Hi,
Just installed RocketROM v10.XXLRK after full wipe so previous ROM can't affect my misbehavior anyhow. After installing I set up some scripts from here and GPS fix from here. I got a problem while taking screenshots with default app and while reporting on apps crash - system become unresponsive for some time, doesn't react on any buttons nor screen touches then I get the message that screen capture or Google Play has stopped. Though I can change screenshots app there is nothing to do with Google Play... Any other activity is perfect no additional bugs or errors appear
Would appreciate any comments so far
Thanks in advance
It seems to me that made a mess of scripts installed on your system. Probably the only solution is a full wipe and install ROM from the beginning.

Well I took the plunge last night and rooted and installed the Cynogen ROM and after some pretty tense moments everything worked!!
Only thing is Cherry Rplayer, a decent radio app I liked will no longer work: I get a "Sorry! The application Cherry Rplayer (process com.leadapps.android.radio.cherryrplayer) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close" message immediately upon launch.
I searched for a similar app & found 'A Online Radio' (which looks exactly the same as Cherry Rplayer in the screenshots in the app store?) and it does the same exact thing.
Other radio apps continue to work fine such as 'NPR News'. I've also tried re-installing and still does not work.
What's up with that?
Thanks in advance
Did you flash with the latest version, ie, 5.0.5.2? One of the changes include
* Disable V8 in Webkit and switch back to JSC due to app incompatibilities

No, I used 5.0.5.1. But I just upgraded to 5.0.5.2 and launching these apps result in the same immediate force close message.
In case anyone else is having the same problem, I was able to find in another thread that fixing uid mismatches in recovery (THANKS jsapp & travon802!) solves this problem...
I'm having the same problem with Power Manager Pro (I bought it, so it's kind of annoying) and fixing uid mismatches didn't solve it.
Happens since CM5.0.5. I'm currently on 5.0.5.2
I'm taking a poll using fix number 4 for the fresh rom 2.1.2 the apps get uninstalled but do not get removed from the uninstall application menu and when selected it force closes on me. want to know if this is just me or dose this happen to everyone.

I would try wipe and reinstall. I used fix number 4 and my htc apps have been completely removed.
I have to agree, I am also still seeing com.htc.worldclock and com.htc.lockscreen and clicking on them does in fact cause a FC. But I can confirm that those apps are indeed uninstalled, so I don't see it as a huge deal. I don't like using the manage applications menu anyways because it takes so long to compute all the sizes and load all the names, so not a huge deal for me. You think that maybe whiping the dalvik cache might fix this? Just a suggestion, not sure what it would actually do.
I don't know i will try it i just hope it not related to a bigger problem
I tried wiping via recovery and it tells me to flash via adb shell I'm currently running recovery 1.5.2
I have found that even on 1.5 if you removed a system app after it was installed on the phone that it still left a trace on the phone. the way I got around it was just by downloading the ROM unzipping it changing what I wanted to change and then rezip and resign and then flash then there is no trace at all.
im not to sure how to sign a rom is there a good page tutorial for it.\
Thank you

