Slow wakeup - LG Optimus 4X HD

Hi
I bought my lg 4x 2 weeks ago. Played around with rooting and deodexing (later I found the deodexing script on xda-devs. Thx great script!).
I had bootloops and no chance to flash the kdz because my pc doesn't recognize my phone. So I thought I can't use adb anymore.
Thousand of tries later I could upgrade via kdz flashing tool(luck).
Since reflashing my stock fw(10f) my phone is very slow after it was a long-time in standby. When I push the power button it comes up after 1-2seconds. Isn't much, but it's all the time even on calls.
I rooted first manually, then via script. Both nothing changes on wakeup time.
Deodexed(always losing lg keyboard...but I love it ), removed all bloatware nothing... v6 supercharger, forced launcher to memory via build.prob...nothing...still the long time to wakeup.
When it is woken up its fast. Amazing fast (I came from HTC Sensation)
Everyone else got this? Or somebody who can help to solve this?
Can you post your tweaks and what they change? (Especially build.prob)
Regards
Edit: power management tells me Android_System uses 61% of my battery power??
PS: sorry for poor english!

Hy
I have the same problem, slow wake up, did almost the same as you and nothing.
I have found the hidden menu in LG just type 3845#*880# and you will get hidden menu and allot of testing stuff.

Try everything, then just sent it to repair shop, and they changed the motherboard, so thats that. :S

Sliding won't work anymore

Hey guys,
I could need a bit of help! It's now the third time I'm having this problem, don't ask me why. I've got the feeling that I read the whole forum here, but didn't find anything similiar.
The 1st time I didn't change anything (ok, rooted it, but nothing else)
The 2nd time I overclocked it slightly (~850-900 MHz)
Now I'm using MIUI.
But back to the problem:
I'm unable to use the keyboard, every time I'm sliding open the keyboard (even when it's turned off), it "crashes". The screen stops working or it freezes, the only way to turn it off is taking out the battery.
However, the bigger problem comes now: I'm barely able to restart it. It tries booting, but is restarting all the time or the screen is just turning on (in some angles you see that it is turned on but it's black). After many retries, it starts working, sometimes the bootloop is running 15min or i have to manually restart it 10 times or more. The strange thing is that the keyboard works fine, nevertheless I have to choose between using it opened (taking it with me becomes difficult ) or closed...
...the main problem now is flashing a new Rom, I'm currently trying it through the android sdk and adb, but using the power-button + x is easier
I don't think that I can solve the problem, I sent the device two times back (warranty till may 2012), but maybe someone here knows a bit more. My guess is that one of the sensors is broken, or some parts of the display that should manage the sliding process...
Anyway, thanks for your attention!

Tried to use one a time ago, but it wasn't working right....
However, now I'm not even able to boot it, the screen just flashes and turns off itself before trying to restart a few moments later....guess I lost my Milestone

the computer isn't finding it anymore...I'll back up the data and try use my warranty... I hope that they don't complain about MIUI...
But I'm still not getting the point, why my mobile had these issues three times, although they "repaired" it twice...and nobody else is having the same problem

touch screen not responding

I read already that a few ppl had this problem with different ROMs. I never had it before today. I switched the screen on and it looked normal but I couldn't do anything. I could swich the screen off again and tryed to press the power button long, OK shoutdown menu apeared but as the touch screen didn't respond I couldn't select anything. Well I pulled the battery out and it started normal, works good again.
Maybe I never have this problem again, but if it apears again might canging the kernel help or is it a ROM problem? I had this problem with JellyBam 4.1 so I could just use a different CM10 kernel.
BTW as I pulled the battery I have no log, but there might be a change to still get that log with ADB because the phone was still running just no touch response and that means (nearly) unuseable. I just have no clue how to do it, if it is posible could somebody tell me how to get that log?
Before pull out battery, try hold both Vol + and Power button until the phone restart (if it can, if not, then, you can pull out battery and forget the logcat ^^)

This appears to be a common P970 bug with 4.04+ ROMS. Loss of touch control, and long-pressing the power button brings up the shutdown menu which you can't access.
GB/2.3.4 ROMs don't have this bug. I'm not aware of any fix, save reverting to GB.

OMG somebody is still replying to that old post, over a year old, I don't even use that phone anymore, may last year I got my S3.
As I said, it only happend to me once with the JellyBam 4.1 ROM, I didn't gave to mutch to that problem with JellyBam, cause it was not the only one. That ROM was bs and didn't stayed long on my phone. It had everything, but nothing worked.
A lot GB and ICS ROMs worked well and even most of the CM ones worked rather good, they where just to power hungry. I liked all the Zeus ROMs, especially IZS. IZS is LG 4.0.4 based and was by fare the one I liked the most.

I shouldn't have replied to you. It's an old post. I should have targeted the latest post in the thread.
i think its hardware issue,,if i press and hold a little while on upper screen (right beside lg logo) touch screen became normal again. but sometimes need to hold on there when touch not work again. a member on this forum call it a flex issue of the touchscreen.
anyone know how much cost to replace it with new flex to fix this issue?

[Q] OTA Update - Screen Rotation Bug

Hi,
My Xperia gave an OTA Update and said it improves battery life and enhanced user experience.
After the update the screen rotation is all messed up. The screen settings are wrong. Worst of all, even after turning it off, the games are also not working right (probably because of wrong readings).
I have also tried *#*#7378423#*#* and tried to callibrate.. but of no avail.
Also the screen goes blank adn pressing the power button does not respond for a while.
Any idea how this update can be rolled back.. The phone is a mess now which is especially bad cause I was loving the experience so far. :S
Any help..
Bump..
Ive also done a factory reset and also updated via Sony PC Companion..
No use.. Im guessing Im the only one whose phone was updated from SONY yesterday to deliberately make me hate it .. :S

Flash new firmware with flashtool...
yup did that.. finally to get rid of sony's stupid update and it worked..
Thankfully the phone is back as good as it was and does not lag on unlocking like it had started to do so.
One small problem, the rotate screen does not work sometimes, when I restart it it works. But atleast its not giving crazy readings like it was with SONY update.

