What do you mean by unrom?
Flashing procedure for the rom is same like other custom roms ..just make sure you have a safe kernel

What i mean is as far as you are on a safe kernel, there are no chances of getting your phone hard bricked
And if anything goes wrong, you can safely go back to stock rom

GT-N7000 Claim Warranty

Hi,
I flashed my Galaxy note with CM9 and my phone stuck at samsung logo.i couldn't even flash Stock Rom using ODIN. Then i used PIT file and successfully flashed but the problem is my 3GB of internal storage was damaged. It is showing 8.24GB of total space. Now i want to claim for warranty . I used Triangle Away to reset flash counter and flashed stock Rom without Root .Is it ok now for claiming warranty?
Thanks in Advance.
Depends in your country. Some countries still accepts warranty eventhough you're rooted

its going to work that way because of the bad sectors in the mmc now.. best bet is to use a ROM that is as slim as possible.
or get the motherboard changed

Maybe just to check whether the version of Odin he's looking at (assuming that's the question) can be used with the I9000 (if its one of those online guides from other websites, some of them can be a bit vague). Plus, so many versions of Odin

[Q] Will a hard reset brick my phone? [SOLVED]

I have a 4.1.2 android version of GT-N7100. I'm on an official rom. My phone is NOT rooted. Will a hard reset (by entering into a recovery mode, and factory reset) can brick my phone?
Is there any steps that i have to do before doing a hard reset?
I read a lot of threads and i get confused with myself about the SG-note being brickable.
EDIT: Okay nevermind. I will just patch a safe kernel and do a hard reset.
A factory reset will delete all user installed apps, and all settings will be returned to default.
Back up your internal sd card, phone and sms logs.

Since you are on JB it might be safe, but why risk it mate?
Flash Philz kernel and then perform all the wipes.
Good luck.

Mate performing hard reset on note 2 is all safe..the deal is u need to be on 4.1.2 since all roms based on 4.1.2 base are note 2 sds patched.
So u r safe.dont worry..I too reset my phone and its normal!

Personally I wouldn't risk it without flashing a safe kernel first.

Don't listen to this guy. Seriously. JB has not been proven safe By anyone. Flash Philz first.
That's like saying I did heroin and didn't die so u are OK...
Don't do heroin, and don't trust a Samsung ROM on this device to be brickbug safe. I don't care if people claim JB is brick bug safe. I am on this forum every day and read EVERY n7000 post. It is NOT proven safe.

Not all phones get bricked when a full wipe is performed.
If you got lucky, and didn't bricked yours, you can't suppose it's safe and recommend it to everyone. That is just a plain stupid thing to do.
JB does have the emmc cap erase enabled, so it is NOT safe. Just look at the sources.

Let's say that 4.3 update has knox bootloader and not everyone wants to void their warranty by updating theirs.
Hmm.. It is also possible to flash only kernel by MobileOdin, I am curious whether it will boot then...

However I don't need stock kernel for anything, therefore it isn't the most important issue

Hmm agree. But it seems 4.3 is draining more battery than 4.1.2 IMO.