Wiping Dalvik doesn't fix this problem for me. I have the same issue -- "ghost" items in your Manage Applications menu that you know you have already uninstalled.
One temporary fix I've found is if you go into the Manage Apps menu and "Clear Data" in either "com.smithmicro.DM" or "Download Manager", all the ghost apps and pieces go away. But this doesn't last through a reboot -- those all show back up again after every reboot, so it's not a permanent fix.
Any others have any luck with clearing these "ghost apps/pieces" out of the Manage Applications menu?
(I'm currently using ZenEXP MT3G ROM 0.9.6.3)
I haven't looked into it, but I noticed the same problem. The app list must be cached somewhere, which is interesting because it takes a good 10 minutes to load the app list every time i go to manage applications, which is why I rarely use it.
I just updated my CM9 nightly to CM10.1 one (20130903) by milaq. Everything seems great but the multi-user functionality is experiencing some crashing. Trebuchet starts crashing when I install Google Hangouts or Facebook for the freshly added user. The problem goes away when the app (Hangouts, Facebook) is removed for that user. Hangouts also crashes when I try to launch it. Facebook causes so frequent Trebuchet crashing that it cannot even be started.
Hangouts and Facebook work for the primary user.
Trebuchet also experiences some strange behaviour for the extra users. Newly installed apps are not visible in the apps list until a reboot. Widgets also seem missing from the list of all widgets and do not seem to reappear until the Trebuchet data is wiped from the settings.
Any ideas how to overcome these issues? The multi-user functionality seems to be incomplete, but I didn't find any information about it with a brief Google search.
Do you have a theme applied? I have found that the multi user feature doesnt work with themes. Return to the stock theme and everything should work.
Problem solved!
Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize that the theme that was a leftover from my CM9 installation could cause problems because everything worked fine for the primary user and the theme was a simple colour theme.
Thanks again!
Ive been using Xposed mods and recently followed a guide for freezing unneeded apps and a few days later my clock widget is always showing the wrong time, my calls and text shown up out of order and games randomly freeze my phone. I'm linking to pictures of my mods, maybe its an obvious error on my part.

Sounds more rom related. Remove xposed and see if ur good
BAD ASS NOTE 4
Uninstalling Xposed doesn't work. I've also cleared cache and still same bugs.
I want to share this, in case someone else gets into the same bad spot. Perhaps it might help someone.
I unboxed my Nokia 8 this afternoon, and so far I'm impressed with the call quality and general build of the phone. All was going well, until I installed my favorite launcher (Nova Launcher Prime), and then I used a Nova Launcher backup file from another phone, which had been running Nougat. Then, I started getting this error: "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped". The screen would show this, flash off, flash on, show this, and repeat. The only action I could perform was to power off or restart. A few seconds after a restart, the problem recur.
This seems (based on reading random forum threads around the web) to have been a problem between Oreo and the "transparent notification bar" setting in Nova Launcher. I'm testing running Nova right now, without using the backup file from the old phone, and so far, so good. I did a factory reset of my phone, but you if anyone finds themselves in a similar fix, you can also try rebooting into Safe Mode and uninstalling Nova (or whatever app causes the error).
I am using Nova Launcher Prime and have transparency enabled. No errors at all. But I have set up everything from scratch.
GpoGoGo
Nova Launcher Prime works fine here after backing up from my Moto G5 Plus
Nova Launcher works fine here too. I've used Nova for a while and it's been my experience also that restoring a Nova backup from a previous phone can result in problems. Having said that, restoration on the same phone the backup has been made on has always worked flawlessly. If you start from scratch with Nova on a new phone (somewhat of a nuisance) all works well
Nova prime beta was the first thing I installed, great on Nougat and even better on Oreo.
No issues for me.
I imported a backup layout then tweaked it instead of new setup.

I've bad experience with any kind of backups (including Google backup) - always something goes wrong on any device.
I'll suggest you that when you migrating to new device just don't use any backups.
Back to topic.
I've transparent bar on (I think this is default setting) and no issues at all.
It's definitely backup fault.
I have recently started to have this issue, not sure if it is Nova causing it or something else.
I notice 2 things alongside the system crash -
Often when trying to open the camera app it will trigger the crash no matter if I have no apps open in history or 20 open.
When this happens the phone runs very hot and does not respond to anything, even the power button.
Occasionally the app draw will open (swipe up method) but not show any apps and I need to leave it for some time.
Right now I have uninstalled Nova and will use the stock launcher for a few days to test it, even though I really do not like the stock launcher as it has zero options to customise or use icon sets
I'll report back how the phone performs in the next few days but if anyone has any more info from their experiences it would be good.

I had problems with my Nova launcher. Used a backup from my old phone and then Nova made the battery drain very fast. Removed it and it's files then installed it again without the backup. Made a new config from scratch and now the battery is fine.
So far no issues with stock launcher or Microsoft launcher.
If it is still stable I will go for a fresh install of Nova in a couple of days.
