[Q] Samsung Galaxy S - can't turn on

i've tried to fix the dowload mode via the link
androidadvices.com/fix-download-mode-recovery-mode-bug-in-galaxy-s
but i accidently plugged out the usb cabel out of my PC.
Now i can turn on my phone but I can't do anything,
there's just an icon that my phone isn't connected to the PC,
and when i try to connect it nothing happens.
can someone please help me???

even the recovery mode doesn't work
the icon i described just flashes while i'm holding the buttons, nothing else happens...

Samsung Captivate Galaxy S

Is the icon you have a triangle with an android Guy and a shovel? If so try remove battery remove sim.remove SD. Insert bettery and go back into download mode and re odin..what phone also

If the icon is the one connexion posted, then it should be fixed if you build a jig. A jig is essentially 300k worth of resistors. You can research more on this subforum to find out more information about it

I had that icon after a soft brick trying to install GB, and my phone was actually in download mode. I opened Odin one click, plugged it in, and was able to flash back to stock. Then I got cocky and tried to install GB again, same symbol, different results. I was not able to save my phone until my jig arrived.
Moral of the story: phone!computer can sometimes be download mode, but not always, and keep a jig on hand just in case.

I had that when trying to install GB the first time as well. Have you tried putting the phone into download mode via vol down/pwr?
If that doesnt work try holding vol up/vol down and plugging in the usb cable. While doing both the above mentioned and this make sure the phone is powered off first. Perform battery pull
If you can get it into download mode, use odin to flash back to stock jf6 and then retry. Best use would be odin oneclick search for it, its somewhere in here

if key combo does not work for you, the jig will help then ... try to build one yourself, or buy it on ebay (search for "micro usb jig").

I tried to root my Galaxy note using the Odin method, and now i'm getting nothing but a screen that says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I would happily follow those directions, but now Kies won't recognize my device?!?!? I also can not get back into download mode. I have no idea what to do. Is there anyone out there that can help? please?

First make sure your phone is charged, before trying to get it into download mode again, if you can't you need a usb jig.

It was fully charged befor I started the update

Charge device for 1 hour.. Then pull out battery . wait for few seconds. again put battery in. Then Hold Volume down + home + Power for 10 secs. it should enter download mode.
If it doesn't work, Pull out the battery. hold volume up button put battery in holding volume up button, connect data cable to PC and Device, now it should get in to download mode.
if you able to get in to Download mode first flash Stock GB ROM using PC Odin.

This Comes When It Is Connected To Charger [AC] On Connecting To USB TO PC Nothing Happens Please Help For God Sake

Like In Attachment I Showed U The Image That Image Appears For 3--10 Secs And Gets Disappear again appears and this goes on when connected to charger[AC Mains] On Connecting To Comp Nothing Happens it doesnt boot in recovery or download mode mode on pressing vol down+power or vol up+ power
One Thing Is That On Pressing Both Volume Buttons And Power a Android Logo In Corner Comes with something written as power mode something like that
Like In The Image It Appears On Charging Only And Please Tell Me Which Type Of Brick It Is SOFT/HARD/COMA

Yes you have bricked your tab. No worries happened with mine too. Just install all the required drivers in your PC and when you get that logo connect your tab to computer and Odin will recognise it.
It is basically stuck with download mode with different logo.

Thankx Bro for replying but the logo appears for sometime and disappears again appears and vice versa on connecting to comp it is dead nothing comes on comp and also on tab rest of my friends said its battery is low so it is not boating in download or recovery mode but i charged for 9 hrs but it is what it was so plz give suggestions what to do.Please Give Me Your Cell No Via Private Msg i m too from India It Would Be Better If U EXplain this........................Please Help For God Sake

The thing is that it does not charge in the mode you are in.
If you know someone that has another Tab dismantle both and use other battery? Or charge your battery on another Tab... Or take your Tab to some kind of repair center and tell them to charge your battery outside of the Tab
Then you should be able to connect in download mode and restock.
What wrong files did you flash?

This is why you don't flash while on low battery, but yes you should be able to recover from odin still when your tab is at that stage. I used odin to recover mine when it was only displaying logo for a few seconds, once odin download begins it will lock your tab into a certain screen and be okay.

Hello everyone, I have the same problem as described in here, but please can someone give me some step by step instructions, i don't know where to find the drivers. I've done quick web search and found something but i turned out to be a virus. Once when i plugged in my bricked tab id showed up some classic Windows screen and installed some drivers, but now when i plug it in via USB it does nothing (in Odin also nothing). I've downloaded my stock ROM and Odin. Please help.

Now is it just a little billedeaf, a mobile and PC with a small yellow triangle in between, with the exclamation point?
is there any possibility that I can get it restored?

hey i have uset Odin ,and my phone works again, but with android 2.2.1, and i cant update , neither with kies or OTA(
and when I try to enter the menu, while pressing and holding Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together
I get a triangle with android where it says downloading??

Try to download the 2.3.3 firmware, update to 2.3.6 , root and then you can flash your roms normally...
ust be shure to download the right firmwares.

use any i9000 rescue kit or upgrade kit in My Android Collections, and you will be fine,
connect to odin3 and it will be able to flash.

try to clean your battery contacts, check if battery is swollen and charge battery externally if possible, BUT if this happened because you interrupted flashing or lost power whilst flashing than you need to look at My Android Solutions

try this... take battery out do the 3 button combo to get into recovery mode or download mode and while holding buttons re-insert battery, then leave phone for about 5min and see if it comes alive.

Hey, man: you've pressed vol down if download mode appeared LOL check what happens if you use vol.up instead
Don't worry, if you have download mode, there is great chance you will save it. Check my recent post how I revived my nearly bricked i9000, sent few days ago (nearly step by step)

My samsung galaxy mini has got into dead mode,because I installed a custom rom from this link . My phone is not turning ON. Even when I'm charging my phone,it is not showing the charging icon and also when I connected it to PC via USB,it is not showing the battery icon. My phone was totally got dead.So,now I jus want to go to download mode,How can I do this.Please help me.....I heard that we can do this by using JTAG blah blah, I couldnt understand ,So give me the clear (procedure)explanation and required files that how can i go to download mode.

You have the right area so don't worry about that.
It looks like your phone is done for good, but let's try to salvage it. Follow the steps carefully to avoid messing it up even further.
1.Make sure your battery is charged. Use an universal charger or something similar to charge it if not.
2.Unplug your phone from your USB cable or charger.
3.Put the battery back inside but do not power it up yet.
4.Hold the VOLUME DOWN button and the HOME button. While holding both of them, press and hold the POWER button. You should be prompted with a DOWNLOADING message. If nothing shows, then it's dead.
5.If you are shown the message, then you can still make it work. Make sure you have all your USB Drivers installed. After that download ODIN.
6.Open ODIN and plug in your phone while it is still in DOWNLOAD mode.
7.If it recognizes it, follow the steps here and you should be done.

As you mentioned in the 4th point, I've done what u suggested me to do by pressing the keys VOLUME DOWN,HOME,and POWER keys,but my phone is not switching into download mode....It is Dead mate..... Please help me

There is not much left to do. If there is a method of fixing this type of hard brick, the chances are very slim. You're better off sending the phone to Samsung Care.

Google and YouTube search for USB JIG. that might help you. It works on dead phones.

try a stock gingerbread by odin
and if it stuck at Samsung image go to recovery mod and clear data and cashe

Connection: 0 is drivers or kies problem. Uninstall all the Samsung USB drivers and re install them and also force stop or close kies running in background.