Did you recalibrate from service menu after the final flashing? Just an idea..
no not really.. it started to work fine after flashing of the original software (4.3)
I DID however tried my best to recalibrate from Service menu BEFORE flashing i.e with the updated software patch from Sony.. but it didnt work. Every time I recalibrated on Flat surfaces, it said calibration successful.. but after a min or two wehn using the phone. all of a sudden they went bonkers again
After a day like that the readings stopped showin..?? I thought the phones hardware went bust .. but apparently a software issue..

Android software issue - the phone constantly reboots itself, lockscreen crashes.

Hi!
I have a really strange problem with my P880.
Yesterday I changed a few things in gps.conf file in system/etc and then rebooted the phone.
I went down to the kitchen, got back to my desk with hot tea and to my surprise - my phone went crazy!
It turns on, there's LG boot animaton, then for a little while lock screen appears, which disappears and there's only black screen with status bar. After a few seconds everything freezes and the phone reboots itself.
About a week ago I modified some files to add QSlide to my 4X HD and I guess those files might have brought these troubles.
What can I do? Should I flash V20B software via LG Mobile Support Tool? Will it clear all my data (music, pictures etc.) ? Can I save them somehow?
I'd be very grateful for any help. It's already over one day without my phone and it's driving me insane
PS. Sorry for my English, I'm not native
OK, problem solved.
I've "updated" (V20B -> V20B) the software according to instructions from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723 and the phone works fine now. Nothing is lost :victory:

[Q] Hard briked S3 mini out of nowhere

I have the feeling I'm going to get repetitive here guys, but I've been reading the troubleshooting threads for over an hour and couldn't find an answer to help me.
Last saturday I was to lazy to move from the couch, so I watched as my S3 Mini ran out of battery. I got the "phone is turning off" screen as usual. Later I went to bed, but as I needed my alarm to go off in the morning I tried turning it on again, and nothing* happened. Plugged it on the wall, nothing*. Replaced the battery, nothing*. Gave it a good half hour plugged, and as you can guess, nothing*.
* when I say nothing, I mean it won't light up, won't vibrate, won't wink for me, won't load any kind of error, it's actually just like if you were trying to turn on a phone without any battery connected, no grasp of life comes from its poor soul.
The only moment I could see some action on the device is when I tried connecting it on the PC a few hours ago, as it installed drivers to Windows. Right after installing the drivers however, it won't show in the file explorer. I've tried to detect it with a few development tools such as ORT and Odin and there was no sucess either. Download or Recover mode will not work as well.
One thing I think worth mentioning, is that ever since I rooted it a couple of years ago, whenever I tried to recharge it while it was off, the standard "green charging battery" would never appear. What would appear on the screen was a freezed loading icon (the one that keeps roling again and again, but frozen). This particular issue never came off, even reseting it or installing new ROMs.
I always used Maclaw's, some of the latest 4.x, because I tought the 5.x was to heavy for the s3 minis.
I've read some about USB JIGs and stuff, but what makes me very curious is what the heck?! The phone was working just fine, the battery runs out and I have a brick? Is this possible? Can anyone tell me any work around?
I apologize for possible grammar mistakes.

try to plug in the phone into charger & leave it there like 20 mins or more. battery loads then.
then try access samsung download mode, if you cant the phone is probably useless (brick for ever) because itslike mthe last standing thing.
& sorry i say that but thats typically samsung behaviuor. there allways this kind of threads in the samsung forums of xda... other manufacturer can mostly be restored or atleast you know what make it dead.
Exactly the same problems happening to me.
This is my thread:

Can you try to follow what appears on this link? (I can't by now because my PC is broken)
I think won't do nothing because you won't be able to access to the recovery mode on android, as me, but to try...

Hi there,
Thank you for your interest but I have passed this point already. Tried a brand new battery I had laying down in the drawer (which was fully charged with an universal charger) and there is no answer to any attempt of turning it on. Via recovery, download or normal boot.

Hello there,
I'm sorry to hear I'm not the only one affected by this bug (lets call it a bug). This shows there is a lack of concern from Samsung on dealing with this issues, and thus we see that old programmed obsolescence.
I will try that later on the weekend, and I come back here with an report.
Cheers

this guide useless for you. how u want flash things with odin if u cant enter download mode at all??
im really sorry for you that this phone is dead. just can give you 1 advice, dont buy samsung in future.
I have been repaired my phone successfully!!!
I just needed to change two capacitors on its motherboard, and that's it.
Here the video where I have found the info and how to do that. It's in Spanish but easy to understand for you I think. But if you need some help, send me a PM.
can you take a picture from the location of the 2 capasitors and the types of it
Hi everyone.
I have some news. It took me a while but I followed CrashOverride93's advice on that video. It actually solved one issue, as I now can turn it on, but now I have a second problem, I'm stuck on a boot loop, with acess to Download mode ONLY. No recovery.
Considering where my issue started, and where I am now, I have tried the following:
- Flashed via Odin stock ROM, kernel;
- flashed Wipe;
- flashed PARAM;
- three button combo.
So far I couldn't get it pass the boot loop. Any thoughts?
