it happens to me one time, I pulled out the charger for 20 seconds and its was ok...
That's not a problem, its just like that.
The pc it's not so "strong" (500 mA) as the normal charger (1.2A).
Don't worry, be happy

Of course I have the notification, it's normal.
What it's not normal is receive the same notification in a normal charger.
Even when I charge with the Samsung Wave GT-S8500, with 0.7A the phone don't give any notification, it just charge normally.
Try to use other charger and see if the problem remains, check the output cause if it's 0.5A the notification will appear as well.

Same's happening to me. LG has changed my phone via warranty and this phone is saying slow charging from normal charger. I tried using different chargers but it keeps appearing. While iI watch mvies on my phone the battery goes down even it's on the charger.
EDIT; I figured it out it all depends on the phone's temperature. If it's too hot it will never charge that fast to avoid the heat. I wouldn't care about it but it simply annoys me that I can't play or watch movies continously.
Is there anyone else with this issue or already fixed it? I flashed 10e yesterday and i started getting it too.

No, why?
By the way i found this option within the hidden menu that says unlimited temperature while charging. I didnt take note of the directory but its there somewhere. Since turning it on i hasnt seems to get any usb charging while on ac. Might be the fix, idk.

mine sometimes charges with slow charging notification... dont know why... but maybe it's because the heat like you mentioned...
Mine to but when I disconnect charger and connect again it's ok.

Maybe I solved the problem of slow charging. You must use a higher quality (thick) cable USB.
I had such a problem, two months after purchase. But I used unoriginal cable between charging and phone.

For me was a little hardware related problem, i solve it performing the following procedure, in the port of the phone, with a little blade screwdriver got a little up the middle connector as described in the attached image, and for the cable did a small narrowing in the micro USB connector, so you can see in the pictures, I hope will be help.
PDT.
Was also having problems connecting the phone to pc, I hope will be helpful.

Slow Charging
I had the same issue.. I am currently on stock rom 20a and this issue started to appear after I flashed the stock rom. After a lot of RnD on difference forums, I tried every possible thing.... changed the charger (wall charger), changed the cable, even tried charger with higher output, reflashed the rom...but nothing worked..... considering the last resort of using the blade screw driver and tried straightning the pin inside the phone and guess what.....it finally worked.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I got a USB cable today. Plugged it in my pc and tab, but I honestly cant see if charging or not. Sometime comes a large battery icon, but when pressing button it goes black

A PC will charge it very slowly. You need to plug it into a wall charger. You probably didn't brick it. See if you can get a USB wall charger from somewhere. Usually Blackberry chargers have a USB port that you can plug the cable into.
Using my HTC usb charger, thanks! So I just have to wait now?

Yeah, pretty much. I don't think backing up your Tab would have bricked it, even if the battery died mid-backup since you're reading from memory (internal), not modifying it.
Ehm, to be precise, I pressed "Reboot System", a samsung logo popped out, I waited a long time and it didnt change so i turned it off. Dont hope it's bricked
Just what!? I've charged it for about an hour and have litterly tried everything, this suck big time! It just wont start

Just plugging it in HTC charger gives you almost nothing! Original Samsung charger has a "trick" inside - it has pins 2 and 3 of its USB output connector shortened, and on top of that it has also 2 resistors between these pins and +5 and GND pins. When you plug the cable in common charger the tab does not "understand" that now it must take full power from the charger and does not charge the battery actually (it should take appr 1 A current from the original charger for 4 hours to be fully charged). You should get an original charger, or get a special adapter connected between your HTC charger and tab's cable (I have seen some at Amazon.de), or to make an adapter yourself.
PS. There is a strong recommendation: never do any programing, flashing, backup or restore with battery discharged below 80%, better to do it with charger connected.
Thanks, good to know, however the orginal is lost.. so can i still use the HTC but it will take longer or?

I am afraid the tab will "think" that there is no charger at all. Connecting it to USB port of PC may give a result after several hours (very-very slow charging). Why don't you think over getting (or making) an adapter?!
Will defo get one, but then I would have wait till monday
Don't think i can make one

Actually I have made this adapter in 20 minutes (but I am formerly an electronic engineer, though).
Well, then try to connect it to PC for the whole night (do not forget to keep PC running ), maybe it works out...
First try to run it, if it hangs, try CWM/restore, if it is bricked - re-flash it.
Good luck!
Thanks alot, really! Will report back tomorrow. Again tanks
Just to be clear, when it's charged, does the battery icon have to be there all the time? It does disappear after some while when it's connected
Battery icon disappears in several seconds when the tab is switched off. Short pressing on power on button shows it again for some while. Moving dots under icon show charging in progress.
When the tab is fully charged it makes a short sound.
When the tab "understands" that it is connected to a charger, it also makes a short sound.
PS. After recovering the unit I recommend to install Battery Watch from the Market - it has a widget and you will always know the state of battery etc. And you can see a graph showing a battery behavior. And this application is on top of that shouting - "Charging started!", "Charging complete!", which is funny...
Guess mine doesn't charge?

