u need to get rooted and thn install album.apk of xperia its nice and will reduce the clutter too but u need to get rooted search if u want in themes and app section
for rooting if u like to then pls follow dr.ketans method its the easiest and best to prevent any emmc bug if u afraid of it.

Bummer, need rooting? I would like to preserve my sgn just incase if i wanna trade in for sgn 2. Cuz its still under 1 yr warranty. Might get higher price if i leave it that way.

Can't you just get QuickPic from the play store and hide those folders?

We don't know what you are looking for. How can we recommend anything if we don't know what you want?
Sent from my Galaxy Note running ICS
My suggestions is read the ROM threads - talk to the dev's and most of all decide what it is you want..
ROM's are personal to each and one's man's trash is another man's treasure
Happy hunting..
OH! Follow instructions to the word otherwise you could find yourself posting another "I've bricked my Note" thread...

Help idiot to installing costum rom on xperia x8

Ok I must say that I am idiot .... I soft bricked my phone like 5 times and now with my default kernel (flashed it) ... I have a huge battery problem and link2sd crashing problem ...
I have SE xperia x8 11w22 ...
I've been trying for 2 days to install GINGERXD on my phone ... I don't know why I can't do it ...
I installed cyanogenmod on my htc tattoo in like 2 hours with no problem .. but x8 gives me a lot of trouble ...
Right now I have default kernel on my phone ... rooted with flashtool and I have some FREEXPERIA RECOVERY... superuser app icon is android robots head with the pirate thing on his eye ...
one more thing .. how can I replace my current recovery with the clockwork one
PLEASE HELP ME WITH FULL GUIDE HOW TO DO THIS THING ( I don't want to screw up my phone :/ )!!!!!!!!
edit: I do not want to unlock bootloader ... I am scared of getting my phone hard bricked .. so if I can't install gingerxd without unlocking bootloader, please reccomend me some other good rom based on cyanogenmod that can work without unlocking bootloader
Well, you are not an idiot because you can't flash a rom!!! Calm down and everything will be fine
Did you full wipe/factory reset before installation of the rom?
For the battery problem try "wipe battery stats"

Op, what version of gdx are you trying to flash? Better use cwm, and do a full wipe BEFORE flashing the rom. Just search xda for the tut on how to install cwm on your x8.
Btw, gdx can run on stock kernel, so there is no need for you to unlock your bl. But out of curiousity, what's the maufacturing date of your phone?

I don't remember ..I've tried so many thing ...
what I am gonna do right now is:
1. flash my phone to default again (with flashtool, but I won't root and install recovery in flashtool)
2. root phone with superoneclick (or that';s not the right way ? )
3. install cwm recovery ( I will search on xda for tut.)
4. put rom on sd
5. wipe factory data
5. install rom via cwm
that's it... I mean is that the way it should be done ? I'm kinda really nervous .. only thing I don't want is hard brick on my phone ...
@cascabel I have no Idea of manif. date ... tnx btw

Ok ..., I rooted my phone successfully and installed busybox but I don't know how to install cwm ... there are like 50 ways just on forum ... what is the safest way to do it ?
Every way is safe if you follow instructions.
If you are experienced user with moving things around your system,do it manual,if you want the most simple way do it with x8toolbox.
