4G and quadcore

Hello people, my question is whats stated in the title, im due an upgrade in 5 months but i am wanting the new 4g network when it becomes avaliable here in UK so would it be worth going for a quadcore phone first or waiting and getting a quadcore 4g? or will I have an extremely long wait?

I'd save my money get a decent dualcore with 4 g why waste etxra money on quad core when its just overkill on a phone. Until battery life catches up dual cores the most I'm going to buy.
My opinion quadcore for tablets with bigger battery an screen realestate, phones no need to go above dual cores..

Never thought about gettin a good dualcore and going with 4g, from what ive read in news it says the quadcore will use less power,unless ive been reading crap.
Does anyone know when 4g will be out in the UK?

That phone is absolutely pathetic.It has an extra power saving core,but for what? Nothing.It does nothing.Battery life is really low in it.If you are going to flash roms and such,then S3 might be good.Otherwise,Galaxy Nexus.What i suggest,S3,i have the phone and its great,great battery life,pretty smooth and all that.But if you don't need a quad core and is not a big gamer,then its the Galaxy Nexus,BUT,the Galaxy Nexus has no microSD slot.

Sell it,get some extra money and get a SII if u want a fast phone with big screen resolution and decent internal space (2 gb vs the 180 mb of the SGA) or if u want something more powerful go for SIII definetly.
Both are good phone but if u are a guy who like games with a strong exigency and HD graphics without lags go for SIII,the quad core helps definetly.
I had SII and the experience is relatively bad,dual core 1.2 mHz and games like angry birds space,asphalt,wheres my water still get lags :/

What? Its not 1.2Mhz,its 1.2Ghz dual-core.And,if games like those lag,either you bought another phone or your phone is messed up,because
1.My cousin has a SGS2,they run Angry Birds Rio and such like piece of cake
2.I can play these games pretty smoothly on my SGA,and there would be no arguments if i say SGS2 is 3 times better than SGA

An O4X for $300 is still a pretty good deal.

Yes don't let people fool u. The 4x is really equal to a s3 and better then a hox specially battery life. It is our luck that lg kinda ruined their name because u get a device 200 dollars less then the s3 and the hox. But i think the price might gonna skyrocket for future handsets since lg now made the nexus 4 that gives them reputation.

I agree problem is that MOST PEOPLE don't know anything about bootloader and all that jazz. They are happy if the Smartphone just works. And the 4x HD basically works fine right out of the box unlike the 2X. So i guess even though it borders you and me MOST PEOPLE won't even know and care.

As i know and in the most german magazin test the 4x is better then the nexus, but the nexus is directly from google and get sbetter support (like official 4.2 for nexus and only 4.12 for 4x wich is btw older) but the nexus 4 got more ram then 4x (2Gb i think?)
our 4x got a bigger display cause of no softkeys..
both got a quadcore (Cpu are close similary)...
but NExus got a better Gpu...
And one think i really like and need: the nexus got NO external sd!! only internalstorage!!

i had the same question which to buy and i decieded for the 4x cause it is much more cheaper
and cause of the above ;D

HTC maxx

I wanted to get the HTC maxx but after seeing that it is going to come with an s4 pro I'm going to have to pass. My info is based from evleaks on blink feed. They are normally right.

There's no way in hell that phone would sell if it came with the S4 pro. I think they may have received a false tip on this. I'm still believing in seeing an 800 in it.

Yeah i'm agreeing with you. No way that' it's releasing with a s4. They would literally be shooting themselves in the foot if they did that.

There's no room in a device of the One's size for a 3200mAh battery.

I don't think HTC can afford to give the Note 3 the advantage.

Impossible, no device has S4 Pro. Budget handsets now have Qualcomm S400 dual core chips.
It is IMPOSSIBLE that an unannounced device will ship with that

They're not gonna call it a "Max" with the same screen size. Plus, photos were already shown and it has a way larger screen.
However, I'm on the same page as most of you guys. I'd love to have it, but if it doesn't have the 800 in it, I won't get it. My plan was to get the Note 3 and get rid of that when the Max came out, but maybe I'll just keep my One and hang on to the Note 3. It just doesn't seem possible that there wouldn't be an 800 in the Max. I guess we'll see.