Sorry for delay - no, it does not charge... the reason was explained.
Yeah i see now. Thanks for taking you time. Defo appreciated
Just for reference, do NOT turn your GTab on while charging from a pc. It won't charge at all. Keep it turned off, and then wait for like 9 hours (it takes about 50 minutes to increase the charge to 10% from my laptop).
And when you flash, always have a full charge. ;-)

Hi there,
I'm using pure V30 ICS (the original one, downloaded from LG repository). However, I noticed a slow charging warning when I start to charge my phone. I plug it in the socket and the slow charging warning appears (like I were using USB) and due to this the battery takes to looooong to charge. Is there anybody with the same problem?
Regards.

probably some app is triggered by plugin in charger event and uses the battery
how long your phone lasts on full charge?

Slow charging appears if you charge it through USB port on computer. It's normal when using wall charger.

For me using wall charger or pc usb is the same, all times phone shows "slow charging"
then basically that means your wall charger is supplying current at 0.5A, which is the same current as pc usb ports.
either your wall charger is not original, or you are sharing the poweroutlet with multiple other plugs

Damn, the phone is plugged with the original battery charger, directly at wall poweroutlet I'm not a kiddy noob.
It's a problem with ics rom, with GB never happened. I've tried to full wipe and doing a clean install, but the problem persist...I've the new v30 baseband installed, too.
Damn, wall charging was never a problem for most of us with ics!!
It has to do with either your charger, your USB cable, or your phone (hardware).
Check them thoroughly, try charging another phone and see if it takes long too.
It never happened in GB because GB didn't had that slow charge notification, but it did charge very slowly through USB, though.
This is a problem with ICS ROM! I tested several kernels (V30B stock and custom) and in all of them the problem remains.
Everything here is original, the charger and the battery!
When I plug my wall charger in the socket (also in the wall) I got the USB SLOW CHARGING!
With GB it never happened!
I also tested with my wife charger (she has a P970 with GB) and the problem remains.
I also exchange chargers, and the problem doesn't exists in her P970 with my charger.
Just to be clear, here I have 230v/50Hz.
Regards.

Input: 100-240v / 50/60Hz / 0.2A
Output: 4,8v / 1 A

The output of this chargar is 5v with 2A... i.e. the double of the LG charger! Slow charge warning persists!

Do you know any kernel (ICS V30) that doesn't have this issue?
Regards.
Does anyone know what parameters should be changed (inside kernel, zImage) to get rid of that slow charging warning?
I only get rid of that warning by using "blue leds - stock kernel" provided by tantrums in Marvel v11 and v12 ROMs. However, this kernel has a bug that freezes my phone sometimes. So I want to get a stock kernel and change only this setting...
Does anyone can help?

So I'm making this quick, my dad's on vacation and he has a C6602 as well. He's in London, he called and said that his phone was 9% battery level so he turned it off. He then later called me from his other phone and said the Z isn't charging. He doesn't have the Z's original charger with him, for the past week he had been charging it with his Moto G charger and Nexus 7 charger. When he tried putting it on charge, he said the phone wasn't doing anything. The LED isn't lighting up and the phone isn't responding to anything. Any ideas on what to do? Its been used with care and was bought in Jan 2014. The phone has been left on charge for 7 hours straight and still no reaction!
What's wrong with it and is there a quick solution?
Thanks
Just letting you know, the phone was on 4.3 Jellybean (the build that ends with .101).

Hi Mate, I had a similar issue where my phone would not respond to anything, it only showed 3 red blinking lights when plugged into the charger, I left it for hours to charge but nothing, it would not even turn on while it was plugged into the charger, I read a few post and it seemed to be a battery issue. I tried one solution and it worked for me. Basically I had to wrap a rubber band around the phone so it holds the power button down and leave it on charge for a good few hours, it eventually came on again. now I know you said nothing happens when its plugged into the charger, but it won't hurt to give it a try and see if it helps, this may not be the solution to your problem but it might help. also try use the correct charger if possible. let me know if it worked.

Is it still on warranty? And do you have back-ups? I know it's an obvious answer, but a warranty claim is at its best.
Otherwise, bring it to a service. They can open the phone, connect a fresh battery and eventually swap it.
Otherwise, try plugging it in and out. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
When I connect my Xperia Z with my battery unplugged, the phone doesn't do anything, unless I connect the battery. Obviously, I had to remove the back cover and I don't advise this. But it will give you insight.

