? Would it hold its grip after being removed/inserted many times over?

Good News
Finally a quality case for the Nexus 10...I'm tired of the cheap stuff on Amazon..:victory:
Cases on Amazon are cheap but they work. How can anyone justify paying $110 for a case? I'd rather buy a Moko case for $6 and invest the remaining $104 on my next toy.

Agreed, I think that's ridiculous and they don't even look that great. That's just an opinion though
I've been waiting for either this or the never-will-be-released-by-google case that you see in the official videos. I can't justify spending over a hundred dollars, but I'll definitely be getting the standard book case.
I was reading that Google is looking to open some retail stores.... Given the fact that they release next to no accessories for their Nexus products, I'm trying to figure out how these stores won't be barren wastelands with just a few phones and tablets on display.
Looks nice but I can't even imagine how uncomfortable it is

I 100% agree with you. I use the Moko ultra slim (currently $5.99 on Amazon) and it's fantastic. To each his own I guess.
I am certainly considering getting the leather case for it.
I am more wondering if the next Nexus 10 will have similar dimensions that I can just reuse this case for.
What do you guys think the odds are that google will change the dimensions of their next 10.1 device or two?
This case has the gel inside the corners to hold the tablet in place, I would venture you could put something smaller in there and the gel would still allow for a relatively snug fit.
Good lord. More than a hundred for a case? I bought my used 32gb nexus 7 for 175. I got two Moko cases for 12 bucks.

That thing is an inch thick. Why? Might as well carry a leather binder and just throw the tablet in there. Then you at least have some business cards, a pen, etc.

The tablet sits in a wood base, that's probably why it is so thick.

I sooooo want one, but I configured it up past $180!
I purchased one yesterday. Decided to get the bookcase over the leather one.
The leather looked amazing, but I felt I would get more bang for my buck with the bookcase.
At first I thought the bookcase was made of the fake pleather that most other cases has, but really, its meant to be built just like a hardcover book which is pretty cool.
When I get it I will let you guys know what I think.
I look at it this way. Just to get an opening for the camera costs the same as my perfectly functional poetic slimline....
.....I'll pass
Just got mine today...VERY nice case...it is the quality I was looking for in a case. The Nexus fits snugly with no problems and all the buttons and ports are accessible. If you can get passed the price you won't be disappointed...

what about the pogo charger port? is the port usable on the portenzo case? need to know for this is the deal breaker for me.
I've had my nexus 7 for around 3-4 months, never really used it much but now I'm getting hooked to it. Ive got a standard folio type case for it but dont really like it as the flap constantly gets in the way.
Has anyone seen a snap on type of case that is leather. An example of what I mean is something like whats attached but for nexus 7 of course. I cant seem to find one but maybe on of you guys could help me? Thanks
All my phones and tablet/phablet have these leather case :

Noreve is indeed the best. I have Noreve cases for all my devices and would never look back.
Yes but I didn't want a case with a flap as I've already got one, I just wanted a case that would snap on the back but was leather
To be honest....the back of the n7 already has that leathery/rubbery premium feel about it. That's why I haven't seen one around yet cuz it's kinda pointless to protect the back of the n7.
I reckon ebay/amazon but i'm sure you would've checked there anyways
I got a plastic back only snap on case for my HTC Evo View 4G and when I moved to the Nexus 7 I got one for it. I agree with the OP and like the extra protection without the bother and bulk of a more traditional case. I.I too would prefer leather or even naugahide but unfortunately I could only find textured plastic ones. They aren't shiny nor plastic-y with the sand like finish. Bought on eBay. If you want but can't find it I can try to get a valid url.

I still these things at a pretty high volume, for retail, but I can't get a single custom case for it. I carry it in a small, but oversized, Case Mate, Netbook case. Of course, Amazon has a ton of cheap cases- but, cases are one of those items I try before I buy.