Unfortunately in Pakistan, there is no Sony warranty.
Also, I might remove the back cover if I convince my dad to get a new phone and let me experiment with his old Z.

So I removed the back cover, removed the plastic housing (that sits on top of the front camera cable and charging port) very violently disconnected the battery and connected the original charger and the red LED switched on. Now, while the charger was connected I re-connected the battery and the phone started charging. I switched the phone on and it was working fine. Now after the phone had charged to 50%, I copied my data to an SD Card. Then I (very stupid of me), very violently tried to re-fit that small piece of plastic housing back in and now the phone wont charge anymore and the plastic housing is slightly bent. check the picture to see how it looks. I then noticed the plastic housing had these little gold things inside it that make contact with the other little gold things on the motherboard. The phone is off right now but how do I fit that piece of crap plastic housing back in it's place? Any help will be appreciated.

Hey guys.
I own a Xiaomi MI5 Prime version (64/3GB).
I've always used the xiaomi.eu ROM with my bootloader unlocked and I've decided a few days ago to change my ROM.
Everything went well, I installed the ROM... BUT, my phone at 75/80% would stop charging. I'd replug the charger, it recognized that it was charging but it didn't charge.
So, I decided to calibrate the battery and the problem remained... But this time, it'd get to 100%, but I needed to permanently replug the charger because at a certain point it stopped charging.
I've flashed back to xiaomi.eu MIUI 7.2.9 due to this weird problem and no problem on this ROM.
Does any of you have this problem or had it, and if so, how did you solve it?
Thank you for your attention!
Try completely draining your battery so that it turns off itself.
Then try to turn it up again without plugging in.then use it so the battery that's left gets drained.
Charge it to 100% while powered off.
Worked for me.

I've tried this method but still unable to charge it past 80%. Drained it, rebooted, drained what was left. Then charged it while powered off, then when it got to 80% it rebooted and went to the charging screen again, but this time it wouldn't pass 80%. And now, as you can see by the screenshots, in the shortcut center it appears charging but in the battery settings it shows that it's not charging. Any idea now?

Strange.
You might try the process again maybe as it was taken from a manual battery calibration guide which said to do it 2-3 to calibrate perfectly though I didn't need it more then once.
Otherwise I have no idea what's going on that phone now.

It didn't reboot the system, it refreshed the charging screen. When it got to 80% , the phone turned off, went to Mi logo and then it wouldn't charge past 80%.
So then you suggest me to continue to try your method or do you think that I could try and calibrate it with the Battery Calibration app?

Calibration apps are worth a try.
Then if it doesn't fix,try completing 2-3 empty-full battery recharge cycles.
If that also fails then maybe a fastboot flash is an option.

I am facing the same strange issue. Sometimes is stops at 39%, sometimes at 69% (when powered on). Powered off I got the same behaviour. Reboots to charging screen and wont complete charging.. Always have to un and replug the chargee from the phone. Couldn't find any solution yet...
Also I noticed the charger sometimes gets really warm/hot..
I'm on 130217 build of lineage, haven't tried on miui.

What? How do you fastboot flash LineageOS?

Try on MIUI to see if you have the same issue. I don't have it...

No MIUI.
Fastboot flashes always solves unknown problems.

I've tried this method and FAILED. Don't know what else to do. Stopped charging this time at 77%. Yet, in MIUI everything remains good.
Tried in xiaomi.eu unofficial MIUI8 and everthing was fine. Went back to lineage with my backup phone didn't charge at all last night. Showed up the charging symbol but stayed at 20% over night. -.-

Same!
I had same problem on LineageOS. It was caused by using 1A charger for overnight charge, after switching to 2A it's gone, but also cable could have influence if it's poor quality. Seems that MIUI is handling charging in it's own, specific way.

Yes, I was indeed using another cable that was not from Xiaomi. Yesterday an original Xiaomi cable which I had ordered from eBay. Will try and flash again. I'll update you ASAP.

this was the solution for me! Thank you so much!
Well so I think this is the reason for my problem too. I've been using my old wall charger with the old cable with micro USB and adapter, as I didn't want to carry the quickcharger and type c cable all around. But its still confusing why it also stopped charging when I explicitly tried to charge it powered off with original cable and quick charger. The charger got really hot. Tried it again last night and had no problems on lineage..
I've officially had it with Wear 2.0, all of the good stuff is gone, but what's really winding me up now is the problem where I turn the watch off overnight (if I'm not near a charger) but I cannot turn it back on the following day. I see the LG logo with the padlock at the bottom, but the watch will not continue to boot and instead shuts down. There is more than enough battery (probably >50%).
Does anyone else have this issue?

Managed to edit and delete my post grr.
Basically same problem as you, info in the post above from adb shell regarding battery. Perhaps someone with a working watch could post there's so can compare.
To get your watch working try
Dumpsys battery set level 5
Dumpsys battery unplug
Since i did this watch has been off the cradle for 20 mins.
To reset the above
Dumpsys battery reset
Funny how this only started with aw2.0 ota update, prior to which was getting 1.5-2 days.
Perhaps something's corrupted somewhere. I did think the misc partition, tried to download it, to look at it can't see anything but zeros from DD bin file i made.
Tried reflashing, factory images, taking the back off disconnecting reconnect, run down in fast boot mode to nothing, downgrading, reflashing aw2.0, nothing has worked.
Doing the commands above could damage something so do at your own risk.

Did take a log cat before, some errors to do with batteryservice i think it was permissions. Will try to do it again later. At the moment just leaving it with the battery service dumpsys commands above to see how long it will go! Still working...
Update: failed at 2028, vibration went off caused it to turn off. Must be failing battery unable to provide sufficient current. I've ordered a new battery from eBay.

Was board so rigged this up (was described on another forum post but using a proper bat charger), left it connected for just under an hour, disconnected on rise of battery voltage.
I wouldn't recommend doing this.
Anyway watched booted up, fully off the charger after. Leaving it on charge for a while, will report back on experiment

Well i can report back this appears to have fixed the issue, been through a charging cycle all working no sudden shutdowns or failure to boot, just need to test in normal usage now

Same Issue
So is it working now? What did you EXACTLY do?
Yes working correctly now battery back to normal. Basically butchered a usb cable and rigged up to power as in picture above. Temp solder wires to battery.
If your going to do this make sure battery doesn't get too hot, expand or explode

Wow that's quite extreme, I guess? But I think Imma try other methods available first. This would be my last resort. Anyway thanks
There is definitely an issue here. Mine just started doing the same thing...
I ended up getting a new battery the old was working ok after rigging it up as my post however long term it was an old battery dated 2014

Same. Started having odd issues. Would not complete boot off cradle, powering off when removed from cradle or not booting at all on some kernels, etc... Fresh battery seems to have resolved all of it.
I had the same problem, tried factory reset a few times and flashed different kernels. Watch shut down as soon as I removed it from the cradle, however I removed the usb from the PC when the watch was in the cradle and the watch didn't shut down. It stayed on when I removed it from the cradle with the USB unplugged. Coincidence or maybe powersurge when removing the watch with usb plugged in?
Hey all, I'm having the same issue where the watch doesn't boot if it's not on the cradle. I've tried formatting and reinstalling multiple times but I still have that issue for some reason. It looks like once I boot into TWRP and take it off the cradle, it stays on. I'm going to try to drain the battery in TWRP and charge it up again in AW.
EDIT: Fixed it somehow, it seemed to work without the cradle when I would "fastboot boot" into official boot image and then take it off the cradle when it turned on.

Ok. So I've been following threads here for a while and i finally bought a new battery from fonejoy and had it replaced today...
I still cannot get past the android logo. It's the overheating. If i put the watch in the fridge i can boot up fine and the watch remains around 50 degrees celcius. Once it gets to 60 it shuts down. And it easily gets to 60.
Can someone please help me out?

Sorry for the late reply, I just noticed this message.
Basically the official boot image is the single core unmodified version that is posted in the forum here. The problem was that the kernel with 4 unlocked cores was putting too much stress on the battery. In the end even the single core boot image stopped working well so I bought a new battery.
Just saw this and trying to see how long it will last back on stock kernel... earlier wouldn't boot up but when booted from fastboot was ok but went into shutdown trying to download July's patch
Flashed back stock kernel and see how it goes
PS: anyone knows where in Malaysia the replacement battery can be bought as the local LG service center has no clue about it
Power off when removed from cradle
I have this issue ever since Wear 2 as well.
Bought a battery and replaced - problem now even worse - won't even stay on in cradle. Put original battery back in and it's still a problem, but not as bad as the new battery.
Contacted LG about this - they said they only repair in warranty, and referred me to a sub company called SBE. SBE say they no longer repair them.
Lots of heated emails between me and LG's Customer Service with no result. Basically if you own an LG product and it's out of warranty - it's pretty much time for the bin as far as LG are concerned.
Pretty disgusting service in my opinion. You expect a £200 watch to last longer than a 12 month warranty period - but LG won't budge.
Oh, and LG say they have never heard of this issue! That's either a lie, or they never read forums!!
Not sure what to do next really - but here is what I won't be doing:
I won't ever be buying another LG product!
